Patron and Pariah, Part Two

[19:57]Ash Jawantal: The clouds hung like a leaden shroud over the desert, trapping the day's heat, a stifling blanket. Two figures climbed the wooden stairs to an abandoned mine, puffing with the exertion. They paused as they reached the top, just as another pair emerged from the darkness. A Miqo'te, dark skinned and dark haired, and a young Hyur wearing pale blue and rabbit ears. They smiled, then the Miqo'te spoke the phrase that indicated they were the buyers. "Warm night", he said. "The carpets are plush..."
[20:00]Sable Moonsong: "Is there really carpets here?" she asks, tilting her head as she glances around, emerging from behind the miqo'te. "Oh! That's the thing-a-ming!" she exclaims, smiling happily at Ash before she turns to peer at the arrivals. "Hello, welcome to the non-carpet, spooky mine!"
[20:00]Sable Moonsong welcomes Zazanther Rerenther.
[20:02]Voyde Sharde blinks and stares at the be-eared woman with cold steel grey eyes. Hidden behind her visor however, was the biggest shit eating grin she could manage without her eyes crinkling up.
[20:04]Zazanther Rerenther [Kakase] climbed to the top of the starts for the abandoned mine. Though she was in shape, the stairs were not built to accomidate the short legs of Lalafells. She had to pause for a moment to catch her breath. She soon noticed two figures emurge from the mine, a Miqo'te and a young Hyur. The Miqo'te approached and spoak the words she had recevied at the drop spot. "In the houses of the Syndicate." was her responce. She simply gave a brief nod to the Hyur before focusing on the buyer mage.
[20:07]Ash Jawantal: The Miqo'te smiled back at the bunny-eared Hyur, then stepped forward. "I'm Ash", he said, "and this is Sable. I'd offer you refreshments, but..." He gestured around him. "Abandoned mine. High desert. Anyways!" He grinned winningly, indicating the bundle in Voyde's arms. "That's what we're here to see, isn't it?"
[20:09]Sable Moonsong grins very brightly at the mysterious womena in steel and the little lady. "Yes, I'm Sable! I'm Ash's guard! Though I don't have metal clothes like yours does.." she mumbles, peering down at herself as if she was trying to imagine herself in a pretty cool metal outfit.
[20:11]Voyde Sharde 's lips pursed slightly behind her visor as she adjusted the bundle held protectively in her arms. She looked down at her current ward, and then at the prospective buyers, remaining silent as always as she awaits the continuation of the transaction. Not like she had much to input.
[20:12]Zazanther Rerenther [Kakase] nodded at the women. "The names Kakase. I hear you are looking for a new...connection to some goods. As you can see from my guard, I might be your new connection. I do hope they are to your liking." She was a bit nervous, not really having done something like this before. She did not let this show, least it give the buyer pause.
[20:13]Ash Jawantal gestured toward the armored guard, nodding. "You don't know how fortunate this is", he said. "We do go through a lot of this. Let's see what you've got, alright?"
[20:14]Zazanther Rerenther [Kakase] nods to Voyde, indicating for her to step forward with the goods in her hands.
[20:16]Voyde Sharde nods and takes a step forward as one hand slips into the bundled goods she held. Plucking out one phial by the neck, she holds it up between herself and Ash to display it, while canting her arm forward to show there were many more within her protected satchel.
[20:19]Sable Moonsong tilts her head, her bunny ears bobbing for a moment before she suddenly marches right up to the metal lady. She peers at the phial, her teal eyes now squinting really small as she inspects it.
[20:20]Voyde Sharde 's vision diverts to Sable who she does regard with some caution. The satchel itself was clutched back to her chest, while the lone phial was extended for inspection.
[20:20]Ash Jawantal moved closer, peering at the vial. It contained a smokey liquid that shimmered in the light. He reached for it, pausing with his fingers a fulm away from the vial. "May I?"
[20:21]Voyde Sharde glances to the Lalafel. After all, she was just the guard.
[20:22]Sable Moonsong begins to pout slightly, glancing to Ash. "It's not the shiny green one... Orr was it blue..?" she asks, frowning at herself. "Pretty sure it's blue.... maybe..." she mumbles, now talking to herself.
[20:23]Zazanther Rerenther [Kakase] nods to the responce of "May I?" She had made sure to take out the other things her seller had palced in the satchel, leaving only what the mages needed to purchase.
[20:25]Ash Jawantal took the vial, holding it up to the light. He uncorked it, smelling it. He almost poured a droplet on his finger to taste, but then shook his head. "It's good", he decided, corking it again. He glanced at Sable, moistening his lips. "*Yours* is the green one, isn't it, Sable?"
[20:28]Sable Moonsong 's face seems to brighten. "Ah! Yes, green one!" she says, nodding. "Thank you for reminding me, Ash! What would I do without you?" she asks as she returns to his side. "Are we not going to taste it, Ash?"
[20:28]Voyde Sharde arches a brow, looking between the male and female before her for a few moments in silence, before she takes a step back to return to Kakase's side.
[20:31]Zazanther Rerenther: [Kakase] "So, I take that what is provided is up to your satisfaction?" She had imagined that they would be but it was best to be safe in asking. These were not ordinary mages and she wanted to play her own part as long as she could. It was though the connections with the Sisters that would keep the guards off her, allowing her to be the seller to the mages without intruption.
[20:33]Ash Jawantal smiled brightly at Sable, shaking his head. "We don't need to taste it, I can tell from the smell of it..." He uncapped it again, waving it under her nose so that she could smell the telltale acrid tang of it. He corked it again, then drew out a leather pouch, heavy with coin. "The agreed on price, I think", he said, tossing and catching it in his hand.
[20:34]Zazanther Rerenther [Kakase] nooded to Voyde, indicating for her to hand over the satchel and retreive the payment from the mage.
[20:35]Voyde Sharde looked down to the lalafel at her side and nodded, taking a step toward to gently hand off the satchel of phials to Sable while extending an upturned palm toward Ash.
[20:37]Sable Moonsong sniffs at the vial then making a sour face. "Bleh." she says with a shudder before she squeaks softly as she is handed the satchel of phials."Oh! Thank you metal lady!" she exclaims,smiling brightly.
[20:38]Ash Jawantal placed the bag in Voyde's upturned palm, nodding at the armored figure, then smiling down at the Lalafell. "Perfect", he said, stepping back. "How much more of this could you get, and how often? We do run through it quickly..."
[20:40]Zazanther Rerenther: [Kakase] "As often as you need it my friend. Though knowing the frequency of the trades will be important so I can plan accordingly and my source able to make what you need in a timely manner so that you don't run out at a bad time."
[20:42]Voyde Sharde once more turns back to return to Kakase's side, with the bag cradled in her hand soon moved to latch onto a clip on her belt, easier to keep her hands free that way.
[20:44]Sable Moonsong blinks as she stares at the metal lady before she looks to teh satchel. She places the long strand over her shoulder, leaving her hands free. She smiles brightly as she looks to the metal lady, proudly. She was being a good guard.
[20:44]Ash Jawantal: "As often as we need", he repeated. "You're our savior... Can you bring the same amount next week? We'll pay you the same for it, of course..."
[20:45]Sable Moonsong: "I'll be sure to have proper refreshments next time!!" she exclaims, adding in.
[20:46]Zazanther Rerenther [Kakase] nods. "That will be reasonable. I will inform my supplier of the agreement and will make sure they deliver the same amount each week for as long as you need it."
[20:47]Ash Jawantal: "Good", he said with a smile. He fished around in his pocket, then he extended his hand, a linkpearl resting on his palm. "Here", he added. "This will let you get in touch with us directly, instead of having to go through a messenger."
[20:50]Zazanther Rerenther [Kakase] reached out and grabed the linkpearl from his hand and placed it in her pocket. She'll have to find a differnt place to have it, as she didn't want it to get mixed up with her other pearls. "I hope it isn't needed outside of informing me of your need for the viles and me saying I'm on my way."
[20:56]Ash Jawantal nodded. "That's the idea, at least", he said. "In any case, it has been a pleasure doing business with you. I look forward to next week." He bowed, his eyes never leaving the Lalafell, watching her warily.
[20:57]Voyde Sharde nodded her head once more, with her armor creaking slightly from the motion. Her gaze then turns down to Kakase once more, looking to her for direction.
[20:58]Zazanther Rerenther [Kakase] nods and bows back, though also keeping an eye on Ash. With such dealings as these, one can never be too careful, though the mages would not want to harm their supplier so quickly after obtaining another one.
[20:58]Zazanther Rerenther bows courteously to you.
[20:58]Zazanther Rerenther: [Kakase] "I shall see you next week with a new batch then."
[20:59]Sable Moonsong: em beams brightly at the pair. "I'll see you next week!!!" she says, nodidng. "I'll try to bring carpet too! It'll be more comfortable tht way too!"
[21:00]Ash Jawantal laughed, turning to walk back towards the opening. "We don't have to bring carpet, silly", he said, "it's just a turn of phrase. You never know, they could have been Brass Blades..."
[21:01]Zazanther Rerenther [Kakase] nods to Voryde. "Come, we shall be off. I need to make arrangemetns for next week."
