 = Somewhat short. Very dense in muscle despite his flabby looks. Sports extravagant mutton chops and is almost never seen without a hat of some sort (especially Bowler or Top hats).
 = Represents the Sixth District of Indiana in the House of Representatives.

- "Andrew", mid-30s?, gruff gunman who seems unwilling to divulge much about himself. Rides an older American Quarter horse named Dora.
 = Often refers to Dora as "old girl" or some variant thereof.
 = Being paid by Steele to provide transportation and protection to the both of you.
 = Never seen without a ten-gallon hat and very humble clothing. Not as dirty as his clothes makes him look.
 = A bulwark of the Stater movement and dedicated to bettering California. Recently elated by the burning of Sacramento's capitol and Governor Huntington's subsequent death.

- *Mary*, unknown age, female Fulvis Zephyrecus of agreeable nature. Able to Shock with Thunder, Tackle with force. Recently learned to shoot Cotton Spores at your behest, as well as Discharge large amounts of electricity simultaneously.

 = Very near and dear to you, in a rather literal sense. She seems somewhat protective of you.
 = Seems to be developing a more excitable personality as time goes by. Very eager to battle.
 = Recently underwent an enormous change in stature and strength. Previously walked on four legs-- now stands upon two.

- *Florian*, unknown age (certainly young), male Rosanima Bulbillus with presumed ability to manipulate flora. Slightly-acidic tears, can shoot strange paralyzing powder.
 = Previously very attached to the nutberry you used to tame him. Has recently moved on, and no longer requires such trivial attachments.
 = Easily startled by most any dangerous occurrence.
 = Seems to have the ability to cure headache and poor rest through nothing more than a smell..?

- *Taylor*, unknown age (presumed young), male Vesterica Follare that spins silk obsessively. Gentle and aims to put others before himself.
 = Resting position is almost always upon your shoulders in a manner akin to a short scarf.
 = Alongside his silk string, he seems to have the power to summon sharp leaves from nowhere and use them as projectile weapons.
 = Combat: +7

- *Aster*, unknown age, male Ignubae Equuleus whom you struggled quite heavily to tame.
 = Finally mellowed out somewhat. He remains, now, as merely a surlier companion than usual.
 = Appears completely immune to fire.

- *Indiana*, unknown age, strange-looking mole with enormous Claws that seem able to Metallicize.
 = Much more fond of Steele than Steele is of him.

Andrew's:
- *Buckwheat*, unknown age, male Contremisullus Fimesens. Easygoing and placid, but deathly loyal to Andrew. Tamed without a nutberry.
 = According to Andrew, Buckwheat was found injured on the side of the road. Andrew took it upon himself to nurse the donkey back to life, and Buckwheat has followed him around ever since.
 = Always seen with several bags worth of cargo on his back. Occasionally, Steele and Buchanan can be found atop him as well.
 = Extremely muscular. Barely reacted upon carrying the weight of four full, heavy sacks of inventory and two fully-grown men.

- *Chickpea*, unknown age (presumed young), child-sized chicken-man with a small stature and an enormous temper. Has yet to sit still.
 = Able to set himself on fire, control and spew flame.
 = Used to be a third of the size, orange, and without any arms whatsoever. Apparently changed form in a huge pillar of fire...
