  2. [2013-09-30 23:33:23] <Falconis> Jay you said you wanted to talk to Cue?
  3. [2013-09-30 23:33:40] <Jay> Aye.
  4. [2013-09-30 23:34:01] <Jay> Should I start scene or...?
  5. [2013-09-30 23:34:08] <Falconis> hrm
  6. [2013-09-30 23:34:12] <Falconis> ok I'll lay it down
  7. [2013-09-30 23:35:42] <Falconis> Sometime in the week after returning from Dr. Volgs Island, you come to Cue's lab seeking the old professor. A simple wooden door with a glass panel is all that separates it from the hustle and bustle of the outside world
  8. [2013-09-30 23:36:00] <Falconis> When you enter, you begin to feel that the door is more for the sake of the world than the lab
  9. [2013-09-30 23:36:50] <Falconis> Dozens of men in labcoats bend over complicated looking machines or pages of data, discussing poketerminology that goes way over your head
  10. [2013-09-30 23:37:28] <Falconis> Interns and lab tecs hustle from place to place with reams of paper printouts, taking data from one place to another
  11. [2013-09-30 23:37:49] <Falconis> A Pink Mareep stands on a metal table, being shorn
  12. [2013-09-30 23:38:16] <Falconis> Professor Cue stands in the middle of all this, tinkering with some small device with a look of concentration on his face
  13. [2013-09-30 23:38:17] <Falconis> >_
  14. [2013-09-30 23:40:17] <Jay> Jay looks at the out of place sheep shearing and resists the urge to ask.
  15. [2013-09-30 23:40:30] <Jay> "Doc- Uh, Professor Cue, can I talk to you for a second?"
  16. [2013-09-30 23:41:50] <Falconis> The bespectacled man perks up at your words " Oh yes, please, what seems to be the problem Mr..."
  17. [2013-09-30 23:42:16] <Jay> "Just call me Jay, sir."
  18. [2013-09-30 23:42:50] <Falconis> "Very well, Mr. Jay, what can I do for you?"
  19. [2013-09-30 23:43:26] <Jay> "I was wondering if you or your team had any pokemon or eggs you were willing to part with. I'm trying to expand the team, grow the family."
  20. [2013-09-30 23:43:47] <Jay> "We were a bit less than optimal on that mission, so I'm trying to fix that."
  21. [2013-09-30 23:46:04] <Falconis> [Cue]"Eggs..." He looks off into nothing for a while, sifting through thoughts "Ah, yes. As it so happens we do have a few that we already have enough data on, if you would just step into the Incubatory"
  22. [2013-09-30 23:46:39] <Falconis> He turns and heads towards a side room seperated by a solid metal door with a glass panel in it, beckoning you to follow
  23. [2013-09-30 23:47:19] <Jay> Jay walks after him, casting one look back at the Mareep and wondering what they plan to do with all the wool.
  24. [2013-09-30 23:48:27] <Falconis> The room is warm. A bright lamp overhead throws orange rays of artifical sunlight around the room. Laid out in neat rows are low tables holding pokemon eggs in tidy nests.
  25. [2013-09-30 23:49:17] <Falconis> Some of them sit in woven grass, some in shallow pools, other submerged in boiling liquid. All in all there may be a dozen eggs in here.
  26. [2013-09-30 23:49:45] <Falconis> He leads you towards the far end of the room where 3 eggs sit alone
  27. [2013-09-30 23:49:46] <Falconis> (sec)
  28. [2013-09-30 23:52:29] <Falconis> One is a blue and cream colored egg with little red ovals surrounding the top. Another is a dull light grey with dark grey ovals sitting in neat vertical rows , the last a glossy navy blue with yellow circles poking out around the bottom.
  29. [2013-09-30 23:54:30] <Jay> (checking food sec)
  30. [2013-09-30 23:55:53] <Falconis> "These eggs here are the ones I spoke of. There is much we have gained by studying their parents in captivity, but I believe it is time to see how a line raised in the wild stands up to the data we have collected. I would need to check on the pokemon periodically" he waves his hands "Once after birth and after every evolution, perhaps a few times in between. But if you prove yourself to be...
  31. [2013-09-30 23:55:53] <Falconis> ...a good trainer then you would be allowed to keep the specimen"
  32. [2013-09-30 23:57:51] <Jay> Jay folds his arms and looks at the three eggs, then at the professor. "Sounds fair. If you don't mind me asking, Professor, how do you keep track of so much work at once?"
  33. [2013-09-30 23:58:23] <Falconis> Cue chuckles
  34. [2013-09-30 23:59:02] <Falconis> [Cue]"I suppose I have been gifted in that area, but truly, it is simply the product of a life spent in ones field"
  35. [2013-09-30 23:58:23] <Falconis> Cue chuckles
  36. [2013-09-30 23:59:02] <Falconis> [Cue]"I suppose I have been gifted in that area, but truly, it is simply the product of a life spent in ones field"
  37. [2013-10-01 00:05:40] <Falconis> "A very sturdy and reliable pokemon. Watch out for it's evolutions however, they can get" *grin* "energetic"
  38. [2013-10-01 00:05:40] <Jay> Jay balances the egg in one hand, and reaches the other out to shake. "Thanks a lot, Professor Cue. Anything I can help you with? When we're not busy on missions, I mean."
  39. [2013-10-01 00:07:35] <Falconis> The professor shakes your hand once, firmly. "Well in that regard, I have posted a list of avaliable prototypes up by the Lab doors. As with pokemon it would be useful to have some tests done out in the field and... well im afraid these old bones just can't find the time to go swinging swords around. If you see anything you like, feel free to take it"
  40. [2013-10-01 00:08:12] <Falconis> "Oh yes, I have made some adjustments to your knives as requested and have gotten some prototypes. Speak with one of my assistants for the mass production fee"
  41. [2013-10-01 00:09:25] <Jay> "Thanks, sir." Jay says, turning to look for the assistant.
  42. [2013-10-01 00:09:40] <Jay> "By the way," he says pausing, "What were the other two?"
  43. [2013-10-01 00:10:10] <Falconis> He quirks an eyebrow "Having some parental remorse Mr. Jay?"
  44. [2013-10-01 00:10:45] <Falconis> "The others are from the Cindaquill and Murcrow lines, to answer your question"
  45. [2013-10-01 00:11:40] <Jay> "No, just curiosity. Can't ever turn your back on family, after all." Jay makes for the assistant. "Thanks again."
  46. [2013-10-01 00:12:02] <Falconis> Cue nods and polishes an egg with a rag from his coat pocket
  47. [2013-10-01 00:13:03] <Falconis> /scene?
  48. [2013-10-01 00:13:47] <Jay> Unless you actually have the knife stuff/prototype info, yeah.
  49. [2013-10-01 00:14:05] <Falconis> the knife info is on the page
  50. [2013-10-01 00:14:14] <Falconis> or rather, it's almost on the page, im still editing
  51. [2013-10-01 00:14:24] <Falconis> /SCENE
