  1. 'Skinny' Dave Darnez
  2. “Ain't a smoothie in the city with even half the hez to take me on!”
  3. Bio: Born Calvin Eldridge to two elf parents, he resisted their conservative sensibilities from a young age. He got heavily into Goblin Rock, and he was 17 when the Crash of '64 came and washed away his SIN. He took the chance to run away from home and tried his best to fall in with the wrong crowd. He did oddjobs, picked up shooting and the basics of the jobs criminal hangers-on perform, attending underground concerts and races in his spare time. Seeking to make the rest of his body match the way his heart pounded when he heard goblin rock, he tried what he could – participating in death races, getting cyber muscle replacements, a brief flirtation with personafix BTLs. After finally getting the money and the connection to be made up like an ork, he gained enough confidence to try joining a gang properly. He swaggered right into a goblin bar to introduce himself as Dave – and upon finding out that Big Dave was a well-known regular, he was forever pinned with the name Skinny Dave. He lasted all of three months before he got caught by some Lone Star while holding up a convenience store, getting away only because another gang interrupted the arrest with some old-fashioned gang violence. Leaving the gang life behind, Skinny Dave Darnez invested in the best guns, gear, and chrome he could afford and turned to the shadows.
  4. Appearance: Standing a little over two meters tall, with all the chrome and cosmetic surgery Dave is actually a little broad for an elf. However, even with some relatively impressive muscle implants, it can't be disguised that his frame is more wiry than it is heavy. He has impressive tusks and a flattened nose, but his sharp cheekbones were practically beyond disguising. He wears his fiber-optic hair in an undercut, left long over the right side, usually in a bright magenta. He dresses like he gets clothes at ME MetaL then drags them across a bar room floor.

  114. ==Connections: (26)
  115.
  116. Thrashbang, Goblin Rocker (Connection 4, Loyalty 4) (8)
  117. Lead guitarist and singer of the local goblin rock band Thrashbang n da Wallops, Thrash knew Dave when he was Calvin. He is overwhelmingly supportive of Dave's desire to be an ork, thinking he has the heart of a true goblin. While the band doesn't have much fame worldwide, practically every street ork and troll in the city has at least heard of Thrashbang and his band, and Thrashbang knows just about everybody there is to know in that scene.
  118.
  119. Ratso, Mechanic (Connection 2, Loyalty 2) (4)
  120. A dwarf by metatype, Ratso is known only by his nickname for reasons obvious to anyone who sets eyes on him – he looks like a rotund rodent. He operates out of a bad neighbourhood and mainly services criminals, so his “shut up, fix the car, take your money” business model is an advantage. Ratso is casually involved in the goblin rock scene, and is friendly enough with Dave that he spares him a “How's it?” when he brings his bike in.
  121.
  122. Downboy Jones, Ork Gangboy (Connection 2, Loyalty 3) (5)
  123. From his brief time actually running with gangers, Dave made an odd friend in Downboy Jones – so called because his kamikaze addiction meant “Down boy” was the main thing his gangmates shouted at him, and “Jones” was as good a surname as any when he couldn't remember his own. Dave's support – along with the addiction becoming life-threatening – helped Downboy bring his habit into a more manageable level. A relatively shitty ganger by most accounts, Downboy is on the pulse of the average idiot thug – knows when the cowards are jumping ship and when there's more nitro hitting the streets – because he is that idiot thug.
  124.
  125. Esmelia Stormchaser, Street Cosmetologist (Connection 3, Loyalty 2) (5)
  126. Ms. Stormchaser is an “elf” - born Janet Parkinson – who will, for a few thousand NuYen, put you in a chair and then stand you up looking how you want to look. When Dave finally met her, he landed himself a discount by teaching her a little more Sperethiel, a little more about elf living, giving the word to the elves he was still in touch with that she was one of the gang. Then, she did a decent job of removing him from that gang so he could join a tougher one. She's not good for much but working her trade and talking gossip, but what gossip she knows is usually worth indulging her expensive tastes to get her to chatter.
  127.
  128. Fixer (Connection 3, Loyalty 1) (4)
  129. The street-level Mr Johnson-finder that Dave shares with [RICHARD'S CHARACTER], Dave has no particular relationship with the guy.
