  1. The following is a guide showing the fastest way I’ve found to grind for exp in Duel Links. I would say this is more consistent than auto dueling Standard Duelists, and objectively better reward wise since you can pick up SR/UR cards, as well as gems. Not suitable for dropping skills. The ideal is to beat Crowler by your second turn every time.
  2.
  3. Sample Decklist:
  4.
  5. Skill: None required, though Balance is likely best.
  6.
  7. Monsters: 13
  8. 3 Mechanicalchaser
  9. 3 Genex Ally Powercell
  10. 7 1900+ ATK DARK monsters
  11.
  12. Spells: 7
  13. 3 Back-Up Rider
  14. 3 Blustering Winds
  15. 1 Mystic Plasma Zone
  16.
  17. Total: 20
  18.
  19. Suitable 1900+ ATK monsters:
  20. Archfiend Calvalry
  21. Archfiend Soldier
  22. Mad Dog of Darkness
  23. Skilled Dark Magician
  24. Vorse Raider
  25. World Carrotweight Champion
  26.
  27. Possible monsters to use: Most of these have some effect that is either slow or potentially detrimental, so none of these are very ideal.
  28.
  29. Zombyra the Dark - It’s effect would make it inconsistent, however it should often inflict plenty of damage by itself, haven’t personally tested.
  30. Dark Elf - Fine card, seeing it activate its effect to pay 1000 is kind of slow. The duel score is often something you can neglect so not having the No Damage bonus isn’t a killer.
  31. Skull Conductor - Fine card to use, 2000 ATK can be clutch in a couple situations. The lv 10 AI is actually smart enough that if you simply summoned Conductor and ended your turn, it will enter its BP, then simply not attack and end, making Conductor useless. So only use this to end the game on its attack.
  32. Card Guard - Just a bit slow in compairison to natural 1900 attackers.
  33. Evilswarm Salamandra - Can boost its ATK, so easy potential option.
  34. Trance Archfiend - Could work fine when running many Fiend monsters to discard from the hand.
  35. Mystical Beast Cerberus - Can easily end games after playing any ATK boosting spell, although near useless otherwise.
  36.
  37. Suitable spell/trap replacements:
  38. Axe of Despair
  39. Axe of Fools
  40. Mask of Brutality
  41. Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce - Slow but will likely end the game quickly with most monsters you would equip it too, also mitigates the chance of 5000+ Damage score.
  42. Rising Energy - Traps are slow, so this is the only one listed. You always want to open a Spell.
  43.
  44. The reason Crowler is possibly the fastest lv 10 Duelist to Farm is for the card Karakuri Spider. It’s a 400 ATK monster that destroys DARK monsters when it attacks. The lv 10 AI will often suicide Karakuri Spider into your high ATK monsters, inflicting damage to itself. Abusing this fact, you can simply make a deck of DARK monsters and quickly end games. I would say he draws into Karakuri Spider around 80% of the time.
  45.
  46. Crowler also commonly uses the card Germ Infection, which he equips to non-Machine types you control to lower their ATK during the Standby Phase. Since seeing this card is just a time waste, it’s ideal to open a Machine type monster, making Mechanicalchaser and Powercell good to run. Sadly Duel Links lacks many other good low level DARK Machine types.
  47.
  48. When going first, simply summon (a Machine monster hopefully) and end. Crowler will often summon Karakuri Spider (400 ATK) and suicide, inflicting damage to himself. Next turn you can summon a 2nd monster, play a spell, and attack to win.
  49. - Note: If you open Mystic Plasma Zone, it’s likely best to play it turn 1, as it often guarantees game if he opens Spider.
  50.
  51. If Crowler doesn’t open Spider, you’ll likely need Back Up Rider or Powercell on field + any other Spell to win that turn, which feels like you’re dueling any other lv 10, and should rarely happen.
  52.
  53. Broken down mathematically by going first:
  54.
  55. Situation 1:
  56. - You summon Mechanicalchaser (1850 ATK)/Powercell (1700 ATK) and end.
  57. - Crowler summons Karakuri Spider (400 ATK) and suicides, going to 2550 LP or 2700 LP.
  58. - You summon a 2nd monster, play a spell to boost its ATK and win. This is why spells that boost by 1000 ATK are convenient, as something as weak as Powercell can still win, as well as any other monster listed above.
  59.
  60. Going second should also lead to consistent turn 2 wins, and is also why 1900 ATK monsters are so ideal. His most common turn 1 plays are playing Ancient Gear Soldier (1300 ATK) or Holograph (1100 ATK). You can win by simply attacking over one of these monsters, have your monster destroyed by Spider, then summon a 2nd monster and attack to win. Ideally you wouldn’t need to even boost a monster’s ATK, making the spells unnecessary to draw.
  61.
  62. Broken down mathematically by going second:
  63.
  64. Situation 2:
  65. - Crowler summons Ancient Gear Soldier (1300 ATK).
  66. - You summon a 1900 ATK monster to destroy it, Crowler goes to 3400 LP.
  67. - Crowler summons Karakuri Spider (400 ATK) and suicides, going to 1900 LP. He may often equip Germ Infection, which is a time loss.
  68. - You summon a monster and attack directly for the win.
  69.
  70. Situation 3:
  71. - Crowler summons Ancient Gear Soldier (1300 ATK).
  72. - You summon Mechanicalchaser (1850 ATK) to destroy it, Crowler goes to 3450 LP.
  73. - Crowler summons Karakuri Spider (400 ATK) and suicides, going to 2000 LP. So here is where a few of the monsters listed above could win the game by themself, but you’ll often need some extra effect to win the game next turn.
  74.
  75. Situation 4:
  76. - Crowler summons Holograph (1100 ATK).
  77. - You summon Mechanicalchaser (1850 ATK) to destroy it, Crowler goes to 3250 LP.
  78. - Crowler summons Karakuri Spider (400 ATK) and suicides, going to 1800 LP. This is the absolute ideal, as it only takes one attack from here, and he will never use the equip.
  79.
  80. If you were to use Powercell in this situation, you will still need to boost your ATK to win the game turn 2. So in compairison, it’s better to lead out a 1900+ ATK monster than Powercell in this spot, even though Germ Infection is likely to come out. The AI plays its own spells faster than you can as a player. This situation should apply to any other monster Crowler summons going first as well; because of its low ATK the AI will almost never summon Karakuri Spider unless you have a DARK monster on field.
  81.
  82. Now to cover rarer situations:
  83.
  84. Situation 5:
  85. - You go first and summon a 1900+ ATK monster.
  86. - Crowler summons Ancient Gear Soldier (1300 ATK) and ends.
  87. - Here, the ideal is to summon a second 1900+ ATK and use Back-Up Rider. Your first attack does 600 Damage thru Soldier, then your second attack can do 3400 exactly, making Back-Up Rider one of the few cards that work perfectly in this spot. Otherwise you need multiple effects here to win.
  88.
  89. Situation 6:
  90. - You go first, opening just one 1900+ ATK monster, and 3 ATK boosting Spells, for example 2 Blustering Winds and 1 Back-Up Rider.
  91. - With this hand, you can boost that one monster by 3500 ATK, which means if you play all those spells you can win the game with just one attack. So it’s viable to not summon at all going first, take an attack, then attack through whatever he summons for game.
  92.
  93. Going second in the above situation is much better, as you can simply play your whole hand and win. Also, personally when I draw into a 3rd attack boosting spell, I’ll often go for the 5000+ Damage bonus, as that 1800 point bonus can lead to the rarer rewards more often such as gems or higher rarity cards. This farm could consistently go for the 3000+ Damage bonus, but 500 extra points only goes so far. And as always a combination of glossies/Prismatics can help. (For instance if you have 3 Back-Up Rider from the Sylvan box, it’s likely you have some glossy Carrots, etc.)
  94.
  95. That should cover just about every facet I’ve found with this farm, really it doesn’t take that much thought/analysis, but the quickest method to grinding should hopefully save time for anyone playing this game, so thanks for reading. Speedrun Strats POGGERS
