  3. [03:22:49] It was two on one, and the moment she saw the magics that the two commanded Nakano immediately knew that this would be a difficult fight. A claw of fire, a technique she had seen another captain, Nagi use, coupled with the occultic winds signature to Danbur. She nearly gulped, bearing witness to such an overwhelming amount of occultism. A single exorcist to take them all.
  4.
  5. But luckily enough, she was the strongest exorcist in Jianghu. As the fight commenced, a clump of earth was ripped from the ground to be propelled towards Quentin like a torpedo. Mid-flight, it seemed to mold with a faint pale yellow light into a terran fist, clutching him in place. The captain swiftly closed the distance, conjuring a whip of water from the air..
  6.
  7. ..only to miss, her movement slowed by the bolts of red lightning that struck from the sky! Her armor, both mundane and magical, was an incredible defense, but it didn't stop the blows sent at her keeping her grounded. Still, having made the gap, there was no missing.
  8.
  9. Her enormous maul, a strange weapon of black nyeshk bearing the engravement of a fallen man, Orion Eckhart, dubbed Sima Kang, after a defector, was hoisted up to be clobbered against the clawman's side. Earth covered its head, forcing each blow to be practically dizzying as bones inside shook and brains slapped about.
  10.
  11. The man was immobilized, if only briefly, but it was enough. Holy magic began to billow in even greater amounts than before, forcing their way past any limits of her circuits to collect upon her arms. Her wings of gold seemed to glow with even greater lighter, ripping themselves slowly from her arms to properly sit upon her shoulders, flapping from her shoulders. The wings of a phoenix, burning brightly! Golden mana snaked down from them towards the head of her hammer, collecting with a different sort of force.
  12.
  13. Rather than the beautiful, phoenix-like features surrounding her, something crude had gathered upon her great maul. An enormous fist, crafted of pure exorcism. With one mighty blow, she slammed it through him, sending his opponent tumbling back.
  14.
  15. But that was hardly the end of it.
  16.
  17. With her great defenses, she hardly held Quentin back, the Fomorian master raising her hammer to intercept blows while trading her own. Her wings continued to flap, eventually downing the mournegale master, though the light within her seemed to be the only thing sustaining her.
  18.
  19. Jackdaw.
  20.
  21. Blood trickled down the sides of her head beneath her armor, burns and occultic scrapes covering her skin, while lightning had been striking down upon her the entire time. Her sights set upon the man, offering the same treatment, the same strategy. With a flap of those bird-like wings of near divinity, she dashed forward, slamming her hammer into him, though this opponent was far slippier.
  22.
  23. She conjured a fist of earth, thrown at him to keep him in place, yet it seemed to be all he needed to be downed. It wrapped about him tightly, and with an audible crack, the ribs inside were crushed by the titanesque fist. He was pinned entirely.
  24. (Nakano Yeong)
  25.
  26. [08:46:41] Jack could only lie there helpless. The anti-magic collar biting at his neck. He was a prisoner now and nothing he did or said would change his situation. He had wanted to become strong. Stronger enough so that those around him could respect him but instead his goals had all been for naught. He was a soldier captured only to be used as a bargaining chip to further Jianghu's control.
  27.
  28.
  29. He hoped that if things came to it he would have the courage to do what needed to be done. For now, all he could do was focus on fixing his body. Seeing as how he was cut free from his mana he doubted it was possible to ascertain how much damage had been done. His side ached and pain shot throughout his body practically crippling him at each attempt to move.
  30.
  31. As he tried to speak only whips of air and the taste of metallic blood was his only action. He felt that this was not anything he could fight his fate would be there's. He wished to take his life at least that way he wouldn't become a burden set upon by the Bulwark.
  32.
  33.
  34. He had hoped the commander was cold enough as they mocked her to do what was necessary. Leaving Jack behind and keeping their prisoners was the best choice they had. Jack no longer wished to in existence, No longer wished to live, No more, no more...no more..
  35.
  36. His only hope was that he could find a way to kill himself before such an event would happen that would lead to his trading. He sighed he had no power what's so ever physically, mentally, or even his mana or status there was nothing about him worth saving. He had hoped they made the right choice "Leave me behind" He said to himself forcing blood to gargle in the far reaches of his throat but in his mind it was clear.
  37.
  38.
  39. A single tear would fall all he could produce. Yet his mind continued. "Let me die to leave me behind I am not worth this." Jack soon let this become his mantra he no longer wanted Valmasia to be under the rule of their cruel over bearers. Jack would sacrifice himself for the cause of their freedom.

  42.
  43. [08:54:40] Jack could no longer take the agony his soul his body his mind were all tearing to pieces. The severing his magic to his broken body everything was unbearable. He figured all he could do was wait and watch barely able to see the bars the ones that cage him and the collar that binds him. All of which restrict his life.
  44.
  45.
  46. Jack could do nothing but sleep and wait. He eventually got to the point of being unable to figure out when was night and when was day. All he knew was the pain inflicted upon him. He cursed them, In Azrael's name he cursed them. Gehenna savages. Jianghu imperialist and anti Occultist. All f them were the scum and scourge the ones Azrael needed to eliminate. Jack was beyond himself with guilt and fear.
  47.
  48. Yet he cursed them and he cursed their names, Their people, their families. All of which he wanted nothing more to take with him. Even if he had to bite at their throats he wanted them to die. His only solace was in knowing that only he was captured and Rampart Quinten was safe. Yet he cursed them He cursed them every at as many days that had passed and he had resolved himself to curse them until is death day.

  53.
  54. [09:10:06] Jack continued to lie in his prison bed still unable to react or move to anything. His life now reduced to the four walls and bars that in closed him. The collar that buried itself within his skin to weaken him. Nothing else mattered to him anymore. All he longed for was to have Azrael's grasping at his heart and crushing it. He could no longer live the life of strong and respected magi. He could no longer bear witness to the revival of the dead.
  55.
  56.
  57. His trip to Agartha was a short one almost 2 years and nothing to show for it. He would be a pawn given to his people as a weapon to use against them. Jack wished he could watch in the room as Clarice laughed in their faces as they taunted them to that he was nothing but a trash recruit and they wouldn't waste their resources in getting him back. Jack wished he could laugh along with them in that moment and die with his dignity knowing his friends were safe and wouldn't have to give up their upper hand.
  58.
  59. Jack wanted nothing more than to be there when they put all they're Enemies to death and made them watch as their families burned in front of them Jack wanted nothing but to watch their deaths. He figured when he was dead he would watch from Azrael's side as the Valmasians continued to slaughter their foes. That was the only thing that gave Jack his peace amongst the troublesome situation.
