inciio:
- can manifest soul in more ways than just weapons; objects, too.
- weapon requires a cool hilt thing. inciio with some kind of tool (glassblower's, maybe??) can make more
- manifesting this shit is through conscious dreaming; the Mind Phantoms made them from insects and spiders, likely to be their bodyguards or something like that
- butterfly inciio can have their wings reflect their dreams, changing patterns as they wish. meant to make art for the phantoms
- mantis inciio were meant to fight shit, go out there and fuck up other races
- spider inciio are a bit more humanoid, and were actually made to be maids and partners to the phantoms
- beetle inciio were meant to protect the phantoms, very defensive.
- minds are still very heavily structured, infused with some divine mana. butterflies have the easiest time of being how they want, rest have a harder time and want to be able to break free. butterflies probably lead their colonies normally
- spiders and butterflies integrate into other societies easily - spiders usually because people think they're hot, butterflies because they're more freedom-based.
- mantises and beetles usually try to sort of "buddy up" with spiders/butterflies when living in places that aren't just colonies, because it's easier for them to be accepted that way.
- soul weapon stuff is very very important to them; even to non-soldiers, they'll still value it a lot, as it symbolizes their freedom from the phantoms. maybe there was a revolt against the phantoms lead by the mantises (butterflies and beetles were both pretty fine with their jobs, and spiders usually really liked it actually)
- in colonies the spiders are looked down upon because of the fact many of their kind really enjoyed living under the phantoms. some spiders go by "Araciio" instead of "Inciio" to differentiate themselves; araciio usually refers specifically to spider inciio that are trying to escape into the Depths and fuck mind phantoms again.
