Story setup (WIP)

Plot reasoning:
Why is this powerful being walking into a small town?
-Because he's being chased by another powerful being and he needs a place to hide away.
--But why choose a small town?
---Because it's easy to overlook.
---Because it's full of sinful people. (We'll get to that below...)
---Because those people, despite their sins, are lives that can be used as leverage against his more noble pursuer.

What is this being capable of?
-Superhuman physical feats.
-Standard elemental manipulation.
-Mind control.
-Weather control.
-Teleportation.
-Forcefield generation (though the forcefields themselves are not visible to the mundane townsfolk.
-Soul manipulation.
-Harmful essence.
-The ability to know the past and present sins of anyone he looks at, as well as any and all consequences of their past actions.
