  1. It's been 3 months since Kilanjo has been residing within Nostvale's walls. Changing the dye out of his hair to let his natural color flow.
  2.
  3. But it had seemed about that time for the Ookami to get back to work as his associate had sent him a list of materials to gather. Surprisingly it was short, but he still had no idea. Hopefully someone would help him along the way.
  4.
  5. If anything, he could just torture some bandits into finding out what they knew anything about it.
  6.
  7. A few days went by before Kilanjo finally reached the marshles where the yokai trees were supposed to be. But on his way there. He got madly frustrated as he wasn't the type to be ordered around or to even be sent on missions to gather some kind of material that he had no clue what the fuck it was for.
  8.
  9. But it was either go back empty handed. Or continue his journey to find the dam leaves.
  10.
  11. Hours flew by before Kilanjo finally reached deep within the dead land marshles itself. Looking around at the trees. Clueless if they were the trees that he was supposed to be looking for in the first place.
  12.
  13. " Where. . . . the fuck. . . . are these dam trees? " The now enraged Ookami spat as he walked around aimlessly. Hoping to catch a bandit in the nearby area.
  14.
  15. It seemed that all the trees in this area had looked the same. So maybe he had to find one that looked different? He wasn't quite sure
  16. (Kilanjo)
  17.
  18. Steps would sound in the distorted distance, that formed by a being that held up nought but depraved energies surrounding it like smoke from a dream. Depraved flames licked the ground and ate at the grass. Much like the other beings would in the great marshes. But, this is a mere individual that had greater energy than most. "Hmph." The beast said, and through that singular voice one could already know whom it had been.
  19.
  20. Bandaged, the beast headed forth like an arrow towards one of his old alliances. "You're looking in the wrong place, Kilanjo. You should be looking in the north east around the pools where the Yokai wander most of the time." By giving advice he had introduced himself again. But this time, it would be a different nature surrounding the abomination. Eyes, blank but with a hint of sanguine drops looking deep into the soul of the murderer as the body did not represent anything but that of a dead man. The posture, bored and chaotic.
  21. (Juhl)
  22. 'Great. . . just what I needed' The Ookami thought as he looked up to see Juhl, standing before him in flames that far exceeded normality.
  23.
  24. It was at that moment where Kilanjo frowned as he noticed something about Juhl. As if the man was different.
  25.
  26. " What's up with you Juhl? What have you been up too?" he questioned as everything about the man he once knew to be upbeat and prideful about his ways, looked so lost and ambitionless.
  27.
  28. " Baby momma took the kids away?" he suggested
  29. (Kilanjo)
  30. "Hilarious."
  31.
  32. "I've stolen one of the nobles from the forsaken village of the center of this continent. They have lived longer than they should, do you think not?" Juhl asked, before looking at the sea. The dead eyes of the beast looked at the reflection. Silence crossed the earth, not even a breeze or demonic screech. "Hijo has died and the others have since long lost their path that I had chosen for them. Death chose me to bestow upon this earth chaos and death. Shall you support me?"
  33.
  34. The offer formed from blood by a being all the more consumed by pain, seemed to be genuine. No lie was attached and the usual smarts of the prideful man, gone. There was not even a second where he tried to boast or show the world how much better he would be. The only sound was silence, and a voice from the gut that would stir trouble.
  35. (Juhl)
  36. " Funny right? " The Ookami replied towards Juhl. But it wasn't moments later that he shifted his stance to prepare himself for what Juhl had to say.
  37.
  38. First the man had spoken of stealing a noble from a forsaken village off the center of the country. Then announcing that Hijo is dead, something that Kilanjo didn't really care for as he was prepared to kill the man himself.
  39.
  40. Then there was the fact that all of Juhl's men had strayed from the path that he had created for them. Which Kilanjo did know little about since he been vauge about how he was supposed to see out his big plan.
  41.
  42. It was only after that Juhl had mentioned death and if the Ookami would support him.
  43.
  44. Which Kilanjo didn't take to long to think about.
  45.
  46. " Sure, but under one condition. I get to do most of the killing, and you have to help me get 3 yokai leaves. Now. " he said with a smirk.
  47.
  48. The Ookami didn't mind to much about the killing but just as long as he was apart of the fun, it would be worth it and it would also kill time. Other than that, he needed the leaves now.
  49. (Kilanjo)
  50. "No need."
  51.
  52. Juhl then opened a book that had his notes in it. "Yokai leaves, seen around the citadel lose their potential when taken from the tree. One should be a nature magi or a potent alchemist to keep them stable." The beast would then close the book. "Essentially they would be useless to you unless a nature magi supports you. Also, they are incredibly rare to find. Not as rare as some of the materials I've found, surely. But they are incredibly potent and dangerous at some turns."
  53.
  54. "In short my advice is that you do not search for it until you have found a nature magi. Contact me afterwards and then we shall go on a search for these leaves. Does that satisfy you? We could search for hours, days even. But there's no point if you cannot even keep them intact."
  55. (Juhl)
  56. Kilanjo just frowned as he recieved the hard news from Juhl. But it didn't matter.
  57.
  58. " That just gave me an idea. . . . . Just help me find one. I don't need a few moments. Just a seconds. " he responded towards Juhl
  59.
  60. The Ookami would then cross his arms in irritation as he wanted to start looking for these leaves before it took any longer.
  61.
  62. " So are you going to help me or not? " he questioned
  63.
  64. As long as Juhl helped him find the leaves, he would do the man a solid. Whatever he wanted no matter how cruel before doing his own by the man's side
  65. (Kilanjo)
  66. "It is unrealistic. I must take my leave, be patient."
  67.
  68. Through those words he'd turn his back and step from the scene. "If you cannot be patient then you cannot support death. You can do all the killing, surely. I do not care for that." Juhl stated before he completely disappeared into the distorted, distant air. The sanguine scent that rolled in disappeared, too. It seemed all the more like the beast didn't hold the ambition to support the world anymore. To improve upon it.
  69.
  70. No, he had become a beast. Quite literally.
  71. (Juhl)
  72. Kilanjo got upset with Juhl. Due to his expression of not even caring for a material that he really needed.
  73.
  74. Just up and trying to disappear like that. It was actually a bit upsetting. But Kilanjo let him free. Not caring for whatever Juhl had to do. But he was going to get those dam leaves
  75. (Kilanjo)
  76. With a frown across his lips. Kilanjo cleared it towards the Yokai Citadel where Juhl had said that there were leaves of the Yokai tree. But so far. All that he was seeing was just a cluster fuck of the trees that he had seen in the marshles.
  77.
  78. Also the same set of trees that provided the Iron bark or whatever Xanthe needed.
  79. (Kilanjo)
  80. Hours went on, but there was still no luck as Kilanjo couldn't seem to find the strange sight of a differed tree that could possible fit the same thing that Juhl had said.
  81.
  82. The Ookami had event taken it upon himself to grab a leaf off each tree to see if any of the leeves that he had held. Died off with the minutes to come. But none so far as yet had withered away in his hand.
  83.
  84. Which either meant that Juhl had no clue as to what he was talking about. Or that the source tree was harder to find than he had originally thought. . . .
  85. (Kilanjo)
  86. Soon, dusk would break. Which meaned that Kilanjo needed to get some rest before continuing his search. Being this close to the Yokai Citadel was far to risky than he had previvously imagined.
  87.
  88. With depravity flowing heavily throughout this area. It had given the Ookami a conforting feeling. That was until it had seemed to bring also a black lust of misforturne waiting to happen.
  89.
  90. It wasn't that Kilanjo was afraid of what was about to happen. It was only that if he was ambushed while he was sleeping. That was what worried him.
  91.
  92. So thinking of a situation for once in his life, the Ookami scaled a far away tree that was different than the others and decided to rest in it for the time being. Hoping that no creatures of the occult would come hunting for him. . . .
  93.
  94. (Kilanjo)
  95. After awaking from his sleep, Kilanjo frowned as he knew that it was going to ba another day of searching the grounds around the citadel for the yokai leaves. The only thing was. How to find that rare ass tree.
  96.
  97. With a sigh. Kilanjo sat up from the branch that he was on to notice a leaf laying on his lap that was dead. But the Ookami wasn't thinking at the time. Swatting away at the leaf and causing it to drop to the ground.
  98.
  99. Grunting in agony from his rude awakening. Kilanjo threw himself off the tree to find himself some yokai leaves.
  100.
  101. But all he got after hours of searching was crimson reed, and soothing reed. A weird combo but hey!
  102.
  103.
  104. (Kilanjo)
  105. Tired already. Kilanjo gave up on his hunt. Starting to wonder why he came out of here for unknown reasons. It was around dawn so he wanted to head back in a month or two and take his time. It was a far walk and he had time.
  106.
  107. With a loud sigh, the Ookami went up to the unnatural tree that he had slept in the night before and punched it for giving him such a bad back ache. Which caused a few leaves to fall as he cracked the midsection of it a bit.
  108.
  109. Frowning. He looked upon the leaves as they soon had begun to change its color in an unnatural way.
  110.
  111. Then after a few minutes to an hour. The leaf basically wilted up and died.
  112.
  113. Which made Kilanjo's hopes sky rocket.
  114.
  115. Smiling wickedly. He withdrew his scythe from he back and swiped at the tree's base. Picking out the dirt as he soon placed his weapon of choice back on his back.
  116.
  117. It wouldn't be a second later as Kilanjo crouched down and wrapped both arms around the tree. Getting ready for himself to yank it out of the ground. But before he had done such a action. He remembered that there needed to be something to substain the Yokai tree.
  118.
  119. So Kilanjo, using wind magic. Plucked the tree out of the weakend ground that he had already made. Now having it float about the ground with a huge patch of dirt and grass surrounding the roots and making it unable to show so it wouldn't die as fast.
  120.
  121. Now all Kilanjo had to do was find a pot to place this bad boy in and then give the leaves to Charlie.
  122.
  123. Which also settled another plan.
  124.
  125. Picking himself out of the air. Kilanjo carried himself and the plant over the water. Occasionally dipping the base of the tree into the ocean so it could rehydrate itself after the hours went by.
  126. (Kilanjo)
  127. Now landing back at home, Kilanjo had just decided to dig up a hole in the back of his yard and plant the tree there itself. it wasn't very hard and it took little time to do so.
  128.
  129. Now all he had to do was wait for Charlie to come get him
  130. (Kilanjo)
