  5. -love the character's immature and mocking animations. This extends even to the character's mechanics. Several of his moves forgo a direct assault and do no damage or no knockbacj (F/BThrow and UAir) or have a delayed effect (UTilt)- each has a reasonable function for its placement so he's never absent a crucial tool, but use of these inputs often leads to a different, actually quite powerful attack in a manner that gives the impression of a greatly powerful being toying with his opposition, befitting the set's mission statement.

  7. -That said, Fthrow and BThrow could use a little something, as functional as they are; even just a small poke of damage or such as he taps them on the shoulder (with a small jolt of magic)? I do like the inherent mindgame to them.

  9. -I adore Side Special. The options of letting it continue as a projectile, be picked up as a weapon, or simply letting it hang there in the meantime to use it for combo extension/stage control is pretty brilliant- balanced in combination with the control scheme essentially locking you out of Specials and shield until you use the projectile function or dismiss them. I'm sorely tempted to draw on this for a set I'm remaking.

  14. -Enjoying the void and symbiote interactions, especially appreciating Down Special's where the hitbox can "snap" to the symbiote's location.

  16. -while a few void buffs are more extra spice and damage, the majority add some interesting wrinkles to the affected inputs that fall in line with the move's purpose such it won't overly complicate use cases; softer interactions like Dash Attack specifically helping to get back to a patch of void are present as well; my favorite is Down Throw powering up the hyper aggressive symbiotes it spawns and up throw creating a lingering theat below the flung opponent. The more general number increases are still alluring and prevalent enough to make it worth interacting with, though I do wish he had an input or two more that would be buffed by it but not use it up so he'd have a little more leeway in spending it.

  18. -this set hits a lot of my favorite notes; minions, stage effects, hard interactions, etc, but doesn't feel like it'd be hard to track in gameplay.
