  1. [14:51] Balam does a few laps around the area with Eztli hoping to get the boy into better physical shape. Of course this was just a warm up for now. He'd know his brother wouldn't have too much trouble keeping up with him since he wasn't boosting his speed with magic.
  2.
  3. After a little while of doing physical training, Balam would instruct the young magi on how to better perfect his skill with magic. Teaching him the basics of mana or re introducing it to him through simple examples. "You've already come a long way in just a few months Eztli. I have no doubt you'll continue to improve if you continue on this track. But now lets get into your combat training. And afterwards we can start with your spirit studies."
  4.
  5. Balam claimed, Perhaps this was training for himself as well since he was interested in eventually becoming a tutor or instructor. Unfortunately for Eztli he'd be the testing pool for what he would decide to teach. Although many of the tribes secrets would continue to remain secrets.
  6.
  7. Shifting his feet in the dirt the Ookami began to allow his mana to burst forwards, A surge of Magenta Lightning discharged around the man's body a display of how far Balam had come although he knew there were further heights he could reach yet. "Now then lets see what you can do Eztli. Remember to keep on your toes, and to be aggressive. What makes mother's magic is so strong is how forceful she is with her attacks." He claimed remember the time he made the mistake of sparing with his mother....Something he'd have to do again in the future had he wanted to earn her full approval.
  8.
  9. "But no matter what keep your guard up and remember we're Ookami. We fight with the wind at our backs and the fierceness in our claws. Let your senses and your instincts guide you as much as possible. These blessings are what make us better than humans." Perhaps much more pride was shown in thebeastkin who lived within Moxtli being known for their wild nature they showed on the battlefield.
  10. (Balam Aba)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [14:54] Eztli would hurriedly change into his warrior pants before skipping after his older brother into the forest proper. And apart from doing a few laps around the area, it doesn't particularly take too long before the duo happen across an all too familiar clearing.
  14.
  15. Since their last bout, he'd improved a tad. Not immensely mind you, but just enough to ensure he wouldn't be tossed around like a rag doll.
  16.
  17. "Yup-yup! I won't rest until I can go at-least toe-to-toe against you!" He beams, stretching again.
  18.
  19. With a deep breath, he'd keep both feet apart and softly call forth his mana - the ethereal glow taking on a red tint as it became empowered by his blood.
  20.
  21. 'Be aggressive'.
  22.
  23. "Right,"
  24.
  25. Be it through nerves or in-experience, he doesn't stay on his opponent as aggressively as he probably should. It was good advice to be sure.
  26.
  27. "Humans are pish-posh fancy pants!"
  28. (Eztli Meztin)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [14:59] {Won Restrained RPB against Eztli Meztin}
  32. [14:59] Eztli Meztin says, "Ow, ow."
  33. [15:10] Balam moved slower than before hoping to help his brother build up the confidence he needed to attack. The tendril's of Blood and water were easily evaded or burned away with the Liquid like Lightning. However he allowed for a few of the blows to land across his body.
  34.
  35. Shooting towards them a barrage of plasma blades he'd start to gather Lightning into his claws once again. Knocking his brother off his feet with a powerful palm thrust to his abdomen. "Had I actually used my claws there'd be a hole in your chest right now." He claimed as his tail flowed behind him.
  36.
  37. "Although you reacted pretty good to my attack's you were always ready to counter and that shows a lot of initiative already. Just remember the fights we have are so you can learn to protect yourself. There are no end to the number of people, Monsters, or pure evil that will aim to destroy you if you let them. Once you step into battle you're always fighting for your life." The Ookami gestured to his own body showing a few scars he'd received from battles in the past.
  38.
  39. "Each scar is a reminder of a mistake I've made. And the embodiment of my failure as a warrior. Yet it is also my pride. It shows me that I have endured and survived to fight another day." He was confident that Eztli would grow up and become a better fighter but at this point in time he'd rather ingrain in him what it means to be a warrior rather than simple techniques.
  40.
  41. "Do you understand?" He rolled his shoulder a little before preparing to attack again. The silver eyes locked onto his brother, A unique trait that only Balam seemed to have within the family.
  42.
  43. (Balam Aba)
  44. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  45.
  46. [15:18] The young Ookami would chase after their elder brother, barely evading any attacks thrown against him and following them up with strikes of his own. There weren't any new spells casts bar blobs of blood thrown from his palm and exploding out like bombs, but the power of his regular attacks had certainly grown.
  47.
  48. Though it just wasn't enough.
  49.
  50. While it seemed that Eztli had indeed improved since their last fight; there was still a very clear divide between them in terms of strength. And even that was taking into account that his brother was holding back some-what.
  51.
  52. Before he knew it, he was once more knocked onto his rump. Chest sore from the impact of their hand.
  53.
  54. He winces.
  55.
  56. "I know, I know, I'm trying," He pouts, standing up and dusting himself off.
  57.
  58. "Gotta work on my speed and reflexes. And learn a few new spells while I'm at it,"
  59.
  60. The words of his brother are paid attention to, and he nods inunderstanding. Eztli didn't have as many scars in comparison, and the ones he did have were from the few times he tripped up or was gnawed on by wild animals.
  61.
  62. "I understand... I'll keep trying!"
  63. (Eztli Meztin)
  64. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  65.
  66. [15:19] Balam Aba asks, "Good! Do you wanna fight again? Or perhaps move on to spirit studies?"
  67. [15:20] Eztli Meztin exclaims, "Let's fight again, then do Spirit stuff!"
  68. [15:20] Balam Aba says, "Alright"
  69. [15:29] {Won Restrained RPB against Eztli Meztin}
  70. [15:42] The battle was a bit more intense than the prior ones. Balam restraining more of his power yet using enough to make himself still be threatening. Lightning strikes vibrated within the air as Balam unleashed his attacks although far slower than if he'd been fighting seriously.
  71.
  72. "Yes just like that make sure you use each of your attacks in succession!" Of course there were things Balam couldn't teach him but it seemed that for the most part Eztli understood the gist of keeping away from his foe, He just needed to be able to continue his offensive bursts.
  73.
  74. Although Balam allowed some of the attacks to cut through his defense building Eztli's confidence until the final bout between them was about to begin. "Alright Eztli it seems you're starting to get a bit more comfortable with my movements...Now let me show you a specialty of mine I've been working on..." His words were full of energy. Just like the Magenta lightning around him that nearly doubled as the man released a bit more of his power.
  75.
  76. Gathering the power of the spirits and the elements within his body he allowed them to flow deep within him. Unlike his mother he'd been unable to use true spirit dancing. While he could mimic the movements it was uncertain if Balam would ever live up to the true Spirit dance his mother obtained. Yet Balam created his own method of battle that utilized the power of the spirits even further.
  77.
  78. Static began to build up around him creating a thick haze of electrically charged mana. The magi's body shifting in the dirt as he called upon the spirits of the Lightning and Wind Elemental Spirits to give increase his spell's power.
  79.
  80. The tattoo's on his body began to glow as he shaped the plasma magic into the shape of a Giant wolf, that ran towards Eztli at great speeds."Now Eztli prepare yourself! This is a battle between two warriors! And that means it is a battle of life and death...So...Are you prepared to die?" He'd claim as the glare in Balam's eyes suddenly seemed to grow darker almost a sharp killing intention was directed towards Eztli as the wolf moved faster and faster towards his younger sibling. Lightning strikes flourished all around him trapping him from escaping the Plasma wolf's fangs.
  81.
  82. Right when the fangs of the wolf would begin to sing their teeth into the boy's body Balam would close his hands Releasing the spell back into a wave of pure mana. Enough to blow the younger teen back and onto his butt yet again.
  83.
  84. From what happened it seemed Balam's goal was simply to test how much courage and resolve his brother had. With a toothy grin he'd go towards his brother no longer exhibiting the same killing intent as before.
  85. (Balam Aba)
  86. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  87.
  88. [15:56] Eztli relied heavily on his instincts, much like a wolf hunting their prey. It allowed him to quickly assess and adapt to any situation and act accordingly. And such instinct had never been more obvious then in this battle between two siblings.
  89.
  90. Unlike their last bout which had been completely one-sided. This second time around seemed much more balanced, even if his brother was still holding back.
  91.
  92. "Gah! I'll beat you!"
  93.
  94. He roars, charging after them and lashing at their body with concentrated whips of water and the like. He'd managed to get a few good hits in against them, though nothing so strong as to topple them over and give him the winning edge.
  95.
  96. It didn't help that Lightning-Magic was a natural counter to his own - which meant that he could not use it for defensive purposes. "What're you planning-..."
  97.
  98. He stops mid charge then, eyeing his brother curiously as they moved somewhat akin to a dance. They were channeling Elemental spirits together, and before he knew it - plasma magic would come together in the shape of a wolf.
  99.
  100. 'Are you prepared to die?' His brother asked.
  101.
  102. "Wha-..."
  103.
  104. The Wolf came charging at him soon after, fangs and claws bared and ready to end his life it seemed. He would've turned to jump out of the way had it not been for a cage of lightning keeping him at bay.
  105.
  106. "Argh! You're really gonna kill me!?"
  107.
  108. He didn't want to cower, the words of his mother ringing true in his ear. Such a shameful display was unbefitting a warrior, but despite his best efforts to stare death in the face. He-... just couldn't do it.
  109.
  110. His arms shield his face while he sucks in a breath, awaiting a death-...
  111.
  112. That never came.
  113.
  114. Instead he was simply knocked down onto his rump yet again, put in his place. "Balam. That was mean! You're a big fat, poo head!" He sneers childishly. "I really thought you were going to kill me!"
  115. (Eztli Meztin)
  116. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  117.
  118. [16:04] Balam walked over towards his kid brother and give him a small punch on his head. Planting his fist into the boys head, Enough force only to give him a bit of pain. As he chuckled. "That's what it means to be a warrior, You have to face death time and time again. Of course don't worry yourself too much you're still young after all."
  119.
  120. Balam said as he opened his palm to ruffle his brother's hair and scratch between his ears lovingly. "Still I'd rather you get used to the sensation so you don't panic like you just did there. Its in those moment's where there's no hope that magic gets stronger. So keep pushing yourself and I'll keep pushing you to become a better warrior." He said with a toothy grin.
  121.
  122. The silver hair on Balam's face would shift as he turned his tail from side to side. "The Empire of the Cogs won't stop attacking everyone in Esshar. They're our greatest threat to Moxtli being at peace. Osrona...well for now they're tolerable. But Keep in mind those cogs are always on the look out for blood. Especially given who our parent's are." He'd remind him, He wasn't sure if he was up to date with the history of the past but it was clear the siblings would be targeted for their linage just as he was once before.
  123.
  124. He'd swoop down to his level now, Bending his knees so he was at eye sight with his brother. "I'd never hurt you on purpose Eztli I hope you know that. Of course if we're training I can't take it easy on you. So I'm fine with being a big fat poo head if it means you'll get stronger!" The technique he used before was still incomplete and there were already signs of Balam being fatigued from it yet he tried his best to hide it from his brother so he wouldn't notice.
  125.
  126.
  127. (Balam Aba)
  128. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  129.
  130. [16:15] "Ack!" He cries out as the fists collided with his head, it didn't hurt anymore then his previous attacks did, but pain was pain. "I know-... I want to be like you and Mom, I do. I just don't know how you do it..."
  131.
  132. His eyes watered a little, his heart still hammering loudly as the fear of death had been instilled into him. It was not a pleasant feeling at all - and yet, it was one that he would need to conquer if he were to ever become a true warrior for of the Moxtli people.
  133.
  134. "I'll try to over-come. I won't give up, promise!" He replies, rubbing at his eyes with the back of his sleeve.
  135.
  136. A smile plays across his face then as the rough hand instead ruffles his hair and scratches behind his ears. "Well, I hope you're careful to. You're almost an adult so I imagine they won't go easy on you. Promise me you won't get captured, yeah?"
  137.
  138. He holds out a pinky for a cliché pinky-promise.
  139.
  140. "I know you wouldn't. Guess it was just... reflex. Thank you, Balam,"
  141.
  142. Despite the coldness of their mother, the two brothers were as close as could be, and that was enough for Eztli.
  143. (Eztli Meztin)
  144. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  145.
  146. [16:25] It was a hard thing to promise given the state of Esshar now. More and more it would lead them on a collision course towards Barsburg yet as far as Moxtli was concerned? They weren't necessary the survival of the tribes and its people were. He'd shake his head at Eztli's words before flashing him a smile. "I don't want you to be like mother, Myself or even like Father. I want you to be like you Eztli. You'll carve out your own path, In a way that's unique to you." He said sitting next to his brother.
  147.
  148. "As of right now I don't have any desire to fight them unless they attack me. However I'll be sure to save my tail from them as best I can. And protect you as best I can as well." It was true after all Balam wasn't getting any younger, And now he'd come into his own as a Magi and a warrior of the tribes.
  149.
  150. The next hurdle however would be the hardest to climb. To improve his own abilities to become the Head Shaman. Something he'd been working towards since he was Eztli's age. With the trial of the Final Spirit soon to come he'd have to continue his training and further attune himself to the spirit realm. "I still have lots of things I need to focus on myself. I'm still not fully able to see spiritual bodies although I can perceive them somewhat and interact with them through dance... I have plenty of short comings as well You know! But I don't mind helping you to improve in the meant time."
  151.
  152. He shared with his brother to show some humility, There were always gaps between children and parents and even though their parent's were distant the siblings grew closer to each other each day.
  153. (Balam Aba)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [16:31] Eztli frowns at that.
  157.
  158. If Balam couldn't promise to stay alive, then Eztli would just need to make sure that he was strong enough to protect them, should the need arrive. And that meant constant training until he was at or above their level.
  159.
  160. It wasn't a pipe dream either. It just required hard-work and dedication, two things he was willing to put in.
  161.
  162. "Well, that's good enough for me. From what I've been told, they seem to have every other faction by the throat," And while Osrona had the numbers, they didn't have the power to back it up. And the Fireblooded and Moxtli just-... lacked people in general.
  163.
  164. That would need to change. Either soon or eventually.
  165.
  166. "Perhaps we can help each-other with Spiritual training! Though I imagine you'll be helping me more then I'm helping you,"
  167.
  168. After-all, his knowledge was just above average at best.
  169.
  170. "Whenever you want to start! Unless you want to see what else is going on?"
  171.
  172. He was down for anything really.
  173. (Eztli Meztin)
  174. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  175.
  176. [16:38] "Yeah I think we'll be able to help each other learn. Its going to take a lot of practice but I'm sure we'll get the hang of it!" He said in a confident tone before thinking a bit back in the past, He'd had to learn everything about the spirits on his own and even his knowledge was still at best basic.
  177.
  178. Yet it just went to prove how much information was contained with the spirit realm it was forever vast and changing after all. "We'll lets begin with something simple the Great Four Spirits. You do remember about them don't you?" Balam reached into his coat pulling out a toad totem. The very same one Eiji had gifted him in order to begin his own spiritual journey...and now it was time Balam had passed it on to his younger brother so he may do the same.
  179.
  180. "This is totem of Tallil one of the Great Four mother and father helped to awaken. often known for their ability to help other's attune to the spirit realm and learn the knowledge of the spirits. I spent many years holding onto this and using it for my meditation and ritual's. And now I'd like to give it to you Eztli' so you may do the same." He claimed before handing the totem to his younger brother with a smile.
  181.
  182. After the Totem was handed over he'd shift his weight back towards the village. "I have a few ideas on how to help us attune better to the spirit realm. But first things first we'll need a quiet place. so lets head to my ritual chamber."
  183. (Balam Aba)
  184. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  185.
  186. [16:39] {Item} You drop Frog Statue Idol.
  187. [16:48] "Perfect!" He replies, smiling bright.
  188.
  189. "Of course I know. Xotonal, Eznite, Tlalli and uhm… Ixtlitli," He confirms, the last name always the one to trip him up.
  190.
  191. Eznite - the Bear, was the one particular Patron spirit to which Eztli felt the strongest connection to. They even shared similar names.
  192.
  193. Perhaps one day he'd be able to form a connection with the Spirit. It certainly wasn't out of the realm of possibility.
  194.
  195. "For me? Really? Woah. Thank you! You're the best!"
  196.
  197. The Totem is taken between his hands, coloured-hues looking it over with curiosity. It was a beautifully crafted thing, perhaps latent with spiritual power. It certainly felt special.
  198.
  199. The real question was how he would use it to better attune himself spiritual. Meditations was a start, at-least.
  200.
  201. "Alright, lead on brother!"
  202. (Eztli Meztin)
  203. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  204.
  205. [17:13] Balam smiled as he began to walk back towards the village his brother in tow, Nodding his head seeing as his brother had indeed been paying attention, He'd then bring his hand towards his left shoulder to show the tattoo of Xotonal the Vulture and the spirit Balam had chosen as his patron spirit. "Indeed you've been listening quite well i'm glad to hear that. When you finally turn 16 you'll be able to choose a patron spirit to get a tattoo of one you feel the most connect to. So for now just keep yourself open to the words of the spirits and you'll find your way."
  206.
  207. Balam lead them into the caves the Moxtli Tribes often used for specialized ritual's or other purposes. Mainly to store sacrifices before their ritual day. It was clear from the environment Balam had been using the area for his studies in both the spirits and Alchemy.
  208.
  209. The Cavern wall's were perfect for such things as they provided quiet compared to the sounds that always echoed throughout the forest. "Lets begin then shall we? I'll help you get the gist of Spiritual meditation the totem will help you to center yourself and connect better Tlalli so you may find his wisdom."
  210.
  211. Balam moved about the area collecting various objects before rejoining Eztli in the center of the room where he sat on the stone tiles. Adjusting his posture for meditation and aligning his breathing as an example for his brother to follow. "Make sure you focus on your breath and let yourself relax so you can get in the proper headspace." He claimed while placing an empty brazier in front of them pulling out a sack of alchemy ingredients.
  212.
  213. "Sinka A plant that is the result of a bloody battle between two warriors, Fairy powder for connection to the ethereal, Amber for a solid connection to your body and spirit to keep them Anchored to each other regardless of how far you venture out, And soothe reed and crimson soothe reed to allow the mind and body to transcend to higher planes." He claimed as one by one he dropped the raw ingredients into the brazier.
  214.
  215. Using a spark of lightning form his palm he'd spark a small flame that burned the dry plants allowing for their aroma's to mix like a burning incent. He'd take the Amber and crushing it in-between his palms into a powder blowing it from his hands into the brazier doing the same to the fae powder.
  216.
  217. Using his wind magic he'd make sure the fumes would stay contained within the area they were in. The Ookami naturally had a powerful sense of smell but this connection was something that seemed to open's ones mind and spirit as the ritual continued Balam would bring forth a ritualistic Orichalcum dagger He'd used to cut his palm and allow for the mana infused blood to pool into the brazier to complete the ritual.
  218.
  219. Wiping the blade he'd hand it over to his brother who he assumed would follow his lead. "Now open your mind, And aim to find the center of your spirit. Deep within yourself. Search for as long as you need to. Use Tlalli's totem to guide you in the right direction And once you do let yourself become open to the presence of spirits around you by following the essence within them.." He claimed allowing his brother to embark on the rest of the spiritual journey on his own.
  220. (Balam Aba)
  221. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  222. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  223.
  224. [17:30] "Yeah! I might not look like it sometimes, but I do listen!" As impatient and childish as he often portrayed himself, one could not call him ignorant. At-least not willfully.
  225.
  226. Eztli would follow on quite happily then behind his older brother as they made their way through the forests and towards the caves. Inside they went, venturing to one particular room that held ritualistic value.
  227.
  228. "Ooooh. Nice place,"
  229.
  230. From the way it had been kept, it was obvious that Balam came here quite frequently to study. It seemed to serve its purpose quite well, at-least.
  231.
  232. He follows his brothers example, sitting down upon the stone tiles and folding his legs. The Totem of Tlalli rests neatly upon his laps, his own to hands holding onto it and keeping it stead.
  233.
  234. 'Focus on your breathing and relax'.
  235.
  236. At their words, he does just that. Inhaling deeply through his nostrils, holding it for a few seconds, and then exhaling sharply through his mouth. The process is repeated for a few moments, enough to bring his thoughts upon the present and this exact moment in time.
  237.
  238. With a mind as clear as glass, he takes the blade and cuts his palm, allowing the blood to run into the brazier - aided by his command of blood magic.
  239.
  240. The blade is set down then, and he closes his eyes. Breathing in the fumes as attempted to find a connection between himself and the spirits.
  241.
  242. Deep breaths. One large in-hale, one large exhale.
  243.
  244. Clear his mind of distractions and focus inwardly. To his breaths, to the beating of his heart - to the thrum of the magic that made up his circuits. He clutches tighter onto the Totem, allowing the spiritual connection to guide him.
  245.
  246. "I think I feel something..."
  247.
  248. Soon enough, he no longer felt like himself. Not physically at-least. He felt ethereal... transcendent. It was a feeling he couldn't well put into words. Just that-... he was a force within himself, his veryspirit. And his body was just a puppet being guided along.
  249.
  250. He could hear whispers, both near and far. All around him - and it seemed, if only for a moment, he was on the realm of spirits.
  251.
  252. "I can hear them... their voices... at-least, I think it's their voices.."
  253. (Eztli Meztin)
  254. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  255.
  256. [17:48] Eztli's words would be listened to as it seemed the boy had begun the first step in manifesting his spirit and attuning to the realm's beyond. "Now focus on your desire. Focus on the desires of the spirits that will lead you towards. Tlalli. Their wisdom is free to those who seek it but you must first find them within their realm, Venture deep into the Swamp lands of the spirit realm. The more you chase after it the more you'll learn of the true nature of Spirits." He claimed as he watched over his brother.
  257.
  258. Now that he felt Eztli had been getting the hang of things he would begin to focus on his own meditation. He'd been able to hear spirits but he'd not adjusted his full range of senses to see them. And that's where the Talisman would come into play.
  259.
  260. Through peering through one could see the realm of the spirits both hidden and unseen with a clear gaze. The Ookami adjusted his eyes towards the talisman focusing his mana in his eyes as he watched Eztli making sure his connection to his body was intact.
  261.
  262. He'd then peer around his self Focusing upon the other spirits, That dwelled within the area. The white flame stone of the talisman seemed to push his senses beyond what they were capable of prior. He'd remember his mothers words.
  263.
  264. His goal was to perceive the spirits without the use of this trinket. Although it was easier said than done. The True nature form of spirits were often unfathomable to the naked eye although most spirits of great power could barely hide themselves.
  265.
  266. Balam continued to study a multitude of ways he could recreate the sight the Talisman gave him. Trying to match his mana to the signature it was giving off. He'd attune his body and spirit to it. Having already carried it on him for little over a year he was already familiar with the intricacies of it.
  267.
  268. And the ritual they casted prior only aimed to further his connection to the ethereal energy that flowed through it. He'd pull that power into his own being...And then into his eyes. There was a bright flash of white light that seemed to almost blind for a few minutes he could see nothing but darkness...Until he saw small specks like dust floating about.
  269.
  270. His eyes slowly adjusting allowing the essence of spirits to be catalogued within his mind. As hours passed Balam had been learning how to recreate the 'White Flame' of spirit mana just as was saw within the crystal. However he focused it within his eyes while he muttered a prayer to the wolf spirit.
  271.
  272. "Asena grant me dominion over my sight. So I may perceive both the physical and the ethereal branches of our world. Through your will I invoke the spectral essence of my spirit..." He chanted as he allowed the smoke to once again swell within his nostrils.
  273.

  276. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  277. 18:05] The extent of Eztli's training with all things spiritual had been narrowed down to reading texts and listening to his mother and father. Every so often he would sit down to meditate, but nothing to the extent of what he was doing now. Those few other times were to simply calm him down and bring him to the present - this time, it was to bring himself spiritual onto the same plane of spirits.
  278.
  279. To hear them In place of seeing them.
  280.
  281. And in that moment, he could hear them in full. Their words... or voices... or whatever he was hearing, echoed all around him. And some whispers were so close that they sent shivers running up his spine.
  282.
  283. Though nothing he heard was spoken in the common tongue. Or any known tongue. And if that was because they spoke some mysterious language or that he just wasn't attuned to them fully, he couldn't say.
  284.
  285. 'Focus on your desire....'
  286.
  287. And what were his desires?
  288.
  289. Well - he wanted to learn moreabout the Spirits. He wanted to help the Spirits. Wanted to devote his life to them. And he wanted to help the world, both his own and theirs.
  290.
  291. With his connection with the Totem shared, he'd broadcast those feelings. Allowing whatever curious spirits that lingered to feel them and be drawn in by them. The good, and the bad. But hopefully just the good.
  292.
  293. "Do you hear me...?" He voices to himself, or to the Spirits.
  294.
  295. The blood still dripping from his open wound would begin to thrum. Tiny droplets taking to the air as the Spirits fed upon his essence. In return for his life essence, they would share with him their knowledge.
  296.
  297. Images flash through his mind then. Forms of air. Water. Earth. Any elemental form taken by the Spirit. They were sharing their very nature with him, opening his minds eye to their presence. Although he could not see them, he could feel them close - stronger then before.
  298.
  299. They were everywhere.
  300.
  301. His Spirit had connected to the Ethereal.
  302. (Eztli Meztin)
  303. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  304.
  305. [18:17] There was a moment of clarity that lingered within the Ookami's mind although it was brief. He felt his eyes begin to burn the stinging only continued as he felt the essences continue to collect within his field of vision only for a moment was he able to truly connect the dots. Using his Ookami blessing's to further attune himself to the Lifestreams flow.
  306.
  307. White flames surged around his eyes as he opened them, The Silver hues now fully capable of witnessing the spirits that lingered within, In even more vivid detail than the talisman gave him prior. The Ethereal flames continued to burn but Balam knew that his connection was still thin.
  308.
  309. Seeing the very flow through Asena's Eyes...the Divine Spirits own essence dwelled within his Blessings. He had just now figured out how to channel them through his ritual's. As he held his eyes open he would continue to use Asena's gaze for not more than a few more moments before the flames were extinguished and his sight returned to normal.
  310.
  311. However through this method he'd learn how to summon forth the spirit veins of his mana circuits. Taking breaks in between he'd try to extend the time he was capable of using this ability. Although as it came up to him only being able to see spirits true nature for only 2 minutes tops. Exhausted the Ookami nearly passed out from over exertion.
  312.
  313. The power was truly something to be marveled and he would ponder ways he could incorporate this into his spirit dancing style to further developed his combat skills...Had he been able to see the flow of Essence he would also be soon able to control its flow as well.
  314.
  315. "I took one step in the right direction....Now I just have to continue to pursue this..." After regaining his strength he stood up. Leaving his brother to continue his mediation as he began to dance. Practicing his steps. Allowing his body to follow the rhythm of the spirits voices.
  316.
  317. While collecting the scattered essence they naturally produced. White flames once again being produced over his eyes as lenses to help him see the spiritual veins within the physical realm.
  318.
  319. (Balam Aba)
  320. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  321.
  322. [18:33] It seemed the very first step of Eztli's Spiritual journey had been taken. He was now attuned to the realm of Spirits and, granted, although it wasn't a strong connection, it got the ball rolling.
  323.
  324. He could hear the Spirits now, even communicate with them should he choose to. And if he were to make an offering or perform a Spirit Dance, maybe even see them, even if only for brief periods of time.
  325.
  326. It would be a long journey to be sure, but one that he was willing to take in honour of his family and tribe.
  327.
  328. He held out Tlalli then, and asked for more wisdom. If there was anything they were willing to share that could aid him on his Spiritual Journey. And the Patron Spirit whispered back, words so very quiet he could barely hear them.
  329.
  330. It was a jumbled mess, but he could pick out bits and pieces.
  331.
  332. Continue. Help. Heal. Practice.
  333.
  334. To continue to do what he was doing in this moment. Meditating, attuning himself - and then help the Spirits. Heal the hurt caused by Achyon's corruption. All things he could do.
  335.
  336. Seek... out Eznite...I>
  337.
  338. Came Tlalli's parting words, and Eztli's concentration snapped as he was brought back to the present. "Hm..."
  339.
  340. Hadn't Eznite already been awoken? Why would he need to seek them out? Unless to partake of their knowledge. There weren't exactly any Totems of which he could call upon their power.
  341.
  342. Perhaps there were still some Temples dedicated to him.
  343.
  344. With that, his meditation was over, and he'd curiously watch on as his brother danced.
  345. (Eztli Meztin)

  347.
  348. [18:34] It seemed the very first step of Eztli's Spiritual journey had been taken. He was now attuned to the realm of Spirits and, granted, although it wasn't a strong connection, it got the ball rolling.

  355.
  356. It was a jumbled mess, but he could pick out bits and pieces.
  357.
  358. Continue. Help. Heal. Practice…
  359.
  360. To continue to do what he was doing in this moment. Meditating, attuning himself - and then help the Spirits. Heal the hurt caused by Achyon's corruption. All things he could do.
  361.
  362. Seek... out Eznite…
  363.
  364. Came Tlalli's parting words, and Eztli's concentration snapped as he was brought back to the present. "Hm..."
  365.
  366. Hadn't Eznite already been awoken? Why would he need to seek them out? Unless to partake of their knowledge. There weren't exactly any Totems of which he could call upon their power.
  367.
  368. Perhaps there were still some Temples dedicated to him.
  369.
  370. With that, his meditation was over, and he'd curiously watch on as his brother danced.
  371. (Eztli Meztin)
  372. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  373.
  374. [18:40] As quickly as the essence gathered and flowed around him it would soon dispurse into thin air, Balam now breathing heavily as if he'd never inhaled air before. Sweat now streaming down his face and body he allowed himself some rest. Looking to his brother who had seemed to finish his mediation as well.
  375.
  376. A weak smile was given as he'd struggled up to his feet. "Well I think we've trained good and hard for today how about we call it for now and pick back up again soon?" He spoke while wheezing a little bit.
  377.
  378. Aiming to follow his brother who perhaps had the most energy between the tow of them back towards the village. "I can tell you made some progress Eztli! Continue to use that spark on your journey and i'm sure it'll lead you down interesting places." Although he couldn't help wonder what exactly Tlalli wisdom the Great spirit whispered to his brother.
  379.
  380. Yet he knew that communication between spirits were sacred and should be left to the individual although he could tell his brother had question he'd aim to answer anything he could to the best of his ability at least. "So what did you think about the mediation? I hope fyou found something vauable from this all?"
  381.
  382. He'd pour water over the smoking brazier. Then using his air magic to flow out the rest of the smoke that had built up around them. After all was said and done Balam prepared to exit the caverns with Eztli
  383. (Balam Aba)
  384. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  385.
  386. [18:46] Eztli would let out an exhausted breath, the toll of the training and then spiritual attunement finally catching up to him "Whew..."
  387.
  388. He stands up, dusting himself off before smiling brightly at his brother.
  389.
  390. "Yup! I can hear the Spirits now. They're just faint whispers for the moment... but if I concentrate hard enough I can make out words!"
  391.
  392. A good start if he did say so himself.
  393.
  394. "And I think Tlalli spoke to me. Said something about... seeking out Eznite…" He taps his chin "I wonder if there's any Ruins dedicated to him? Up for an adventure sometime?"
  395.
  396. He had no idea where to start, but he was sure if he searched his mothers tomes, he'd come across something in relation to a ruin or two.
  397.
  398. "It was good! Really insightful! Thank you help helping me train, Balam, I really appreciate it!"
  399.
  400. With that he follows on behind his older sibling.
