Titans Compound

The Catskill Mountains rise abruptly at the western edge of the Hudson Valley, and the entire area is part of a limited development zone. Many roads lead there, and off one such road, a half mile into the woods, a strange three-lobed granite 'castle' stands, three circular towers connected by a curved wall twenty feet tall, enclosing a garden-like courtyard dominated by a large fruit tree with grafts from many different kinds of apple, cherry, and peach.

The tower closest to the compressed-gravel road is the one with the obvious entry door.  The area has cameras and other sensors scattered throughout, and may have other entrances and exits.


Titans Castle

The inside of the three-lobed castle is modern in style, with a smoothly curved,bullet-proof tempered glass wall revealing the courtyard to anyone on the ground floor of the building; concrete and steel pillars at the towers and halfway along the walls for structure, securable doors opening to the courtyard at the towers, and the tree in the middle, sometimes lit by internal lights.

The front tower door opens (with a weather-lock entry hall) onto an entrance parlor that can be used to entertain guests.  The left tower ground floor holds a library, research, and study area.  The right tower ground floor holds a kitchen and dining area, along with a laundry and other utilities.

The walls are lined on the inside, away from the glass, with stretched-X doubled-back stairways leading up to the second floors, and with bookshelves and artwork niches under the stairs; the hall itself is wide enough for two people to walk side by side easily.

The front tower upstairs has a set of four guest rooms sharing a single bathroom; the left and right towers have been set up with four residence-rooms each. Each room is large enough to be comfortable for one person, two if they're friendly.

Concealed elevators at each tower give access from the ground floor and also give access to the underground.


Titans Base

A converted missile silo (the conversion accomplished by the famous 1980s base-architect "Lairmaster" -- and signed by him on a placard on the wall) has been turned into a functional base for a hero group.

The center of the silo is open, lined with lights, leading down to an intentional well which can be pumped out to use for fire-fighting. Water can be processed and purified for use by humans, and it can feed a hydroponic system that lives under the central garden of the castle above.  This makes the base able to function in a mostly-stand-alone mode.

Wide gantries and catwalks line the walls of the shaft, with elevators opening under each tower; there are facilities in each direction through a well-lit and demarcated door to a concrete tunnel.

&view_Tunnel_A here=Between the Right and Left towers, the power and physical plant is located; a geothermal power plant builds and stores energy used by the base, and some of the computers and telecommunications systems are located here. (They have been brought up-to-date, to an extent.)
&view_Tunnel_B here=Between the Right and Front towers, the passage leads to a set of large rooms which were originally warehouse, shop, and parts rooms; one of them has been cleaned up and can be used for exercise, and practice, the others still work for warehousing; a control may conceal a secret tunnel to the outside for vehicles.
&view_Tunnel_C here=Between the Left and Front towers, the passage leads to a set of meeting rooms, one of which has been configured with several computers, and two or three of which were originally built as a sort of office/barracks complex by the military when this silo was originally created; they can be turned into private rooms, an infirmary, etc. as needed.  One was already configured as an infirmary and has been updated somewhat.
