 Dark Souls 3 Cheat Engine (How to Get It)
You tired of hearing “git gud” ? Or maybe you already beat the game but you want to revisit it without having to farm souls? Cheat Engine is the way for you to go.
What even is Cheat Engine? Cheat Engine is software that allows you to change your game data manually. Just like the name implies, it enables you to cheat. In Dark Souls 3, it gives you the ability to change your stats and spawn items.
It’s a bit daunting at first but you’ll find it a lot easier once you get used to it.
Cheating comes with a few risks. Here’s a quick warning before we get into how to actually get and use Cheat Engine:
While there is no Valve Anti-Cheat for Dark Souls 3 on Steam, using Cheat Engine on multiplayer will result in a soft ban. A soft ban will limit you to servers with other soft-banned players. The only way to avoid this is by making sure that you play offline
Onto how to get Cheat Engine and the Dark Souls 3 cheat table:

  Go to https://www.cheatengine.org/downloads.php and download the latest Cheat Engine 7.2 version for your operating system.

Now that we’ve got Cheat Engine installed and the Dark Souls 3 cheat table downloaded, we’re ready to have to some fun.
Start Dark Souls 3 and open up Cheat Engine. If you’re playing Dark Souls 3 in fullscreen, I recommend you switch to windowed mode to make things convenient.
After launching Dark Souls 3 and with Cheat Engine now open, click on the Open icon that’s directly under file. Select the Dark Souls 3 cheat table that you downloaded earlier and click open.
After opening the table, go ahead and select the Dark Souls 3 process. You do that by clicking ‘find process’ that’s under file, selecting Dark Souls 3 and then finally pressing Open.
Now that the Cheat Engine table is open, check the “Open – – Table v1.2.0 – Game v1.15” box, then check the “Helpers” box and finally, check the “Item Gib” box.
Spawning an item requires an item ID. Here is a searchable list of every item in the game. https://commands.gg/ds3/items
As an example for this guide, we’ll be using the item ID for a Torch 015EF3C0.
With Item Gib open, double click on the “Item ID (Hex)” field. Make sure you double click the item code in the “Value” column to change it. A small popup window will appear asking you “What value to change this to?”.
We’re going for a Torch in this guide so we’ll go ahead and paste the Item ID for it 015EF3C0. You can replace with any other Item ID you want. Go to the searchable list https://commands.gg/ds3/items and pick what you want.
After you entered the Item ID, press “OK” and check the “Spawn Item” in the table.
There you go! If you followed these steps, your item should instantly spawn on the floor in-game.
If you want to skip farming enemies and quickly level up. You can spawn as many Souls as you want using that method. Consume them and have fun picking which stats you’ll be maxing out first.
It’s much easier than it actually sounds. Don’t forget to play offline to avoid getting soft banned.
How To Use Cheat Engine To Spawn Items In Dark Souls: Remastered, Scholar of the First Sin & III
In this video I cover how to install and use Cheat Engine on Windows 11 to spawn items in Dark Souls: Remastered, Dark Souls: II Scholar of the First Sin and Dark Souls III.
Step 1. Download & Install Cheat Engine.
Cheat Engine can be downloaded from the Github project page by clicking on the Release tab and then running the installation package.
It is likely that Cheat Engine will get flagged by any anti-malware software you have installed, so you will need to add an exception, but once installation has finished, click Finish to launch.
Step 2. Install Some Game Cheat Tables.
Cheat Engine works with Cheat Tables to spawn in items.
For Dark Souls Remastered, you need both the cheat table and the stealth edit plugin, but for Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin and Dark Souls III, you only need the cheat table.

Step 3. Open Cheat Tables.
To open any cheat table, double click on the the file which will open it in Cheat Engine.
Just remember, if you are going to be using Cheat Engine with Dark Souls Remastered, you also need the stealth edit plugin.
So make sure to download and extract the archive, then open the cheat table.
Once Cheat Engine is running, navigate to Edit / Settings / Plugins, click Add new, select the umstealthedit-x86_64.dll, tick the box, and then click OK.
Otherwise for Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin and Dark Souls III, all you need to do is open cheat table in Cheat Engine.
Step 4. Use Cheat Engine to Spawn Items Within the Game.
The process of spawning items with both Dark Souls Remastered and Scholar of the First Sin are the same, whereas Dark Souls III uses a different method.
I strongly recommend running these games offline when using Cheat Engine, as I will not be held responsible if you get banned.
To spawn items in both Dark Souls: Remastered and Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, launch the game as normal, load your save and whilst the game is running, open the cheat table.
Once Cheat Engine is running, click on the Computer item, select the Dark Souls Remastered or Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin process and click Yes to keep the current address list / code.
Next click on the Open section, scroll down to Helpers, and click on Item Swap.
Within the game, drop any items that can have a value of more than one, and you will see that the Item Name value in the Item Swap section has been changed to the item you dropped.
From here, double click on the Item Name value, change to whatever you want and when you next pick up the item it will have changed to the value you specified.
This can be done in multiples as well.
The method for Dark Souls III is slightly, different, launch that game as normal and load your save.
Next, launch the Dark Souls III cheat table, select the game process, again keeping the current address / list code.
Item swap does not work on Dark Souls III, so instead, we will be spawning items in directly.
Within Cheat Engine, click the Open tab and navigate to Scripts / Build Creation / ItemGib and under Item Name, specify the item you want to spawn in, clicking OK to confirm.
Set the required quantity, and click on the Spawn Item option.
This method will also allow you to spawn in weapons, armour, and spells, with upgraded levels and infusions, but any so-called illegal weapons will trigger a ban.
