Frustration

After leaving Brighthold to gather more herbs and seek out some silence to meditate in the young Ryozo ventured into Wychwood, slowly marching through the woods while cutting, digging and harvesting what she needed for later, slowly heading towards the bloom to use it as her place to calm her rampart thoughts which poisoned her focus on research.

Though upon arriving close to the place she spotted a familiar figure of yokai she met before, Shinra, one she promised to try and convince members of the Dawn tht she wasn't a threat. Sighing loudly as she walked closer towards the giga and slowly rose her hand up, in a greeting, for now ignoring Rain, more focused on the yokai.

 Shinra nodded, eyeing her student over. She learned quickly. that was good. "That is enough. You are to practice this technique in every fight you enter from here on. At least once in every combat I wish for you to inflict this curse on someone. Then, over time, attempt to use this curse from further and further away. When you can use it from over 20 feet away, seek me out, and I shall begin the next phase." she states. Her tails began to glow with horrendous light, as if it was a black hole, consuming the very world around it. She was charging energy for... something.

Shinra turned to look at Sophia, and nodded to her. "One moment. Sophia. I must finish this lesson. It will only be a moment. Rain, watch closely, for this is our most powerful technique." she states. Even while charging it seemed as if Shinra had no need to focus on the technique. She grabbed the bandit, ripping his body from the tree with her teeth, just to throw the injured man into the sky.

At the apex of his rise into the sky, Shinra's aura suddenly flared, a massive orb of energy forming within the grasp of her 9 tails, which only continued to pump energy into it. Her occultic aura flared, like a physical wall of depravity and aggression around her before it was released, a solid beam of the Occult, the epitome of destruction through hatred. The Shadow Cannon completely obliterated the man, not so much as a scream heard, the tops of the nearest trees being removed with him, and nothing left other than black dust and smoke when it faded, just like the aura, which faded moments after.

Then Shinra turned to Sophia. "How may I help you?" as if nothing had happened.

 Rain was pulled from her own line of thinking by several aspects, most of which was Shinra, pulling the target practice dummy up into the air, and showing off the most powerful thing that Rain had possibly ever seen. Her mouth was slacked up for just a moment in amazement... she'd be able to do that someday.

For now though she still needed practice, specifically with this curse spell. Rain nodded, "I will." she gave quickly, seeing that Shinra apparently had some sort of business to attend to. "I can... go start practicing now, if you need to discuss something." she offered, not a bit of awkward tension in her voice, just offering these two who clearly know each other to get done what needs to be.

 Shinras presence resulted with Sophia sighing loudly as she looked away towards the distance, slowly getting annoyed as the thoughts that she tried to get rid of began to return, more distracting and annoying forcing herto grind her teeth as she addressed the yokai.

"I had no way to keep my side of the baring Shinra, the Dawn went as far as to show how powerless the ones on bottom are...including me...the "Golden Goddess" as the leader proclaim herself not only drove the one person I was feeling something towards away but also proven that any attempt to convince them that you could be an ally are fruitless.."

"I can't do anything...I even have to wait for permission to get my research done..." she sighed loudly before growling quietly and imagined Alistaie in her head, with her damned proudful attitude while looking down at the others. "I envy her...she has power that I will never as long as i am on the bottom...as long as my request to begin the blood tests and experiments are being denied...even my damned twin brother is catching up...and look at me...guess how old I am..." the girl said with clear frusration in her voice.

 Shinra turned to glance sidelong at Rain, her student... she was far too weak to aid her if a fight broke out here, and she felt the child was eager to go test and train herself against more bandits. "Go Rain. Seek me out once your goal is complete." she commanded, before sitting and facing Sophia.

The news was... less than pleasing. But then again, she expected as much. The lowest ranking in a group tended to be the least cared of. It was the same with Shinra in Loranthis... she was forced to join, and was rather low on the ladder. However.... Shinra saw an opportunity here. A true chance to turn the child to her side. To take down the Radiant Dawn from within.

"Then you must take that power for yourself, young bloodmancer. You say you envy their power? I can see why~ "

"These elders of yours have everything. They are stronger, they are in positions of power, and, based on what I see, you are no older than 8. But these feelings are rational. I have spoken to you before. You are far more deserving of such strength. You are much more intelligent, and your experiments can make you much closer to perfection than they ever could.All you must do is use your Envy as motivation. After all, who are they to say you can not grow?"

she stated and spoke, her tone soft and alluring, like that of a seductress leading someone to follow them away from their destination.

 Her fists tightened when the yokai confirmed another issue that recently began to trouble her mind, the lack of signs of puberty despite her turning thirteen. She snorted loudly and sent her blood against the tree, shooting it in form of a whip which sliced the trunk and made the tree fall on the ground.

She stomped her feet against the flowers, crushing them and exclaiming. "Haven't you noticed the odd issue!? I look the same despite alot of time passing since we saw eachother, as you remember mortals age...look at me and ask yourself isn't it strange I look EXACTLY the same?! I haven't mastered control over time and as said already...my research weren't approved...somethings wrong with body..."

"Others age and bloosom while I look like a kid...stuck on bottom with no way of finding why and HOW to fix this..." she said and soon sighed before rising her eyebrow and soon as she realized that Sinra mentioned something else in her speech, "What...do you mean by using envy as my motivation? How...the envy is supposed to help me with it? " she asked.

 Shinra grinned and stared down at the girl. Of course, the age of a human meant little to her. Yokai aged, but age meant nothing to them. The show of power was impressive as well, and Shinra was grinning wide.

"Haven't you ever wondered how us Yokai grew so quickly? How we so swiftly take control, how we so easily gain the power you seek? We have a drive like no other. One we are born with, and one drilled into our very body and mind. Our will to achieve perfection. This motivation drives us to incredible lengths to grow and learn. We oft forget there are leaders and grow on our own. We have our own motivations and agendas. So you do the same.

Take that envy, use it as your new drive. Your new purpose. Strive to gain the power you oh so deserve, and to strip those who are unworthy of their power. Show them what it meant to scorn your greatness. Perhaps your lack of aging was a gift. The gift to find your true potential with time to spare."

Her eyebrow rose as she listened to the yokai, slowly tilting her head with clear frustration, clearly disliking the idea the yokai presented to her, it sounded fishy as everything their race offered. She snorted loudly just before speaking. "As if...I am aging...but my body simply stopped growing...I am not yokai...I am a human and humans age all the time...I made few tests that confirmed it...though while risking that I will be tortured or even killed...for going against orders..." she said with loud snort.

She looked at her own hands and sighed before adding. "I just want to look like a proper woman...not like a damned kid forever...not like envy could even fix that..." she sai before turning around.

 Tsk'd, shaking her head.

"So short sighted and so quick to give up? Perhaps your mind matches your body." she stated as she watched the child turn to leave. Her voice was soft and serene as ever, although there was a touch of dissappointment along with it. Of contempt.

"Who are they to torture you for seeking to improve yourself? These people are not assissting you. They are controlling you... I thought you were one of the smart ones. Why else would I assist your growth with my blood?"
