Born in a middle class family, Hayu always had an interest in the performing arts. Hayu's interest in dance grew when she was signed up for ballet lessons and soon after she was enrolled in a dance academy. She was scouted when she was on her way to dance class. Her parents were pretty supportive about her decision, but warned her about the hardships about being a trainee. She trained for three years before debut.
