on why saki has no real life friends (fic)

"Heeey, dragon girl!" The children jeered. "How's your dad, huh?! Still dressing like a chick? He got a new boyfriend lately?" The children rolled their heads back with laughter, and Saki glared at them, her hands balled into shaking fists.

"Don't you talk about my dad like that."

"Give it up, Saki, we all know your dad's a f--"

Saki punched the children's leader in the face. It was an unpracticed blow, an angry strike, not the soft fist she'd been taught to use. But she was strong, for a child, and her peer fell back with a bloodied nose.

"What the hell?! You crazy bitch!"

"I said," Saki growled, "don't talk about my dad like that."

"Looks like we got another subject, anyway, 'cause you're fucking crazy!"

"Fuck you," Saki said, and stepped forward. Her tormentor stepped back, raising his fists. His stance was unbalanced, his thumb tucked inside his fingers. It was clear to her that he'd never fought a day in his life.

And she didn't care.

She rushed forward with surprising speed, her hands held properly, now, and she jabbed at his pressure points with her fingers. She curled them in as she slammed her fist into his gut once  she'd struck the necessary points, and stepped to the side as he gagged, knowing what was coming.

The boy vomited over himself.

"F...fuck..."

"Does anyone," Saki said, smiling a brutal smile, "want to say anything else about me and mine?"

The boy's friend stepped forward, but he raised a hand to stop him.

"No -" he coughed - "forget it, she's fucking insane. Let's just get out of here and leave the bitch to her sorry life."

"Smart boy. Now piss off. If you ever fuck with me again, you'll be sorry."

"You're the one who's fucked with the wrong people," the kid said. He groaned as he straightened up, and began walking away with his posse.

The teasing she endured in school soon became unbearable, and eventually, she was expelled for breaking a student's nose.

Her father homeschooled her after that.
