  48. [22:03] Kirsi Ó Cnáimhín says, "And that, is rude."
  49. [22:03] Sir Airgenald Spudnicus Ixis whispers something.
  50. [22:03] Kirsi stepped forward, once.
  51. (Kirsi Ó Cnáimhín)
  52. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  53.
  54. [22:03] Coraline Invidia II says, "I have one of your kind as a pet..."
  55. [22:03] Kirsi Ó Cnáimhín says, "Ya lot talkin' like that ain't helpin' either."
  56. [22:04] Kirsi Ó Cnáimhín says, "Ya cannae resolve ya issues like this, it ain't gonna work."
  57. [22:04] Kirsi Ó Cnáimhín says, "People have been fightin' in this land fer forever n'a half."
  58. [22:04] Kirsi Ó Cnáimhín asks, "What's come of it?"
  59. [22:08] The demon had enough of the idle chatter. Deep within its core it summoned forth darkness that spanned for miles. Shadowy figures birthed behind it dug their way from the pits of the void and as its own power ignited into a flame of occultism the creature gazed upon the two who stood before it.
  60.
  61. The words of the boy and the man meant little to him, After all he had an enemy and he had his orders from Vel. Nothing else mattered beyond testing his own capabilities and completing his objective. There was no longer any hesitation.
  62.
  63. The man with the shields would be the one he wanted more than the child but if he had two of them he couldn't complain at all. Looking towards Coraline the Ra'Kamel expressed to her clearly the time for discussion had ended with their first refusal. Annoyed Ra'Kamel let out a large roar in the direction of the two. Metallic clanging banged and roared sending shockwaves of dark power towards them.
  64.
  65. " Enough! Prepare yourselves to die! " Although his intentions had been to kill he would hold back some of his anger to beat them only an inch close to their life. After all the wolf deserved most of his hatred.
  66.
  67. (Ra'Kamel)
  68. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  69.
  70. [22:10] Sir Airgenald Spudnicus Ixis asks, "Well Kirsi, are you fighting, or should I hold them back?"
  71. [22:16] Sir Airgenald Spudnicus Ixis whispers something.
  72. [22:19]
  73. {LOAD GAME}
  74.
  75. [22:34] Diplomacy had failed, and Airgenald's divine aura would come ignite, the glow taking the shape of thick fur that covered his Nyeshk armor, a wolf's head covering his head as if it were a helmet. His shields bolstered as a wolf of pure light circled around Kirsi, it oddly enough had crazy fur that stuck out at all ends, much like the mane of the redhead it sought to protect.
  76.
  77. Dipping into his hide stance that lowered his center of gravity to provide maximum stability and coverage behind his shields. The Ookami did not know what Kirsi's ability in battle was, but Shai was roughly her age and was able to hold her own. Hopefully it would hold true here as well.
  78.
  79. Either way, he knew what he had to do here, defend Kirsi, and make sure they was not captured at any cost. The clanging of shields rang through the field before Airgenald let out a fearsome howl.
  80.
  81. Atleast he told his wife he loved her before he left.
  82. (Sir Airgenald Spudnicus Ixis)
  83. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  84.
  85. [22:38] The Accursed would smile wickedly her scythe sliding into her hand igniting in black flames. She'd wanted both of these people for a while now...
  86.
  87. How kind of them to come together.. and with Ra' to help her no less.. Someone wasn't walking away...
  88.
  89. Her Demonic magic pulsed from her... she kept it purposefully directed downwards when she could... the plants, insects, and animals nearby all slowly withering, shriveling, or rotting as she stole their essence to fuel her spells.
  90.
  91. This was for Kirsi's benefit more than anything.
  92.
  93. Time to get a new dog while she was at it....
  94. (Coraline Invidia II)
  95. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  96.
  97. [23:12] ".. What do ya know, a correct answer. Technically."
  98.
  99. It was, perhaps, less taken aback than a kid should be in that particular situation. That, however, was likely just a bit of shock speaking. The kid was staring down a demon, demon-spawn, and lesser creatures too. It simply hadn't registered immediately.
  100.
  101. In the blink of an eye, that changed. They realized where they were, what they were doing. What they faced. It was a small spark which caused it, a memory of what once happened before. Occultic magics seeped into the ground below, searing hot. Withering away the life there, charring the land. Hazel eyes misted over pale blue.
  102.
  103. How convenient. How deplorable.
  104.
  105. Their instincts kicked in. Hazy blue shifted, and flickered. They had something to protect, something to stand for now. Brilliant light circled around the kid's form, not of her own making this time. First there was something to do. Something more important than gathering that particular, volatile energy they wielded.
  106.
  107. One hand lifted. Bare teeth pulled open that self-same wound that had been there since the mountain top. The slit across their palm, with which they'd sent the first spirits Coraline disturbed to rest. Crimson streaked across pale flesh, droplets scattering across the earth. At least, they would have done just that.
  108.
  109. If they ever touched the ground.
  110.
  111. "Spirits of th'land, wrongfully harmed. Accept m'offerin-
  112.
  113. Find ya peace in one last act o'kindness."
  114.
  115. Instead they dispersed into the wispy white-wings of insects taking flight. They dispersed into the ethereal forms of small birds, field-mice, the ilk. The very grass beneath their feet seemed to shift and shimmer, swaying with the spirits of the land.
  116.
  117. With the veritable swarm of small spirits now at their side, Kirsi refocused their efforts. They drew upon the magic which was, to them, so difficult to consistently utilize. Like little twinkling stars in the night sky, brilliant white sparks of holy electricity crackled through the air about their form.
  118.
  119. Their irises went pure white. Glowing. Brighter, brighter still- Until the pressure in the back of their skull became too much, and they lost their control. All light flickered out, one hand lifted to the side of their head. It was terrifying, to let so much mana flow through their circuits. It felt as though they would be burnt up in the flow.
  120.
  121. As though their circuits might give out if they did too much.
  122.
  123. Like a frightened child the redhead shifted a step away, their eyes wide as they spared another glance. Things were already in motion, but the world seemed slow. Seconds stretched on. Their gaze landed on Spud.. So determined to defend them, even though they knew so little of each other.
  124.
  125. They couldn't just let him fight alone because of a little thing like possible death or capture. They couldn't lose control this time, no matter how painful it was. No matter how terrifying. Trembling fingers clenched into fists.
  126.
  127. White light flickered and flared to life, sparks twinkling to life once more. Their eyes glowed once more.. This time the color tinged darker. Yellow at first, but fading still.
  128.
  129. "Don't think. Only act."
  130. (Kirsi Ó Cnáimhín)
  131. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  132.
  133. [23:20] The first round almost went how she expected... both lunging for Ra at once... she did her best to weaken them both before he went down leaving both for her.. remembering the dogs tactics from their first fight she was able to maneuver more around him this time... and though Kirsi seemed to have developed some decent lightning magic it wasn't enough...
  134.
  135. She managed to bring the both of them down... both weakened from their initial assaults...
  136.
  137. She began laughing... though there was only rage in her heart...
  138. (Coraline Invidia II)
  139. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  140.
  141. [23:21] Ra'Kamel was overwhelmed by the assault of the holy magi aiming to cut him off from supporting Coraline. However as he was the target he made quite well and sure to weaken both foes down as much as it could before taking the brunt of their attacks off of Coraline.
  142.
  143. Utilizing its gravity magic it created a sphere of condensed darkness. Throwing it towards the two foes it allowed for it to expand drawing them in before distorting the mana in the area. Gathering it within its jaws and firing the concentrated blast of Demonic energy towards his foes. Although it seemed to have been completely blocked by the Ookami's shields.
  144.
  145. And with a powerful bash the Demon was knocked down however Coraline was undamaged and was able to take on the assaults of the weakened shield barer and the child on her own.
  146.
  147. (Ra'Kamel)
  148. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  149.
  150. [23:22] Ra'Kamel whispers: Aim for the child first
  151. [23:22] Coraline Invidia II whispers: Both of us?
  152. [23:23] Ra'Kamel whispers: Yes.
  153. [23:23] Coraline Invidia II whispers: Mmhm~
  154. [23:26] Amber eyes focused on the demon as the defender came barreling in, even with all the Nyeshk that weight him down he was able to disappear from view as he struck around at all sides, grasping him with marble hands that seared into his leg from his's holy influence before being broken out as the Ookami charged with such force to shatter the stone fist.
  155.
  156. He'd dance around some of the worst strike before leaping into the air to come crashing down on him. However, he had taken several burns from the horned girl who had been firing large blasts at him.
  157.
  158. He'd take a moment to group and buy himself some time as his energy came back, but her flames were too hungry, singing him past his armor before he staggered for a moment. They were gaining the advantage and they couldn't stand to lose here.
  159.
  160. Gritting his teeth he would rise again. I can not fall. I can not falter. I will not become a martyr here. We must prevail. His light would start to glow brighter, the fur shape it took would start to knit together into something more akin to armor. "More. More. " Koume had mentioned layers, he needed more, barrier ontop of barriers. Alone they did little, but together they could do something.
  161.
  162. He'd cast a glance to Kirsi. Together, they could do something.
  163. (Sir Airgenald Spudnicus Ixis)
  164. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  165.
  166. [23:26] Still it flickered. Still it failed. When they could've done so much more, all light winked out of sight. At the worst possible time.. A wave of occultic flame washed over them, and they stumbled back. Seared and smoking, their armor hot to the touch. Their cloak now smudged with soot.
  167.
  168. More blood was spilt, involuntarily.
  169.
  170. The kid glanced toward their briefly-fallen comrade.
  171.
  172. And in that moment their vision went red.
  173.
  174. Where all light had flickered out it returned twofold, brilliant and brighter, just as erratic, if not moreso. The tone, once pure white, had faded to a deeper yellow. Verging on orange, and sparking throughout with little flecks of white light.
  175.
  176. It encased their entire form, as a shriek escaped them.
  177.
  178. More. Better. Stronger. Let it flow.
  179.
  180. Let. It. Flow.
  181. (Kirsi Ó Cnáimhín)
  182. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  183.
  184. [23:31] ** Ra'Kamel has inflicted an injury upon Kirsi Ó Cnáimhín. ("Temporary Injury", "Temporary Injury", "Temporary", "Duration: Medium (4 days)") **
  185. [23:32] Coraline Invidia II says, "how so"
  186. [23:41] The two duo's clash again except instead of playinh Ra' into the dogs strategy they chase the child down... though the dog kept getting in the way... blocking her spells with his shields where he could...
  187.
  188. Or just plain getting in the way... eventually the sheer force behind one of her fireballs sent the dog sliding away.... just long enough for her to down the child... though she realizes this just as Ra' goes down...
  189.
  190. Before the childs seeming guardian can recovers Kirsi finds themselves on the ground and its just the two of them... just like last time... they clash... stone grips her feet to hold her in place but he wouldn't find her easy prey still...
  191.
  192. She screams a concussive wave of shadowflame exploding in all directions coating the ground and air around her in it... making it not worth the cost of pursuing her for the moment... she shatters the stone and keeps moving... now that her focus was fully trained to one target she would layer curse on curse onto the mutt..
  193.
  194. His muscles would begin to feel like lead... his energy being sapped even as his body begins to overheat... Finally as he would charge her one final time he would find himself moving slowly...
  195.
  196. She pulls a collar from within the folds of her cloak as he gets close... with a motion he would find himself bound by gravity... momentum stopped completely.. She floats over to him and slaps the collar around his neck watching as all of his magic fails...
  197.
  198. "Bad dog."
  199. (Coraline Invidia II)
  200. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  201.
  202. [23:45] The demon would be the target of the attacks again yet this time it had a goal. To keep the shield barer off his back it would distort the fields of gravity holding both of their foes down surging the force of the gravity like heavy rain holding them back in a sluggish manner.
  203.
  204. As he would refocus his efforts onto the child the demon would send spheres of occultism hardened by gravity magic towards the girl re affirming his attention on her. Twisting the shadows to the will of the void demon spikes surged from the ground slashing her.
  205.
  206. As the demon moved closer it would gather the shadows into a hammer increasing the density of the weapon in its hand slamming it into the girl and slamming her into a near by mountain side.
  207.
  208. As the demon flew closer it would begin to draw its curse into the girl, Grey sparks of Demonic magic swelled within her Nullifying her will to fight. He mana would reach an all time low dropping down to nearly 0.
  209.
  210. A new curse the demon had worked on developing from its experimentation on Zariel and now would be the first time it worked within a battle. As he turned to his side Coraline had just finished her battle with the Ookami seeing as they wre down for the count this would be the perfect opportunity to get revenge.
  211.
  212. The demon walked over to the man and placed its foot on his spine. Holding him in place as Coraline locked the collar on his neck. Increasing the weight of his foot he'd make the man suffer as the crushing blow of the demons heavy metal foot rested on the back of his spine. The cold iron draining any type of resistance that could be spurred within his body." Where are you're angels now? You were their shield and now you are no more than their useless dog they let off their leash too quickly. Lord Vel and Archon Ipos will enjoy having you around I have no doubts about that. " The demon flashed a toothy grin of razor sharp metallic blades.
  213. (Ra'Kamel)
  214. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  215.
  216. [23:56] Airgenald would immeditately bolster his defenses as he went all in against the demon- but he was not their target. He had been outwitted by their wickedness, targeting the child instead of him.
  217.
  218. The ookami was not quick enough to stagger the demon before Kirsi was felled. The beast was injured though, and he would be stopped long enough attention could be paid to the accursed.
  219.
  220. His strength was drained from him as his quick speed became a steadfast march. He had to finish this before the demon stirred. Every step he took was a challenge, his mana was sapped from him and his subtle influence of gravity would be gone as the weight of the Nyeshk proved to be a hindrance for the first time.
  221.
  222. "Kirsi. RUN." He'd bark before making his last stand against the horned girl. He'd manage to close the distance, his shields slamming into her as he paid no mind of the burning fields around him at lashed out against the defender. He knew how this was going to go down.
  223.
  224. A final blast of fire knocked him to his knees, his shields digging in the ground as he refused to fall fully. The Demon would stand, and under the might of his boot, Airgenald would collapse as the collar was clasped around his neck. He was helpless, unable to move.
  225.
  226. The Demon's words fell of deaf ears as Amber eyes glared at Kirsi. He knew they were stubborn, he knew they'd do something stupid. "Kirsi, I swear to Kraus if you don't take my sacrifice to run, we are both doomed. No DON'T worry about me, and RUN BACK TO THE ANGELS." His voice dripped with spite for his captors, but there was a plead in it as well, as he could only hope Kirsi wouldn't waste the opportunity.
  227. (Sir Airgenald Spudnicus Ixis)
  228. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  229. [00:14] No..
  230.
  231. No...
  232.
  233. It couldn't end like that.
  234.
  235. That brilliant energy which encompassed their form split the dark flames. Yellow, tinging toward orange, with flares of white sparks. Though the battle the glow in their eyes only deepened in color. Almost like a flame of its own, a dying ember. Those which glowed the brightest were snuffed the quickest.
  236.
  237. Attention had been drawn, it seemed, from their newfound gift. A connection they hardly understood. Their mind was muddled, unfocused, entirely lost in the emotion of the moment. All the more they saw was red as they hurled blessed energy in the direction of their current foes.
  238.
  239. But it was just that. Unfocused. Imprecise.
  240.
  241. With honing the surge of emotions that flowed through their form might be discernable, but as it was they were confused. They could not make heads nor tails of what they did, solely working off instinct. Andwith the whirlwind of emotions inside, their instinct wasn't entirely clear. Where they should've ducked, where they should've dodged out and away, they simply lashed out instead.
  242.
  243. In a burst of cosmic energy, almost akin to a solar flare, where they were struck the demon was struck as well. Perhaps it would've been enough, if the kid were used to the power. If they were well-versed in the high-strung emotions, and battle such as this. As it was, their failure was likely only enough to make the creature angrier.
  244.
  245. And in the meantime, the kid's breath was knocked from their lungs. Their head struck hard against the stone, their body immediately aching from the impact. They slumped against the mountainside, hazel flickering into sight as the orange cosmic light died from their eyes. The curse near immediately shoved whatever connection they'd had away.
  246.
  247. The light, which shone so bright, died out.
  248.
  249. But they couldn't stay there. It wasn't over, it couldn't be over- A faint flicker, and the kid winced. Nothing came of their attempt but the faintest scent of ozone.
  250.
  251. They forced themself to their feet. One limping step taken forward. Toward that voice- Until the words registered. Run. Run away. Leave him to fall to these demonic beasts. It wasn't right. They couldn't.
  252.
  253. They couldn't do that to him. It was their fault. He had come along because of them. Kirsi choked up, tears welling in their eyes as they listened to the plea. How could he ask them to just leave him to this?
  254.
  255. "Please.."
  256.
  257. A quiet word, an appeal to the creatures which caught him.
  258.
  259. "Let him go. Take me instead."
  260. (Kirsi Ó Cnáimhín)
  261. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  262.
  263. [00:15] Coraline Invidia II says, "Either you go while you can, or we take both of you."
  264. [00:16] Sir Airgenald Spudnicus Ixis says, "Kirsi, I'll be fine, just RUN."
  265. [00:17] Sir Airgenald Spudnicus Ixis says, "This dog is tough."
  266. [00:17] Sir Airgenald would say in a snarl as he spit towards the horned one.
  267. (Sir Airgenald Spudnicus Ixis)
  268. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  269.
  270. [00:17] Ra'Kamel places more pressure on Spudnicus' back " QUITE ANIMAL"
