- You can assume your character knows of these things. Some may not be in the knowledge of your character though -- whichever the case, here's some lore about the setting.
- For convenience, the place of this role-play is not called a "planet", but is referred to as "the Land", or the "Surface"
- Reality Weave: The Reality Weave runs throughout Grandaelux. It ends in several areas, but Grandaelux is a constantly expanding Land. This doesn't stop it from having an "end", however, as most scholars believe the Reality Weave's end point is into a realm known as the Void, which essentially means you can, quite literally, fall off the face of the Earth. Scholars sometimes theorize the Reality Weave is "living", as it doesn't always obey what a mage wishes for.
- Pandemonium: Pandemonium is a realm outside of the void; little is known of the plane, but its lore was brought to the attention of scholars due to the cults of an ancient god claiming to have seen it.
- The Abyss: The Abyss is an outer plane that lives on its own law; it is disconnected from Grandaelux, but will often rear its ugly face in the form of demons.
- Webs: The reality weave creates several "Webs". These webs manifest themselves into people, and all living creatures as we know it. The reality weave's manifestation of land isn't comprised of the same webs as living entities. Webs are also called "souls"
- Death: Scholars theorize that death leaves a web of the living being in place. After death, the entity is reincarnated into a new vessel. This is a theory, not a fact.
- Weaver: A mage that ascended beyond S-rank. (See below), Weavers are capable of directly manipulating the Reality Weave to do their bidding. This results in them being capable of essentially anything they will; that is, if the Reality Weave chooses to follow their command. Weavers are more often born with high magical talent at birth.
- Darkweaver: Called the "Lebensterbts" in Grandaeluxian language, were(Some say they still lurk around today) Weavers who devoured the Webs of those they slayed. This resulted in absorbing all knowledge and powers of those they devoured. This art was spread more by Rhysvial, the god who rebelled against the Erilen pantheon and attempted to ascend beyond godhood by devouring the souls of others. He lead an army, (the dark weavers), who believed he would allow them to join him in ascendance.
- Gears of Grandaelux: "Gears" that were crafted by ancient denizens before the gods themselves. The Gears of Grandaelux are blamed for creating deific entities, as well as weavers.
- GearKin: Gearkin, or "deities", are born from the Gears of Grandaelux. To be basic, a gear "removes" itself from the other gears, resulting in the birthing of a deity. Of course, deities are born in alternative ways; but most of the pantheon belonging to the Land is born from the Gears of Grandaelux.
- Lebnach: Lebnach are Gearkin that aren't considered deities; they are heralds, absolute representations of a certain ideal. This results in most Lebnach becoming a vassal or messenger of other deities. Their web is modified beyond other entities however, and can violently show itself in a display of power.
- "Corpse God": (Better name in WIP), a Corpse God, is essentially a deity who ascended to his or her status rather than be birthed into godship. This is a long, and bloody road, filled with blood, sweat, and tears.
- SkyLands: Referred to as "Planes", "Lands", or "Sky Lands", these Lands make their place within Grandaelux, but are separated by the light tapestry. (see below). One can sever the separation, and enter the plane.
- Planesmaster: Each "Plane" within Grandaelux has a Planesmaster. This Planesmaster is considered a demigod; not quite the level of godship, but still quite powerful.
- Dark Tapestry: After going beyond the void, one penetrates a zone known as the Dark Tapestry. The Dark Tapestry is an outer realm that is said to be the birthing place of several deities.
- Light Tapestry: The light tapestry is a layer that covers Grandaeluxian reality from other planes. Mages use this in order to go from plane to plane.
- One God: The "One God" is the one man who rules over the continent of Grandaelux. Due to Grandaelux's size, it is said he who rules Grandaelux is a god -- which is often true.
- A Conflict: A war rages between two lords, Ulrich and Feredir. The tension spreads through quite a large chunk of Grandaelux, but tension still burns between
- Setting: The setting itself is within a plane called the "Land", it is sometimes called Grandaelux, which is the widely accepted name.
- Day and Night: The Reality Weave shows itself in day, which illuminates the Land with both heat and light. There is no sun, or moon. At night, the reality weave is still present, just relaxed. The reality weave's reactions also create weather phenomena.
- Grandaelux: The continent, obviously named after the land itself, is the largest continent found within the Land. It consists of various climates, from icy mountains, to vast plains and plateau.
- Ordeus: Ordeus is another large landmass, found across Grandaelux and separated by sea. Its large size gives it a few climates, mainly swamps, forestry, and one coastal desert at the far east.
- Aslo: Aslo is a icy wasteland, and is sometimes referred to as a dead continent. Despite this, life indeed still flourishes upon it.
- Ormanal: Ormanal is a continent east of Ordeus. It is the warmest continent in the Land.
- Numerous Isles: Isles decorate and dot the seas of the Land.
