- 'Sup, doods!
- Now that I've done two of these things, I think I can comfortably make an annual event out of my Pokémon Puzzle Week. There are many ways to play Pokémon Puzzle League that deserve to be shown off. I may need to get more creative with the categories I go with. I see what days got the least views. I must regroup.
- I'll worry about that next year, though. I've got so many other things to take care of before then, doods.
- Time I spend streaming is less time I spend making videos. And considering I haven't released a proper produced video in... six months? It's been THAT long... and it was five months before that... yeah, I need to get into the flow of producing content from my live streams to grow the YouTube channel. That Pokémon Puzzle Week sure set me back in my regular schedule, however, so I need to catch up this week to regain some semblance of balancing between live streams and video editing. I am so behind on clips and speedrun personal bests to produce, doods.
- After this week, as I explained at the end of Saturday's show, I intend to pick up on the streaming by doing more streams, but shorter. Currently, I try to stream two hours on Wednesdays and four hours on Fridays, for a total of six hours a week—though it's been closer to five hours lately. I end up reviewing the streams for clippable moments long after the fact and going through such long streams takes a hot minute every time, taking up a lot of my weekends that I don't spend streaming tournaments. Going forward, I am going to stream on Tuesdays through Fridays. Tuesdays through Thursdays will run 1 – 1 1/2 hours and Fridays will run 2 – 3 hours, in a perfect world. This should give me time every day to run the stream, clip the stream, and fall asleep at a decent hour, giving me enough time on the weekends to catch up on rendering video and produce everything else. I've never had to put this much effort into figuring out the workflow. It's gonna be a process, doods.
- You know, the Pokémon Puzzle Week streams don't actually have a lot of moments that can be condensed into a single minute. Even more reason to not be so reliant on Shorts for growth. Just ask Rin Penrose or Punkalo—er, Enya? It just means I need to make more non-Shorts content, doods.
- Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals (this won't be going down for a while, will it):
- Goal #1: upload the Flying Wiggler Open tournament videos. I think they'll start going up this week.
- Goal #2: edit personal best videos in Tetris Attack Easy – V-Hard and Normal—and everything I did this past week.
- Goal #5b: finalize the tournament layout once and for all in a way that I can adapt for the Pokemon Puzzle League tournaments. At this point, I don't expect to be able to do this before the next Pokémon Puzzle League tournament.
- Goal #6a: clean up my own stream layout. Most of the framework necessary for a semi-proper stream is done now thanks to streaming the process, though I'm not currently motivated to stream any other part of it at the moment. Next major objective is to make alerts. I have stream reaction clips to put in. Emotes, one or two alternate overlay themes, and alternate timer themes would come soon after. As soon as I think of things to put in, I will add them to the list.
- Goal #6b: catch up on video archives that I have yet to upload since I restarted streaming. I may put them on a separate channel.
- Goal #7: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. Getting back to this will be easier once the workflow for the monthly tournaments is finalized.
- Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.
- This week is a week off, doods!
- That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, be decent to each other. Later, doods!
