1. An eternity. That's now long it felt for Bonnie whenever she was on stand by, awaiting Enzo's arrival. It was one of the most frustrating experiences that she had to endure -- counting down the hours and minutes until their dimensions melded together liked ghosts before the rising sun.The amount of time that passed while waiting was only a matter of perception. It wasn't a pleasant expectation nor was it ideal having to communicate with him in this manner, but at least she was able to see him again. She wouldn't protest against that matter.

Taking a deep breath, the anxious witch took in the scent of the landscape around her. The outdoor space smelled of shrubs and perennials; a common spicebush which exuded a sweet and spicy fragrance. The garden surrounding her truly surpassed it's esthetic purpose. The scenery was beautiful, but of course, there was something about enjoying the view that pained her quite a bit. It wasn't necessarily the sight that nettled her, but the fact that she had to relish and savor these escapades alone. Without the man that she had made so many plans with, without the an that she looked forward to sharing many of her travels with. This feeling always brought back the godawful memory of that fatal day she lost him.

She recalled the events of that day all too well, for the moments after would burden her with an eternity of mental anguish. It was a day of peace for she and Enzo, at least for a moment. They were enjoying a day to themselves at motor raceway and discussing other adventures to dabble in amongst themselves after he was done racing. Skydiving, that's what he desired to do next -- but Bonnie began to muse with him about the cure. It was a decision that she instantaneously regretted. She briefly blamed herself for his demise. If only she hadn't taken him back to that bed and breakfast that she brought. If she hadn't gone to retrieve that cure, then maybe she would have had a chance to protect Enzo from being perforated by the hands of Stefan. Time stood still the day he died. That moment of the past frozen in her heart though a part of him remained with her now and forever.

The flames of the candles that encircled her began to flicker as it was fed by the circulation of oxygen and wax. She knew in that moment that the dashingly handsome vampire was close by. Her heart, oh God...did it pound like persistent waves against crumbling cliffs during that split second of realization.

"Closer than you think, love." The charm in that familiar voice wanted through the wind, caressing her skin like the smoothest silk. She shivered as the corners of her lips curled into a content smile. Finally Bonnie exhaled, releasing the breath that she had been holding for what seemed to be a lifetime. Turning her head in the direction in which the tone flowed, she watched as Enzo emerged from the shadows with a smile smirk upon his face. It took her less than a second to stand to her feet, olive green eyes widening as she ran towards him like a spreading wildfire. "Enzo!!!" Her voice cracked as she screamed out for him. There was always something about seeing him that set her entire soul ablaze. Each time was like being in the desert without water for weeks and then by heaven's grace, seeing a reservoir to drink from. He was her reservoir. Slender digits clasped at his face -- to touch him, that was a jubilation all of its own. Her eyes met with his, scanning his countenance as it remained the way she remembered it. She meshed her lips against his own; though greedily, her lips danced against his softly and delicately like butterfly wings.
br>She was hesitant to pull away from him at first, and she had every right to be. These moments were to be remember and they meant absolutely everything to her. When she did pull away from him, she balled one hand into a fist and playfully whacked him against his should. "What took you long? I have so many things about my day that I've been dying to share with you. Now I don't think you deserve to hear about my secret adventures." Bonnie teased him. She reached up, wrapping her arms around his neck and tugged him in closer to her. It was insane how this realm managed to enhance every single detail about Enzo that she held onto dearly.
