Season One:

Episode #1: Zidane Tribal, Blank, Marcus, and Cinna fight Baku. Princess Garnet wakens, and Vivi explores Alexandria, meeting Puck and sneaking into the castle.

Episode #2: Tantalus performs “I Want to be Your Canary” and eventually convince Princess Garnet to come with them. Steiner corners Zidane and friends and a battle begins on the stage.

Episode #3: Zidane and friends fight off Steiner while the Queen orders the destruction of the Prima Vista. The Prima Vista escapes, crashing into the Evil Forest.

Episode #4: Zidane and Steiner save Vivi, Zidane unlocking his Trance form. Zidane goes up against Baku and wins, earning the right to leave Tantalus. Zidane, Vivi, and Steiner go after the captured Princess.

Episode #5: Zidane and friends save Garnet and make a run for it as the forest petrifies. The gang barely escapes, Blank sacrificing himself to save them.

Episode #6: Zidane and friends explore the Ice Cavern before falling prey to Black Waltz No. 1’s spell. Fighting alone, Zidane barely manages to defeat the Black Waltz before passing out. The others find Zidane and wake him up, continuing their journey.

Episode #7: Finding the small village of Dali, Garnet decides to go by the name Dagger so nobody knows she is the princess. The gang explores the mysterious village separately and Vivi winds up being captured.

Episode #8: When Vivi doesn’t return to the inn, Zidane and Dagger sense something is wrong. Hearing Vivi crying from underground, Zidane and Dagger find the underground passage and make their way through the underground factory. Finding Vivi, the three come across the mass-production of black mages. Dagger worries her mother is up to something foul when he sees the mages are headed to the castle. The three sneak into a barrel to hide, soon being found out by Steiner. Suddenly, a second Black Waltz appears to retrieve the princess.

Episode #9: The gang defeats the second Black Waltz and hitch a ride on the airship. The third Black Waltz appears and incurs Vivi’s wrath by destroying some of the black mages.

Episode #10: Vivi enters Trance, defeating the third Black Waltz with Zidane and Steiner’s help. The Black Waltz chases after the airship using Zorn and Thorn’s air boat. After an elaborate chase scene the airship (piloted by Dagger) makes it through the South Gate, but the South Gate is damaged by the crashed air boat (and the seemingly destroyed Black Waltz No. 3). The gang is taken in by the sight of the titanic Lindblum City.

Episode #11: The gang meets with Regent Cid, who has been turned into an oglop. Cid agrees with Dagger that something is fishy in Alexandria. Later, the gang splits up and explores Lindblum. Zidane meets up with an old friend, Freya the Dragon Knight, Vivi buys a Kupo Nut and Steiner gets lost. Zidane decides to enter the Festival of the Hunt taking place the next day.

Episode #12: The Festival of the Hunt begins. Zidane, Vivi, Freya and a host of others enter. After a while Zidane, Freya, and Vivi team up to fight a Zaghnol who is attacking some children.

Episode #13: Zidane enters trance to deliver the finishing blow, but Freya’s powerful Jump ability allows her to land the finishing blow. With the Zaghnol defeated Freya wins the Festival of the Hunt. Cid hosts a celebratory feast, but a wounded Burmecian soldier interrupts. The gang learns that black mages are attacking Burmecia.

Episode #14: Learning of the invasion of Burmecia Freya decides to return home immediately. Zidane offers to go, but when Dagger wishes to go as well Cid and the others forbid it. Dagger laces the feast with sleeping weed and she and Steiner leave. When Zidane and the others recover they head for the Gizamaluke’s Grotto using the Dragon Gate.

Episode #15: Zidane, Vivi, and Freya meet Quina Qu. Quina joins the gang. Meanwhile, Dagger and Steiner sneak into the South Gate.

Episode #16: Freya and company pass through the Gizamaluke’s Grotto, horrified by all of the dead soldiers. The gang spots Gizamaluke attacking a newly married Moogle couple and step in to save them. After a difficult battle Freya deals the finishing blow with her Trance.

Episode #17: Dagger and Steiner meet up with Marcus and Cinna at South Gate. Cinna heads off on his own while Marcus reveals he too is headed to Treno. Along the way the mountain cab is stopped by…the third Black Waltz?! The three join forces, but Dagger struggles to fight her first real battle without Zidane. At the end of the battle Steiner congratulates Dagger as the princess looks forward to becoming stronger.

Episode #18: Zidane and friends reach Burmecia’s capital and are struck by the carnage. Slashing past a few black mage troupes the party reaches the castle and find it empty…except for the presence of the Queen, General Beatrix, and the mysterious Kuja. The Queen returns to her ship while Beatrix quickly defeats Zidane and crew.

Episode #19: Licking their wounds, Zidane and friends quickly head for the neighboring settlement of Cleyra. Meanwhile, Dagger and company arrive in Treno. After trying to steal the Supersoft, Dagger learns that it is owned by Doctor Tot, her old teacher. Tot agrees to give them the Supersoft so that Blank can be revived. Meanwhile, Zidane and company sneak past the weakened sandstorm barrier of Cleyra.

Episode #20: Dagger’s group ride on the Gargant and arrive in Alexandria. Zorn and Thorn capture Dagger’s group. Meanwhile, Zidane’s group climbs the Cleyra tree.

Episode #21: Zidane’s group saves Puck from the Antlion. Puck reveals he found Sir Fratley on his journey, but Fratley has lost his memories. As Zidane’s group explores Cleyra, Alexandrian soldiers begin their invasion as the sandstorm disperses.

Episode #22: Zidane’s group and the remaining citizens hold up in the temple. Beatrix sneaks in and steals the jewel. Zidane and friends fight Beatrix once more, but are defeated. Beatrix returns to the Red Rose, Zidane, Freya, and Vivi following. On the Red Rose Zidane and friends watch as Queen Brahne summons Odin and destroys Cleyra.

Episode #23: Horrified, Zidane and company learn that Brahne plans to execute Garnet. Using the telepods, Zidane, Vivi, and Freya make their way to the Alexandria Castle Dungeon, meeting up with a recently escaped Steiner. Steiner reveals that Marcus and he escaped earlier. While March went on to save Blank, Steiner has been looking for the Princess. Finally finding Dagger in the underground chapel, the gang rushes her up to the throne room to escape, but not before being confronted by Zorn, Thorn, and Beatrix. A four-on-three battle breaks out!

Episode #24: Beatrix finally realizes that the Queen has gone off the deep end. Using her White Magic, Beatrix revives Dagger. Beatrix, Freya, and Steiner work together to hold Brahne’s forces off while Zidane, Dagger, and Vivi escape to the Gargant. The Gargant goes nuts as it is chased by a serpent monster and eventually crashes past the Treno stop.

Episode #25: At the Pinnacle Rocks Dagger earns Ramuh as her newest (and now only) Eidolon. As they leave, Zidane, Dagger, and Vivi witness Alexandria’s invasion of Lindblum.

Episode #26: With Lindblum devastated Zidane, Dagger, and Vivi plan with Regent Cid the next course of action. Knowing Kuja is located somewhere on the north’s Outer Continent, Cid sends Zidane and company to the excavation site at the Qu’s Marsh so that they might reach the Outer Continent and storm Kuja’s hideout. Meanwhile, the Alexandria naval fleet prepares to set out from Lindblum’s harbor.

Episode #27: At the Qu’s Marsh Zidane and friends find that Quina survived the destruction of Cleyra and is ready to go with them to the Outer Continent. Finding the entrance to the excavation site, the gang enters but is soon chased by a giant machine!

Episode #28: Just barely escaping their pursuer, the gang is attacked by Lani the Bounty Hunter. They chase Lani off and continue exploring the Fossil Roo. Eventually they reach the end of Fossil Roo and walk out under the sun…

Episode #29: The gang notices that without Mist the lighting on the Outer Continent is much different. Reaching Conte Petie, Zidane and the others explore…eventually coming across a black mage! The gang follows the mage back to the southeast forest and find an entire settlement of ‘aware’ black mages.

Episode #30: Vivi and the gang learn about the black mages. That night Zidane tells Dagger about his past, saying Vivi might be contemplating staying with the black mages. The next morning Vivi says he’s going to see the world so he can tell the others about it and the four set off again.

Episode #31: Zidane and Dagger ‘get married’ so that they can go to the Sanctuary. The group meets Eiko, the last of the summoners. Quina runs off after Mog to eat her. Eiko joins the party and they set off to Madain Sari, her home village.

Episode #32: At Madain Sari Eiko prepares dinner for the group while Dagger visits the Eidolon Wall. Quina helps Eiko cook. Later that night Zidane and Vivi pee away their troubles under the stars. The next morning Eiko decides to take the gang to the Iifa Tree.

Episode #33: The gang explores the Iifa Tree and eventually fights and destroys the monster creating the mist.

Episode #34: The gang learns that a pendant has been stolen from Madain Sari. Returning, Eiko is soon captured by Lani and held random. Salamander appears and drives off Lani, disagreeing with the use of kidnapping. Salamander challenges Zidane. As the battle heats up, both enter Trance.

Episode #35: Zidane defeats Salamander, who agrees to join their group to learn more about Zidane. The gang heads to the Iifa Tree, finally spotting Kuja…but also the Alexandria Naval Fleet.

Episode #36: Queen Brahne summons Bahamut to kill Kuja. Dagger unseals Leviathan, hoping he can help her save her mother. Kuja uses the Invincible to take control of Bahamut. Bahamut destroys the fleet. Vivi narrates as Queen Brahne dies in her daughter’s presence, finally free of her greed.

Episode #37: Back in Alexandria, Garnet is preparing to assume the throne. Eiko tries to write a love letter to Zidane, who is depressed. Eventually, Zidane and company leave for Treno.

Episode #38: Zidane wins the card game tournament. The episode ends as the gang learns that Alexandria is under attack.

Episode #39: Bahamut attacks Alexandria. Eiko and the other return and with the four jewels reunited Alexander is summoned. Alexander defeats Bahamut. Garland uses the Invincible to destroy Alexander. Alexandria is in ruin.

Episode #40: In Lindblum the gang tries to form their plan of attack. Knowing that Kuja is using black mages from the Black Mage Village, the gang plans to go there to ask questions. Meanwhile, Zidane searches for the three potions that might restore Cid to normal, but they wind up turning him into a frog instead. The gang learns that Dagger has lost her voice due to the shock of recent events.

Episode #41: Accompanied by Regent Cid, the gang goes to the Black Mage Village via the Blue Narciss, as piloted by Blank. There they learn of where Kuja’s palace is. Entering the desert, the gang are caught in quicksand and captured.

Episode #42: Kuja threatens Zidane’s friends with death if he doesn’t go to Oeilvert and obtain the Gulag Stone for him. Zidane, Steiner, Freya, and Salamander ride the Hilda Garde I to the Forgotten Continent.

Episode #43: Cid manages to free Dagger, Eiko, Vivi, and Quina. The group goes about disabling the defense systems of the palace before being confronted by the Valia Pira.

Episode #44: Zidane’s team arrives at Oeilvert and learns about the history of Terra. The gang finds the Gulag Stone but is attacked by the Ark.

Episode #45: Both teams finish off their respective foes. The two teams meet up and confront Kuja, but Eiko is taken captive. Kuja flies off to the Lost Continent, the gang trailing behind.

Episode #46: The gang makes their way through Esto Gaza and Mount Gulag. Mog turns into Madeen to protect Eiko.

Episode #47: Kuja escapes. Zidane and friends return to Lindblum, Lady Hilda recovered. Hilda returns Cid to normal and construction on the Hilda Garde No. 3 begins. Hilda tells the gang of what she learned from Kuja, but Dagger is missing! Zidane rushes to Alexandria. Finding Dagger at her mother’s grave Zidane learns she has regained her voice. Dagger takes the dagger that had inspired her pseudonym and cuts her hair now reborn.

Episode #48: Zidane and Dagger return to Lindblum. With the Hilda Garde No. 3 finished the gang head off to Ipsen’s Castle. At Ispen’s Castle Salamander parts ways with the group. Inside the castle the gang eventually finds four mirrors and takes them for their own, but Taharka attacks!

Episode #49: The gang defeats Taharka and prepares to leave, but Salamander has yet to leave the castle! Zidane goes back in and saves an injured Salamander. Salamander finally makes peace with his conflict with Zidane. Next the gang split up to place the mirrors at their respective temples.

Episode #50: Freya and Salamander fight Maliris. Vivi and Steiner fight Tiamat.

Episode #51: Dagger and Eiko fight Kraken. Zidane and Quina fight the Earth Guardian.

Episode #52: All four teams regroup after defeating their respective enemies. The Hilda Garde No. 3 arrives at the Shimmering Islands and the eight heroes leap into the portal to Terra.

Episode #53: The gang awake on Terra and explore Bran Bal. Zidane is lured by Garland to Pandemonium.

Episode #54: Zidane learns of his origin. Zidane begins to push away his friends, but as he battles his way through Pandemonium they convince him that he is in control of his own life.

Episode #55: The gang confronts Garland in a massive eight-on-one battle. Kuja arrives on the scene and kills Garland.

Episode #56: The gang deals major damage to Kuja, but Kuja enters Trance. Using Ultima, Kuja destroys Terra.

Episode #57: Mikoto and the other Genomes are relocated to the Black Mage Village on Gaia. Zidane and the others prepare for the final battle with Kuja at the Iifa Tree.

Episode #58: Using the Invincible, the gang storms the Iifa Tree. Alexandria and Lindblum’s airships appear, helping fight off the horde of monsters. The gang teleport into Memoria and begin exploring.

Episode #59: The gang separate into pairs again to hold off the four revived Chaos Guardians so that Zidane can move on ahead. Freya and Salamander come across Hades. Finally, Zidane and Dagger are confronted by Deathguise.

Episode #60: The gang reunites, holding off Deathguise while Zidane begins the final battle with Kuja.

Episode #61: Using Quina’s Trance-enhanced Eat/Gourmet ability, the gang finally manages to defeat Deathguise. Meanwhile, Zidane and Kuja go at it with the highest level of power seen yet!

Episode #62: Zidane defeats Kuja, who uses Ultima to try and destroy everything. Necron appears, ready to end existence. With the last of their strength, the gang confronts Necron. Hades, humored by their attempt at fighting on restores their strength. The final battle begins!

Episode #63: Zidane, Dagger, Vivi, Steiner, Freya, Quina, Eiko, and Salamander combine their various skills and Trance powers to defeat Necron.

Episode #64: Zidane parts with Dagger to go back to find a still-living Kuja. Zidane and Kuja talk as the Iifa Tree collapses on them.

Episode #65: some time later Tantalus has returned to Alexandria to perform “I Want to Be Your Canary.” It turns out the hooded Marcus is actually…Zidane! Zidane and Dagger embrace. The End.
