  1. [20:36] Their fight was intense. The Chieftan proved to be a good rival for Imra'el, and he was sure the Xizoh would feel the same about him. Rivalry, under the shaman's perspective, was a great way of pushing each other further on.
  2.
  3. The flames and nature had collided greatly. For each time the Chieftan attempted to move, he'd meet all of nature's strength against him, plus the illusionism Imra'el had focused on learning long ago.
  4.
  5. But it was barely enough, the dryad knew. He was defeated by Katzan before, and had grown the utmost respect for his Chieftan, and saying this was an easy match wouldn't be anywhere near the truth. Once they were tired enough, Katzan merely stumbled and, seeing he'd likely fall, Imra'el simply restrains himself for attacking.
  6.
  7. They both stare at each other, clearly exhausted.
  8. (Imra'el)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [20:37] Imra'el says, "... a great fight."
  12. [20:37] Imra'el says that as the flames still consume his 'skin'.
  13. (Imra'el)
  14. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  15.
  16. [20:47] Katzan was taken down, unfortunately. He stumbled and fell down on the ground, and quickly as blood dripped from the tip of his lips, a forced bite taken on it... He looked with utter fury to the Shaman.
  17.
  18. Indeed, Rivalry was a great way to push each other further on. But he missed the fact that Katzan aimed not to push each other further on, and only to push him above the other one. No matter the cost, no matter what it took.
  19.
  20. And unfortunately, while he saw himself as the savior of Atl... He saw Imra'el now as someone who could potentially stop him from doing as he wished. This restraint in control... He couldn't bear having it.
  21.
  22. He slowly rose back up, bleeding in diverse spots, healed by a glimpse of his golden aura. He looked towards Imra'el, before the yellow irises glimpsed down towards the bracelet at his left arm...
  23.
  24. And like that, ignoring the presence of the Tyrium against his mana circuits, Katzan tugged on it. Violently. The spikes and everything else turned to hurt him, causing him to bleed even more, but he was decided.
  25.
  26. He would get this out. "Hold... On... Once I get MY ARM BACK... I'm going to..." He muttered, tugging violently onto the bleeding arm through the bracelet.
  27. (Katzan Xizoh)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [20:50] Imra'el says, "Do not perceive me as your adversary, Katzan."
  31. [20:50] Imra'el says, "You are my brother. I look up for you, and I hope you do the same to me."
  32. [20:51] Imra'el look at himself, still on fire. At this point, his spell was the only thing between him and the intense pain that would come from all that burning.
  33. (Imra'el)
  34. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  35.
  36. [20:52] Imra'el says, "You do not need to show you are superior to me. This tiny distance between us is but a matter of time."
  37. [20:52] Imra'el says, "Do not slow down, and you'll have what you wish."
  38. [20:52] Imra'el look at his back, at the two naguals.
  39. (Imra'el)
  40. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  41.
  42. [20:52] Imra'el says, "As for you, you should talk to Katzan on that regard as well. This is his place."
  43. [20:53] Imra'el says, "Once you choose either the place or the spot you wish."
  44. [20:54] Imra'el says, "There are two houses currently occupied: Mugil's workshop, the biggest house southwest from here, and the largest house, south of our temple."
  45. [20:55] Imra'el says, "The former school might become something else for the whole tribe in a near future. Me and Katzan might discuss that later."
  46. [20:56] Zabo gives a rather nervous-ish smile, nodding at her though. "Ya...I'd rather have you lying down in a more quite spot..." he looked to Imra'el and Katzan then, figuring they'd say what was open.
  47. (Zabo)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49.
  50. [20:56] Katzan ignored whatever Imra'el said. He was too concentrated trying to pry off his own arm from the bracelet, even if it was nigh impossible to get an anti-magic restraint away from himself. Obviously, this had painful consequences: There was more and more blood, as he tugged harder and harder on the bracelet.
  51.
  52. "I... Just... WANT THIS OFF. FUCK." He continued pulling on it, until the flesh around his shoulder started tearing off. In his mind, the defeat resonated, his flames only growing stronger and stronger as his hatred intensified.
  53.
  54. He kept muttering. "This... Fucking thing... It's the only reason why I lost..." He kept speaking, tugging onto the arm furiously. Of course, he wouldn't stop there. His mind was already analyzing the fight, seeking for where Imra'el managed to simply outpower him.
  55.
  56. For there was no way that someone would beat Katzan without cheating.
  57.
  58. In any case, he kept tugging on the bracelet. As violently as he could, blood erupting from wherever his flesh seemed to give in and part. If he kept going on like that, with the pain nullified by his own aura... Perhaps he would tear off his own arm.
  59. (Katzan Xizoh)
  60. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  61.
  62. [20:56] Imra'el says, "There's an abode south of here, belonged to a brother and they say-"
  63. [20:59] Teuicui waddles off with Zabo to look for a home, though she does glance every so oftain as she's making her exit, at the chieftain basically trying to seperate himself from the anti magic restraint, by whatever means he could
  64. (Teuicui)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [21:02] The dryad hears his Chieftan muttering and looks at him. Seeing him in such a poor state almost made the shaman walk and try to help him, but he knew how much of a bad idea that would be. Katzan was being consumed by pride, and he would definitely not rest until he defeated Imra'el.
  68.
  69. Good. A reason for him to keep moving foward, to not rest and let his overconfidence take him in a battlefield. Unlike the dead god Xomac, Katzan was well aware of his mortality for now - Imra'el was it's name.
  70. (Imra'el)
  71. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  72.
  73. [21:02] Imra'el says, ". . ."
  74. [21:04] Imra'el says, "Brother."
  75. [21:04] Imra'el says, "You'll need that arm."
  76. [21:04] Katzan Xizoh says, "I'll need NOTHING."
  77. [21:04] Imra'el says, "Give this bracelet time, and it'll wear off."
  78. [21:04] Katzan Xizoh says, "This FUCKING..."
  79. [21:10] Katzan looked up towards Imra'el, still tugging on the bracelet. It pained him to do so, but the greyish flames surrounded wherever they could, the blood flow only growing stronger and stronger. If he wasn't a magi, this definitely would be a terrible sign.
  80.
  81. However, unlike a magi... He was unlimited. He saw in that bracelet a failure. He saw in the removal of his own arm a solution to everything that could be wrong with himself, and an end to his failures, even if that was wrong and probably for the worse.
  82.
  83. He was definitely not going to stop. A simple defeat was really enough to break him, as many have witnessed. This time, it was that cursed bracelet that damned him into doing that.
  84. (Katzan Xizoh)
  85. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  86.
  87. [21:22] Imra'el says, ". . ."
  88. [21:23] The dryad pays attention to him, looking for any minute he'd let his guard down - which would likely happen at any second...
  89.
  90.
  91. NOW!
  92.
  93. A vine suddenly emerges from the ground, as thick as a human's torso, binding the Chieftan with brute force. Shall he shake and scream, the shaman would simply ignore that. He would slowly lift him up and tighting up his Chieftan, carefully watching the moment he'll pass out. The second Katzan loses his consciousness, Imra'el carefully ease up the bind and grabs him with another vine, carrying him out of the Blood Pit. He would, of course, look carefully to ensure no one would see that.
  94. (Imra'el)
  95. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  96.
  97. [21:26] Imra'el says, "Stop."
  98. [21:26] Katzan Xizoh says, "LET ME-- AGH."
  99. [21:34] * You have been awarded 0.75 Roleplay Points! *
  100. [21:39] Katzan's flames manage to eat away at Imra'el's vines, preventing himself from going unconscious. Unfortunately for the chieftain of Atl, his ideal of having been defeated was still outrageous by himself. He felt the vines getting away, and soon enough, he used his very flames to force Imra'el away.
  101.
  102. He failed to knock out the Atl chieftain. And like that, Katzan kept tugging on the bracelet at his arm. And like that, as Imra'el was thrown down to the ground, in the brief moments that he couldn't react...
  103.
  104. Katzan ripped off his own arm. He grit his teeth, holding back a muffled scream, perhaps, one that couldn't be contained by his own aura of nullification. It stopped him from feeling pain, however... It was nearly not enough.
  105.
  106. With all the blood vessels broken, Katzan's arm started bleeding like hell. It soaked the floor of the blood pit, turning it into... Quite the literal meaning, actually. A pit, filled with blood. The chieftain's blood.
  107.
  108. His own regenerative magic worked its way, keeping him from bleeding out, at least, but it still stood like that. He held the bracelet in one hand, the bleeding, broken arm being sustained by it. And yet... He seemed glad. He let out a slight cackle, seeing the arm in his own hand as it was emptied.
  109.
  110. "Finally... This..." He bit his lower lip, the greyish mass of occult approaching his head as to keep him from feeling all the pain resonating through his body. "This is off... I can fight..."
  111.
  112. He then looked towards Imra'el. "Now, Imra'el... I--"
  113.
  114. And like that, he looked towards Amoxtli, who just entered the arena. "Ugh. We'll continue later."
  115. (Katzan Xizoh)
  116. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  117. This time, things did not go expected. The shaman's expectations over the Chieftan have proven true enough: they were pretty even at this point, as now Katzan managed to put Imra'el down. He of course, stood up quickly as the dryad was well aware of what a Pride magi with his ego hurt could do, and then he sees the Chieftan's arm falling off the ground.
  118.
  119. He shakes his head, in denial, and then looks at Katzan as Amoxtli arrives. He understands that their sister's entrance in the Pit had probably stopped their battle on going through more dangerous levels, and somehow that was a relief. Atl was in no stance to spare a warrior, let alone either their Chieftan or their shaman.
  120.
  121. He glances at his sister, and then at his Chieftan, expecting him to say something.
  122. (Imra'el)
  123.
  124.
  125. Imra'el says, ". . ."
  126.
  127.
  128.
  129.
  130. You have received an INJURY:
  131.
  132. Name: "Ripped off arm"
  133.
  134. Desc: Katzan has ripped off his own arm in a huge outburst of his own pride, in order to get rid of an anti-magic bracelet that he thought was keeping his skills down.
  135.
  136. Inflictor: Prego
  137.
  138. Class: PERMANENT
  139.
  140. Severity: MODERATE (-20 Vit)
  141.
  142.
  143.
  144. Katzan's arm socket was now a gory mess of a broken bone, the ligaments unstrapped and ripped to shreds as the blood kept falling down, the last of the veins closing around his shoulder.
  145.
  146. However, on his arm... Bones were broken, unnoticed before because of the pain dampening provided by his own greyish flames around his body, broken by the constant struggling. His forearm wasn't even attached correctly to the elbow anymore, broken in two different parts, although his bone from the elbow up was pretty much whole, except for a small little stub who remained within his shoulder, now covered by the shirt.
  147.
  148. He looked down to the bloody mess under him, a sordid smile on his face. Perhaps this was realization, to see his own arm being torn off by his very brute force methods... Well, this was something else. He felt great that he was able to muster his own will to bring himself to do this, to destroy what kept him back.
  149.
  150. Even if it cost him an arm, he was willing to go great lengths. So, standing like that, blood still oozing from the crushed, twisted and broken arm in his hands, he asked.
  151.
  152. "What brings you here, Amoxtli?" His voice was carried with... An unusually chipper tone of cheeriness. Only having one emotion laid bare was rare for him, that one being happiness? This was rarer.
  153. (Katzan Xizoh)
  154.
  155. Imra'el looks at Amoxtli as well. Would she look at him, the dryad would simply nod, greeting her.
  156. (Imra'el)
  157.
  158. If Amoxtli could squint, she'd definitely be squinting. Or, she probably was, it was just the mere fact the visor that was over her eyes hide them. A corner of her mouth would twitch as she'd look from Imra'el, to Katzan, to Imra'el, then Katzan again.
  159.
  160. "...Chieftain, did yah get fuckin' drugged again?" ...an important question. Her attention then turned towards Imra'el, nodding in response. "Greetin's, Imra'el."
  161.
  162. She'd then raise a hand to rub her face, clearly questioning the situation.
  163. (Amoxtli)
  164.
  165. Katzan looked down at his arm. The gory mess, almost... Ironic. He felt like throwing it out to Amoxtli, kind of like a bone for her to gnaw on, but this time? He felt like he had to show this to someone else. To the person who inflicted this curse upon him, to the person who condemned him to use this bracelet.
  166.
  167. To show them that he bested them. "I did what I needed to do, Amoxtli." He lifted the arm high up, the bracelet still holding it tight as his loose hand was pressed against the bracelet.
  168.
  169. "This was holding me back. I was already not using this arm... And now, I don't have to bear with the extra weight." Of course, would he ever do something that he thought to be wrong in any case? Obviously not. He was determined, that even after all that, he had more than great reasons to get the bracelet out.
  170.
  171. "And if you think I was going to fight with one of these... I wasn't. Not giving up my own life like that. Not giving up my own TRIBE like that." He said, lowering his arm once again. And like that, while it still brushed against the floor, holding one hand with the other, he started walking towards the upper part of the arena, stopping right by Amoxtli's side.
  172.
  173. "This? This just means I'll have no weakness like that now. Nothing that I shouldn't expect will be waiting for me." He nodded, the neutral tone returning to his voice as the greyish flames still focused around his head. Perhaps it was still hurting.
  174. (Katzan Xizoh)
  175.
  176.
  177. Imra'el says, ". . ."
  178. Imra'el merely blinks, showing not much of a reaction. He had his worries, of course, but his trust in the spirits was far above this. If they wanted Katzan to lead, so they'd do. If he'd go through the wrong path, the spirits would handle that like they have handled those that came before. He begins to walk away.
  179. (Imra'el)
  180.
  181.
  182. Amoxtli says, "..I honestly don't know what ta' say."
  183.
  184. Imra'el says, "There's not much to say, sister."
  185.
  186. Imra'el says, "Katzan is pushing himself over his own limits."
  187.
  188. Amoxtli says, "..I suppose that is true, yes."
  189.
  190. Katzan Xizoh says, "I am pushing myself under my own limits."
  191.
  192. Katzan Xizoh says, "And even if I am one to be limited..."
  193.
  194. Katzan Xizoh says, "Limits are meant to be broken."
  195.
  196. Imra'el says, "May you grow from this, brother. I trust your judgement."
  197.
  198. Amoxtli says, "..yah could've just waited for it ta' run outta power, honestly."
  199.
  200. Amoxtli says, "Mythril limbs ain't fun."
  201.
  202. Katzan Xizoh asks, "Amoxtli, do you think I have TIME?"
  203.
  204. Imra'el says, "I told him that."
  205.
  206. Amoxtli says, "..I 'ad time."
  207.
  208. Imra'el says, "Brother, you might have to close that hole."
  209.
  210. Katzan Xizoh says, "Well, I'm on the other end of the protection of an archon."
  211.
  212. Imra'el says, "Before you bleed out, that is."
  213.
  214. Katzan Xizoh says, "It's closed, Imra'el."
  215.
  216. Katzan Xizoh says, "I'm not going to be affected."
  217. Imra'el looks at the opening, and the Chieftan was right - nothing coming out of it, really. It seems the shaman had underestimated the power of the Pride.
  218. (Imra'el)
  219.
  220.
  221. Imra'el says, "I see."
  222.
  223. Imra'el says, ". . ."
  224.
  225. Katzan Xizoh says, "I am way above these worldly wounds."
  226.
  227. Katzan Xizoh says, "A Strigoi can't have this kind of thing holding him back."
  228.
  229. Katzan Xizoh says, "And I -will- become one."
  230.
  231. Imra'el says, "I see..."
  232.
  233. Amoxtli says, "..."
  234.
  235. Imra'el says, "This would be good for our people."
  236.
  237. Katzan Xizoh says, "Fret not, Imra'el. I always get what I want."
  238.
  239. Katzan Xizoh says, "Amoxtli."
  240. Katzan turns around, holding the arm by the bracelet. He raises it towards Amoxtli, the remainders of the blood that was still stored inside leaving from it, and soon enough, he voices his question.
  241.
  242. "You think I should come with that to Crafthold already, or you think it's a better idea for you to take it there?"
  243. (Katzan Xizoh)
