Midna Dive into Lakebed Temple for Wii 100%

Lake Hylia Midna Dive without Iron Boots (To Enter Lakebed Temple)

The current dive spot documented on ZSR is very far from the dungeon entrance and requires the Iron Boots to give Link more horizontal movement and less vertical movement. Since the current Wii 100% Route does not have Iron Boots until after the Zora Armor is obtained, and getting the Lakebed Ooccoo is faster than using the Snowpeak Ooccoo, a Midna Dive to enter Lakebed without Iron Boots is required. This alternative dive spot is slower due to setup time, but allows us to enter Lakebed without Iron Boots, crucial for the 100% route as the KB1 trigger cannot be skipped during Telma Escort (required to get Zora Armor) and the KB1 fight is used to manipulate the Day/Night cycle after Midna's Desperate Hour.



Jump off Great Bridge of Hylia (as wolf is optimal for movement speed)
Dash to Cannon House
Pick up a pot
Carry the pot to the cliff very close to the dungeon entrance (past the kargarok fight area, which won't trigger as you haven't talked to Fyer yet)

There's water to your left, a small cliff seperating water from land, land, another cliff to your right seperating low land from high land, and higher land above that. In front of you is the two cliffs converging to a point, something like this:

Near the point where the two cliffs converge is the dive spot.

Midna Dive (as Human), estimate about 1s dive length.
Quick turn around in water (else you fall out of the water and void out)
Float up to the dungeon entrance; try and aim for the loading zone.
Once inside Lakebed, savewarp as normal to skip the underwater corridor.

If you can't see the dungeon entrance when you turn around, you dove too deep.
If you overshoot the dungeon entrance, you didn't dive deep enough.
If you void out, you didn't turn Link around in the water fast enough.
If you get stuck in the tunnel, your aim was off.

It's not the easiest dive, but it makes skipping the Iron Boots until after Zora Armor possible.
