Reasoning: With Shallot expanding his horizons with his current fighting style, it is only natural for him to seek to progress himself further. With countless battles being experienced, he's come to push himself that much harder when battling an untold amount of aliens that festered within the caverns. Having battled intensely with them, it was enough of a wake up call for him to continue pushing himself, despite his power bursting from his near death experiences. He's witnessed his comrades and the like steadily growing in power, and with his rivals growing exponentially in power, his inspiration lays in continuing to evolve as only a Saiyan can.
