Appearance: Tall and regal at 6'0" even, one would be forgiven for thinking he was a painting come to life, more akin to a sea god rising from the depths than the scabbed-up little kid running amok on the docks he was at a young age. A lifetime of swimming has kept his body toned with a defined chest, broad shoulders, and long limbs that make every movement one of... Well, grace. His defining feature is his long, dark hair that he often wears loose, framing the severe lines of his face, high cheekbones, and thick brows set atop dark brown eyes. His expressions do little to soften the harsh impression as he's far from quick to crack a smile, but when he stands to benefit or wants to look good for the camera, his smile could stop hearts.
Personality: In a word: Bitch. In a few more words that are a little more flattering: Confidence personified, utterly self-assured in himself, his abilities, and his place in the world. Kit has no room in his head for doubt; his ego takes up all the necessary space and anybody stupid enough to suggest he's not god's gift to the world would do well to remember he can spear a fish from 30 paces away. His winning strategy for coming to grips with what he endured is not to think about it, never acknowledge it, and lash out at anybody who suggests he should undergo some introspection. To onlookers, he's magnetic, too wrapped up in himself to see anyone else as a proper threat, but the reality is that his poise is affected and his confidence is teetering on a knife's edge at all times; one push in the wrong direction and he'll self-destruct.

History: From the outset, Kit was a free spirit, tearing off into parts unknown to find and use whatever he could. Endless questions gave rise to endless attempts to take on jobs far too difficult for a child his age, but this didn't stop him.

His biggest strength growing up was that failure didn't scare him, and whether it was scampering off to the coves or contests on who could tie fishing knots the fastest, if there was a wall in front of him, Kit would throw himself at it until he brought the thing down. This competitive nature was tempered by his desire to share his findings with his peers and teach them everything he knew, driven by altruism and inquisitiveness over superiority.

This changed when he was all of ten years old, his parents were lost in a boating accident, and the only thing standing in the way of him and an education as a career was gone. His new home was ruthless about preparing him for the Hunger Games, drilling him day and night on life-saving techniques, and restricting his activities to eat, sleep, train. There was no more joy in discovery, no more learning for the sake of it, everything had a purpose and Nikita was reforged from an explorer into a weapon.

When the time came for him to volunteer at 17, he didn't hesitate. His first kill in the Arena was followed by as much privacy as he could find to vomit, cry, and carry on. After that, he made it look effortless to butcher his competition, to secure his position as winner of the games, and to embody the ideal victor as an example for the children of his District to follow.

There's no way he hates himself for this even a little bit, nope, not at all.
Other: Brutal with a blade, as he's been skinning and gutting fish his whole life, also handy with a spear. His spatial awareness and accuracy is his selling point over strength or stamina; he's precise with his strikes and technically impressive rather than a natural powerhouse. One of his sponsors gifted him with a trident "ironically" that he now keeps hung upon his wall. His arena was an underground cavern riddled with dead ends, flooded areas, and precious few light sources. As a result, total darkness unnerves him and he despises closed spaces.
