  1. Rationale:
  2.
  3. House-up and House-down are already associated with toolbar scrolling. Based on ., observations, users frequently "allocate" particular slots in the toolbar to particular iteRS. Users also tend to organize inventory slots into colunns of either replacenent iteRS or alternative iteRS. The action of .oving iteRS down fro. inventory into the tool bar and vice versa is one that occurs frequently. Users often perfor. this action to co.,lete a single task only to reverse the action i •• 􀀾diately after. Each tine the action is perforned, the user .ust enter the inventory screen and co.,lete a series of drag and drops which can interrupt the flow of the gane.

  5. Counter-Rationale:
  6.
  7. Interrupting the flow of the ga.e to .anage inventory creates an interesting dyna.tc, especially during perilous situations.
  8.
  9. Counter-Counter-Rationale:
  10.
  11. The ratio of perilous circumstances us task based circumstances where performing this type of inuentory management is required is heauily skewed towards the task side. While in the process of trying to achieue something, inuentory management of this type is more of an annoyance than it is a challenge. In either case, the column-scrolling feature described here adds (quite literrally) another dimension to inuentory management and entirely new opportunity for game mastery that could surplant (I think that's a word) any of the game dynamics lost in the process,
  12.
  13. Did any of that make sense?
  14.
  15. (also, aggregate time and productiuity sauings en masse)
