  1. [03:45] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Is Yani around here?"
  2. [03:45] Dun Task says, "Yani was here."
  3. [03:45] Dun Task says, "There he is."
  4. [03:45] Xirden Zak asks, "See?"
  5. [03:45] Gwyn says, "Who are you."
  6. [03:45] Xirden Zak says, "I was right."
  7. [03:45] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Yani, did you grab some coins from-"
  8. [03:45] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Thank you."
  9. [03:45] Yani orn Task says, "Yes."
  10. [03:45] {Item} Picked up a bag of 1730 dropped by Yani orn Task.
  11. [03:45] Yani orn Task says, "There you go cousin."
  12. [03:45] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Thank you, cousin."
  13. [03:45] Yani orn Task says, "Stay strong, king."
  14. [03:45] Nox says, "What a dirty thief."
  15. [03:46] Dun Task says, "Truly."
  16. [03:46] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I am Romani cos Montclaire, and just visiting."
  17. [03:46] Gwyn asks, "From where?"
  18. [03:46] Dun Task says, "Oh."
  19. [03:46] Nox says, "I should smack his head with my gun."
  20. [03:46] Dun Task says, "Your grandfather was my best friend."
  21. [03:46] Dun Task says, "Neat."
  22. [03:46] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Orsona. And it's fine, Nox. Sometimes cousins take cousins money."
  23. [03:46] Gwyn says, "Osrona."
  24. [03:46] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Yes."
  25. [03:47] Nox says, "Hmm... "
  26. [03:50] The walking stick of the figure; easily seven and a half feet, would smash itself upon the ground below; sending a minor tremor outwards. The immediate area surrounding the figure can be seen heating, if ever slowly; the heat waves radiating from their form melting the snowflakes that passively fell upon Theria; turning them into droplets of rain that instantly boil at the touch of the figure's armor.
  27.
  28. Golden wings; that of a Drakanite, splay out; equally as wide as their figure were tall. A small glance is given to Rinn, before returning their stare back to the duo.
  29.
  30. "They're from Osrona, Rinn."
  31.
  32. A pause.
  33.
  34. "On what merit and cause do you travel to Theria for, exactly...?"
  35. (Gwyn)
  36. [03:51] Yani simply hoisted his katana out, only letting it rest between Romani and Gwyn entirely.
  37.
  38. "You hurt my family, you disrespect me. And when you disrespect me, I consider you unredeemable."
  39.
  40. "They walk away. They don't agree with Osrona's horrible decree."
  41.
  42. His voice got deeper, and his eyes got sharper. "There are innocent."
  43. (Yani orn Task)
  44. [03:51] Rinn exclaims, "... I think one of them is a messenger. Dunno about the other!"
  45. [03:51] Dun Task says, "Yes. Do not eat this one. They are under my protection."
  46. [03:51] Dun Task says, "I owe a debt to Valero, I won't let his grand kid be mugged."
  47. [03:51] Dun Task says, "Or I will reverse mug your life."
  48. [03:51] Rinn says, "Reverse life is death,"
  49. [03:51] Dun Task says, "No food for a week acolyte."
  50. [03:51] Yani orn Task says, "Reverse life is un-life; never dying, never born."
  51. [03:51] Yani orn Task says, "Just."
  52. [03:51] Dun Task says, "Starting tomorrow."
  53. [03:52] Yani orn Task says, "Nonexsistnat."
  54. [03:52] Scarlett Kurokaiyo says, "..."
  55. [03:52] The other man was much taller then Romani. The pair of blue and gold eyes would stare towards them in silence. Arms, after picking up the sack of gold that had been given to him, returned to behind their back as the man dressed in finer let out an exhale.
  56.
  57. "I was visiting because my money was in Yani's chest. I believe he might have taken it due to thinking it was his, and I needed to make a purchase." The Noble said quickly, turning to stare towards the golden wings. There was a pursing of his lips.
  58.
  59. "White cloak. White wings." He mumbled, before shaking his head, and glancing towards Yani and Task.
  60.
  61. "Thank you, I appreciate it cousin and.. friend of my Grandfather?"
  62. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  63. [03:53] Was there going to be trouble?
  64.
  65. "Hmm... THEY? I am a courier, I do not live anywhere. So hold your tongue! It would be appreciated!" As for Romani? It seems a lot of people were already vouching for his safety, she didn't really need to do anything.
  66.
  67. Rinn already pointed that out though, was that a vouch for her? From the main lady herself? Something like that.
  68.
  69. "Heh!"
  70. (Nox)
  71. [03:55] He was just sitting in his chair for the most part, not really acknowledging what was going on --especially after Task stepped in to detail the situation.
  72.
  73. The most Sylas did was turn in his chair to watch what was going on before speaking.
  74. "If you're here to make a purchase, then do so and leave. I don't think lingering around is the best idea...there may be others returning from the outside who won't care about your relation to our Elder." he pointed out --after all, he was a nobleman from the enemy.
  75. (Sylas Sieghart)
  76. [03:57] Yani orn Task says, "Saving energy to keep Theria safe -- but I will enchant one good thing you want."
  77. [03:57] Task would take a thoughtful drag from his corncob pipe as he clicked his teeth together, etheric sockets falling upon Romani and Nox as he blew a cloud of minty smoke up towards the distant horizon. It was clear that he did not consider the policy of total war they would need to take to include those he was fond of, that much was obvious.
  78.
  79. "Yes, when I was a constable, your grandfather was a knight young Montclaire. We used to patrol the depths of Sudsbury with fist and blade, energy and cosmic magic, and fight crime into the wee hours of day. Before I left Osrona, anyhow."
  80.
  81. The timeless jester would nod, flipping a coin with his remaining, gauntlet laden arm as he hummed to himself in thought.
  82.
  83. "While I am present, I will allow no harm to come to you Romani. But you must understand the people of Theria are not great fans of Osrona after the warmongering they've put forth recently. Deicide isn't exactly good politics. Unless, of course, you've come here to see the other side of things?"
  84. (Dun Task)
  85. [03:58] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: So if they do attack me, do your best to stay safe ok?
  86. [03:59] Scarlett yawns..
  87. (Scarlett Kurokaiyo)
  88. [03:59] Yani orn Task says, "Better in black than blue."
  89. [03:59] Nox whispers: I'll shoot them, don't worry!
  90. [03:59] A small glance is given to the boy; silence touching there lips where words did not flow. No; their gaze found itself a far more interesting sight, the Katana of Yani.
  91.
  92. "You will put that Katana away, and never draw it on another one of our people again."
  93.
  94. Their words are spoken with malice; venom seeping from their tone. This entire situation were bittersweet upon the figures tongue, only offering a stare, now, to Romani.
  95.
  96. Nox were not a concern.
  97.
  98. "You walk, only for the sake of Elder Dun's favor. Make your business here quick, and then leave."
  99.
  100. Their gaze shifts back to Yani; staring daggers at the boy, silent until the other two figures had left; their gaze does not wane.
  101. (Gwyn)
  102. [04:02] "I will bring this Katana to anyone that dares to get in the way of family; I prioritize them over anything else," he said in a fury. "I have no issues with disarming anyone when it comes to family."
  103.
  104. "And, did you remember what happened to our dear boy when they attempted violence in the square? The near-fatal suplex by Rinn? I'm sure that you don't want that."
  105.
  106. The Katana flipped over in his hand before going back into the sheath, only pushing it in afterwards. "You can do it to anyone else -- any knight. However, when it comes to the following: Sparrow. Robin. Gallus. Romani. Ilsa. Kabal. Romani. And last, but not least, Percilies? They are to be treated fair, for they never harm unless they are attacked first."
  107.
  108. He nods at his cousin, only to go back to teaching. "Now, back to my lesson. Save travels, Romani."
  109. (Yani orn Task)
  110. [04:03] With Dun's word was her ire silent, but already it was wearing on her that Osronans had not gotten the memo of their own war and were still trying to strut around Theria.
  111.
  112. Woe as she is against violence for the sake of violence, but they might reach the point where examples need to be made for Theria to start being taken seriously.
  113.
  114. She would prefer it come to war, and victory, that that happens.
  115.
  116. Everyone else has got this for now. She idles, listening. Waiting. Preparing herself mentally for the time she really feels the first bite of this war.
  117. (Rinn)
  118. [04:03] Nox exclaims, "Thanks Elder Dun!"
  119. [04:03] Rinn says, "Take care."
  120. [04:03] Nox says, "Blue brings out my nails."
  121. [04:04] Dun Task says, "Go team."
  122. [04:04] Rinn says, "Blue looks great on my wings and it's definitely never ever changing"
  123. [04:04] Nox asks, "Thank-you! Dragon Lord of Theria... It's enjoyable seeing you again! Do you need anything delivering?"
  124. [04:05] For all the ones who seemed to be coming closer to him, Romani remained as he was. The noble placed his arms behind his back and let out a calm breath.
  125.
  126. "I did not come here for chaos. I came to both collect the money that my cousin took from me and also to see how my cousin was doing. I heard.. bad results. So I wanted to make sure he was ok. He looks so." A small nod is sent Yani's way before he let out another calming sigh.
  127.
  128. "It's interesting to know anyone who knew my grandfather is out here. I would have loved to say and talk to ask more about these patrols, but as you guys pointed out, I don't exactly appear welcome here. But neither do I intend to be marching with Orsona when it comes to Theria."
  129.
  130. "My qualms are with Witches. I am a Deacon of the church, and a nobleman first and foremost." He nodded. "But if not for the hostilies, I might have been willing to listen, if only for a little."
  131.
  132. He could sense the malice from Gwyn. But there is no weapon on him to even draw towards it, only the small shake of his head.
  133.
  134. "Yani, Thank you so much. I do appreciate all of this. And.. I hope that you are doing well over here. Do send letters and tell me how you are, if you would." He would pause, slightly, looking towards Dun.
  135.
  136. "MAy I ask a favor, actually?"
  137. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  138. [04:05] Rinn says, "... Uhhhhhh."
  139. [04:05] Rinn says, "Hm."
  140. [04:05] Rinn says, "If you're passing by Ilburg, and you see a white-haired Drakanite with very red wings. Tell him to come home."
  141. [04:05] Rinn says, "But don't go out of your way to send that message. Just pass it if it happens to be convenient."
  142. [04:06] Rinn throws up a thumbs up.
  143. (Rinn)
  144. [04:06] Rinn says, "I'll still pay, if you want."
  145. [04:06] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Magma magic, on that one, correct? I do hear that he's causing a bit of a ruckus south."
  146. [04:06] Rinn says, "Yeah. Magma."
  147. [04:06] Rinn says, "He messed up some dumb bitch Teraphim who tried to fight him."
  148. [04:06] Rinn says, "He's a cool dude."
  149. [04:06] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I saw. Ended up tending to the wound."
  150. [04:07] Rinn asks, "The brand?"
  151. [04:07] Romani cos Montclaire says, "The brand and the burns."
  152. [04:07] Rinn says, "Geh. She started it."
  153. [04:07] Dun Task says, "Yeah."
  154. [04:07] Dun Task says, "If you see that Terraphim."
  155. [04:07] Nox says, "It's fine! You don't have to."
  156. [04:07] Dun Task says, "They're a total criminal, beat'm up."
  157. [04:07] Nox says, "I do not mind doing it as a favor."
  158. [04:07] Rinn says, "She also probably executed, since a Rhoynish was murdered and branded the exact same way."
  159. [04:08] "Make haste."
  160.
  161. Those words are practically growled from the Exorcist drakanite, their gaze never departing the figure. Even as Yani's words were heard, they were not replied to. There were a certain, unbiased malice when it came to those of Osrona, who threatened those whom he loved most; his people.
  162.
  163. "This is not a social call. Osronan's are not welcome here."
  164.
  165. With that much said, they can be seen pacing north, setting themselves upon a stool; their stare never leaving the deacon.
  166. (Gwyn)
  167. [04:08] Nox says, "White-haired Drakanite, with fiery wings."
  168. [04:08] Nox says, "Locked into my brain."
  169. [04:08] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Think it was her?"
  170. [04:08] Rinn says, "Sure do."
  171. [04:08] Dun Task says, "Indeed."
  172. [04:08] Romani cos Montclaire says, "That would be unfortunate for her if proven true."
  173. [04:08] Dun Task says, "Why try to make it seem like a Therian effort? "
  174. [04:08] Rinn asks, "Get branded with Garljing, then just so happy to brand one of our allies with Garljing?"
  175. [04:08] Rinn says, "Most obtuse thing I've ever heard."
  176. [04:08] Dun Task says, "Indeed..."
  177. [04:08] Dun Task says, "Especially since why would we brand things meaninglessly with Garljjing."
  178. [04:08] Dun Task says, "He's a huge fucking dragon."
  179. [04:08] Dun Task says, "No brand would equal him."
  180. [04:08] Romani cos Montclaire says, "But yes, I wanted to ask, Dun or.. anyone who might be in charge."
  181. [04:08] Dun Task says, "Rinn here is in charge, I'm merely a wizened advisor."
  182. [04:08] Rinn says, "Yo."
  183. [04:08] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "I had a friend who was interested in visiting here. Would it be possible to get a note allowing them to come up here?"
  184. [04:08] Nox asks, "Rinn is great! A good lord... As you can see, right Romani?"
  185. [04:09] Gwyn says, "Who."
  186. [04:09] Rinn asks, "... What's his affiliation?"
  187. [04:09] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Rinn seems fair. She and Orsona."
  188. [04:09] Rinn says, "I don't want people who are going to be in this war up here."
  189. [04:09] Nox says, "I'm not in the war! Most likely running through it to deliver a letter..."
  190. [04:09] Rinn asks, "We're going to have a lot of itchy hands looking for fights with Osronans who are stepping out of line anywhere on the mountain, y'know?"
  191. [04:10] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I'll tell them such then. But they're one of the ones who are more intersted in seeing the outside world's opinion."
  192. [04:10] Rinn asks, "Are the Knight or faith?"
  193. [04:10] Rinn says, "Just answer me that."
  194. [04:10] Rinn says, "Or Nobility."
  195. [04:10] Gwyn says, "They're Osronan, Rinn. We shouldn't allow even a peasant, within our walls."
  196. [04:11] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Knight. but they're.. not exactly by choice, I think."
  197. [04:11] Rinn says, "Hey, hey. I've won Osronans to my side before..."
  198. [04:11] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "If I may come closer?"
  199. [04:11] Rinn says, "Yeah. C'mere."
  200. [04:12] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: One of the Rhoynish. I'm not sure if she wants that info too out there. But she did want to see up here.
  201. [04:12] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: She's one of hte names that Yani mentioned.
  202. [04:12] Rinn whispers: Ah. I'll, hmmm. I could probably give her a pass, then.
  203. [04:12] Rinn whispers: If she comes directly to me.
  204. [04:13] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Her name is Ilsa. And would you be fine if I got that on a note?
  205. [04:13] Rinn whispers: Mhm.
  206. [04:16] Rinn says, "... Aaaaaaall done."
  207. [04:16] "Try?" Flicking a thumb up across her maw, she just flashes those canines at them with a grin.
  208.
  209. Lowering herself down, she makes sure to tie the cloak around her legs like pants to keep her covered up even when upside down. Once that was done, she pressed her palms against the floor and lifted her body up. Being so small, it was pretty easy to balance on her hands upside down.
  210.
  211. "Part one!" She huffs, face going a little red. Before lowering down onto her head, and slowly removing her hands as she balances on it. A little wobbly, but wasn't that expected? "Part two!"
  212.
  213. But he didn't want her to wobble or move, right? So she does the final move, the finisher that'll leave them amazed. Her ears flex, pressing the tips against the floor and balancing herself out properly.
  214.
  215. Without calling out the final part, she crosses her arms over her chest in the upside down state. Ears used for balance, and face turning red due to the blood flowing to her head.
  216.
  217. Bakuhatsu-kō no kagayaku hoshi.
  218. Headstand...
  219. (Nox)
  220. [04:16] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Thank you. Rinn, I appreciate you."
  221. [04:16] Rinn exclaims, "No problem!"
  222. [04:16] Dun Task says, "Many do."
  223. [04:16] Dun Task says, "She's a good one."
  224. [04:16] Romani cos Montclaire says, "She is."
  225. [04:16] Dun Task says, "Were Osrona not trying to conquer my home, I'd show you around the place Romani."
  226. [04:16] Dun Task says, "Never too late to be on the right side of history."
  227. [04:17] Romani cos Montclaire says, "If Orsona were not trying to conquer your home, I would also like to see the area."
  228. [04:17] Dun Task asks, "You know what they used to call your grandfather kid?"
  229. [04:17] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Unfortunately, I am a Noble. I feel.. it's my duty to steer the King away from things such as violence on Theria when I can. I can't do that from afar."
  230. [04:17] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "I do not. What did they call him?"
  231. [04:17] Dun Task asks, "The pious. You wanna know why?"
  232. [04:18] Dun Task says, "Cause Valero never raised a blade against someone who didn't deserve it. "
  233. [04:18] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I hope to be the same, and one day be worthy of wielding my grandfather's blade."
  234. [04:18] Dun Task says, "He believed he was the prophet of Geist, and in truth, I believe he was."
  235. [04:19] Dun Task says, "Because he thought mundane wars like this over territory were despicable, and that the grand battle of the cosmos against evil was the true threat. "
  236. [04:19] Dun Task says, "The demons, the witches, he hated politics."
  237. [04:19] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Well said. That is why I have no intention to be part of this war. My focus is on the witches. The one that actually went after Nina."
  238. [04:20] Dun Task asks, "Right. You want my advice then kid?"
  239. [04:20] Dun Task asks, "Honestly and truly?"
  240. [04:20] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Sure."
  241. [04:20] Dun Task says, "I knew the Elysium coven."
  242. [04:20] Dun Task says, "Knew how they worked inside and out."
  243. [04:20] Dun Task says, "You're barking up the wrong tree with Ilburg, Myllenoris is playing the church like a damned fiddle."
  244. [04:20] Dun Task says, "Your threats aren't external. They're internal."
  245. [04:21] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Oh, I definately have had my doubts with it."
  246. [04:21] Dun Task says, "It's what they did in my time."
  247. [04:21] Dun Task says, "Steal bodies. Steal faces."
  248. [04:21] Dun Task says, "Manipulate."
  249. [04:21] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "If they know who the witch is?"
  250. [04:21] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Wouldn't they be putting a bounty on her name?"
  251. [04:21] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "not just claming 'she exists here'?"
  252. [04:21] Dun Task says, "They don't, nor have any of my visits to Ilburg gauged any occultism."
  253. [04:21] Dun Task says, "I'm quite familiar with it."
  254. [04:22] Dun Task says, "So what I reckon is this."
  255. [04:22] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I do understand reasons for warring against Illburg. But I think that the declared reason isn't truthful."
  256. [04:22] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Which greatly annoys me."
  257. [04:22] Dun Task says, "The knife eared queen? She sees a settlement to the south of her, and thinks "Wow, they might threaten us some day, let's make up a reason to destroy them.""
  258. [04:23] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Anyways, thank you for speaking with me. I hope that in the future we may be able to speak again, Task. But i do believe that mr. white wings want me to make myself scarce."
  259. [04:23] Dun Task says, "By all means lad. I'll be around until I die."
  260. [04:23] Gwyn says, "I do."
  261. [04:23] Romani cos Montclaire says, "And my thoughts are less.. 'they ight threaten me'"
  262. [04:23] Romani cos Montclaire says, "and more 'they've held me a knife point before and tried to kidnap me'."
  263. [04:24] Dun Task says, "Yes, the banditry part is completely accurate."
  264. [04:24] Dun Task says, "I too have been mugged, and so reverse mugged my muggers."
  265. [04:24] Dun Task says, "But."
  266. [04:24] Romani cos Montclaire says, "The banditry does need to be stopped. But it is not a holy war to do that."
  267. [04:24] Dun Task says, "Mugging is not occultism. And a war against banditry is not a holy war."
  268. [04:24] Dun Task says, "Exactly lad."
  269. [04:24] Dun Task says, "Exactly."
  270. [04:24] Dun Task asks, "When the church loses the faith of their people, who can they rely on?"
  271. [04:25] Dun Task says, "Be the change you want to see in this world, Valero lived the same way."
  272. [04:25] Dun Task says, "I know you will too."
  273. [04:25] Romani cos Montclaire says, "It's not a hard point to make. And I do understand that."
  274. [04:25] Romani cos Montclaire says, "The church needs to be truthful with it's people. They need to be a hope for them."
  275. [04:25] Dun Task says, "Exactly."
  276. [04:25] Dun Task asks, "If people think the church is being political instead of tending to the needs of the spirit?"
  277. [04:26] Dun Task says, "Then their spirits fade as well."
  278. [04:26] Dun Task says, "And that is sad."
  279. [04:26] Romani cos Montclaire says, "So if you leave the church to only people who would lie, it would lose that faith. And a city without faith is a painful thing."
  280. [04:26] Dun Task says, "Yes, I dealt with a similar moral struggle once."
  281. [04:26] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "So I can not leave. For who would tell the truth?"
  282. [04:26] "Now... To finish you."
  283.
  284. Again, hands press against the ground for a moment. And as she begins to move, she pauses. "Uh..." Her arms are weak, and she couldn't lift herself back up again. She was tired, so it didn't really help this situation.
  285.
  286. "R- Romani... Lift me up... I- It's time we go, right?"
  287.
  288. She wasn't going to admit that she was stuck in her headstand, which probably wouldn't look good. "I-I have to go! Haha... I have a business deal of drugs to conclude..."
  289.
  290. If Romani bothered to look over, she would point at her wrist to make it seem urgent. Even though it probably wasn't.

  292. [04:26] Dun Task says, "You know what I learned? If the foundations of an organization are rotten? Burn it down and start anew."
  293. [04:26] Dun Task says, "Let no one corrupt your faith."
  294. [04:26] Dun Task says, "Better a ruined temple in the wilderness with true piousness than a grandious, gold cathedral of lies."
  295. [04:26] Romani cos Montclaire says, ".. Maybe."
  296. [04:28] Lodged in a talk with Task, Romani suddenly hears his name called. Turning away, Romani would notice the girl being stuck in her handstand. He would walk over, holy magic starting to feel the air to dull pain as he would lightly go to help her up from the position.
  297.
  298. "That's true. We do have official work to get back to now that I can pay for it. Again, sorry for making the journey for it so long.. And Task, please do send letters. I enjoyed this talk."

  300. [04:32] Gwyn says, "..Nh."
  301. [04:32] Gwyn says, "Dun."
  302. [04:32] Gwyn says, "Walk with me to the Wycked Wyvern. I need to get used to this... Physical combat."
  303. [04:32] Dun Task says, "Hmm? Oh, Yani's a swordsman."
  304. [04:32] Dun Task says, "He can help."
  305. [04:33] Yani orn Task says, "I'll do a quick match."
  306. [04:33] Gwyn says, ". . ."
  307. [04:33] Yani orn Task says, "Then I am sleeping to conserve energy."
  308. [04:33] Gwyn says, "Very well."
  309. [04:33] Gwyn asks, "Sylas. Coming along?"
  310. [04:34] Being helped up was appreciated, even the use of holy magic to ease the pain on her skull. It didn't do much to help entirely, but she just laughs awkwardly while being picked up back to her feet.
  311.
  312. "Haha... Ouch." She expected to just be dragged off while upside down, but it seems he didn't intend to carry her away and rather just aiding her. But wasn't that to be expected from someone like Romani?
  313.
  314. "Appreciated!" Back on her feet, she just nods her head. Orchid hues looking down at the boy that had been standing on his head. "Damn... You win-- Only if you beat my record of a week! Yes... Standing on your head for a week."
  315.
  316. A lie, but she just smiles. "Good luck!" Turning to Romani, she was prepared to depart too. It was time to make some money.
