  1. Start: 3 am, Foreautumn 13, 401 GA

  3. The party does battle with the callers in darkness. During their battle, near when the final caller fell, they noticed the presence of two astral constructs. The Spider Queen followed the direction from whence they came, and found the unbodied jailor, who must have pursued them.

  5. Mira, The Spider Queen, Luna, Vasileios, and Alcaeus emerge victorious, taking the spoils of battle as their own.
  6.  
  7. After discussing their next course of action, the group decided to check on the jail, now that the jailor had presumably been dealt with.
  8.  
  9. They scouted ahead, and found the oozes and golem vacated from the premises, with vague hints they fled inside the force-walled area.
  10.  
  11. With their newly acquired key, the party decided to question the prisoners, leaving Dramira for last.
  12.  
  13. The undead squid creature, which they determined to be one of the last vestiges of a once-great empire, they decided to slay. Vasileios harvested its brain for use in alchemy, and Luna properly disposed of it as one would a vampire. Perhaps it would be best this way, as the creature would be unable to feed, propagate, or serve in the Cult of the Unseen Eye's experiments.

  15. Vasileios studied the old blind gnoll. It seemed vaguely aware of him studying it, and seemed to find such a thing amusing. It sat, relatively inert. Once the party released it after determining it posed little, if any threat, they released it of its slave collar and followed it to the entrance of the underground layer. It sat, patiently waiting assistance. Perhaps this gnoll was blessed with some insight or intuition, or would lead them somewhere notable? They turned their attentions elsewhere for now.

  17. Mira approached the cell of a human, who identified herself as Fynwae Mithraenu. Fynwae was reluctant to share any information about herself, and seemed to calm down once Mira made it clear she meant her no harm, until she opened the door to her cell. Then Fynwae rushed her. Mira subdued her with her sleep hex, and probed her mind, as it is becoming tradition for Mira to do.

  19. Her homeland is Cormine, a great northern power. Fynwae was questioned about her father in a way that would not suggest the cult interrogated her. She genuinely does not know her father's occupation, other than he is a 'businessman'. She had a long lapse of memory, and woke up here. Her memory goes back 3 days in this cell. She seems educated, and knows of the Viszudar, and speaks the language, but considers it virtually impossible to be so far away than she expected. It is realized the Mithraenu are a Cormish crime family with heavy involvement in the Danaan war effort.

  21. Mira implanted memories of the archons and their deeds in Fynwae's mind. This seemed to do the trick, as she was significantly calmer once she woke up. Fynwae and Mira spoke more amicably, and she expressed confusion and wonder at the fact Luna appeared so large and was an Ashig, a creature Fynwae thought was of myth.

  23. Fynwae made it known she wanted to leave as quickly as possible, and the fact she was an academic of some kind.

  25. The party questioned Dramira, who appeared panicked. Once they talked her down, they spoke details of how she came to be in the predicament she found herself in. Dramira revealed she decided to defect to the cult, because she found the duergar refugee camp stifling and stagnating, and sought a better life for herself and her brother with them. She also mentioned several times how she sought power, and seemed to think, erroneously, this was the way to gain it. Since their last visit, Dramira gained several psionic tattoos. Vasileios voiced his displeasure at Dramira's decisions. Dramira revealed her brother, Bertulf had been taken away to be experimented on, and that is part of the reason she wound up in their jail.

  27. The party resolved to continue questioning Dramira and to devise a plan moving forward.

  29. The alignments of Dramira, Fynwae, and the mysterious gnoll were divined. Dramira's alignment had shifted towards chaos since their last meeting, and her alignment was chaotic evil. Fynwae Mithraenu's alignment was chaotic neutral, and the gnoll's alignment was neutral. Notably, the gnoll's alignment was not undetectable, it was neutral.
