  23.
  24. So... now my Conspiracy are officially immortals, instead of enjoying the pseudo-immortality that they've had up to this point. This is quite a thing, and quite honestly I'd be worried if it weren't for the matter of knowing they are unswervingly loyal to my cause.
  25.
  26. Well, usually. Occasionally Demona's just a giant pain in the neck, but it's part of her charm, really.
  27.
  28. In any event, you know what tends to completely throw a wrench in a setting where there only five Immortals? Adding another thousand-and-one of them. Suddenly being an immortal doesn't seem to be quite so exclusive a club, especially when the newest members of the club have abilities that outpace anything the locals can do. Really, they just kind of ran roughshod over everything when I left them to their own purposes; they backed up Demona and decided they'd conquer this world, too. I stayed on the sidelines, and it was a heck of a thing to watch.
  29.
  30. Even more of a thing when we'd talked and eventually I realized that they all had arguably scrambled memories, and I was the only constant in their lives. Sure, I'd worked on a memory backup for myself, but... I hadn't thought they they would end up swept into such a state of affairs. I resolved to fix that, when the future came.
  31.
  32. In any event, while they were running around bringing the world under Demona's heel, I elected to engage in a different project. While it took a few attempts to get it all right, hunting down the local 'bosses' with the magic and enhancement I'd gotten here was an interesting project. Especially as it kept a handful of important people from interfering, when I'd recruited them to join me on the hunt, and paid them more than handsomely in order to do so. In fact, I ended up paying them in a way none of them could get in this world; I unlocked their Aura and gave them copies of the book so they could learn to use it themselves.
  33.
  34. After that... well, everyone was kind enough to chip in and go for the Super Secret Dungeon. It was pretty entertaining, in a sense. False starts, and aborted journeys into its depths? There were a great many of them. But the only time limit I had to work with was the usual decade mark, and though the lowest levels of the dungeon were an incredible challenge that required exquisite skill and timing to handle, eventually they were dealt with.
  35.
  36. I left the majority of the rewards to the locals who had aided us, but I kept a few. It was a challenge I rarely get, and it was nice to be able to have it be somewhat on my own terms instead of it being akin to Lavos' rampant wickedness.
