- [12:48] Chaska Alder asks, "Eliphas? Are you alright dear?"
- [12:48] Eliphas Aegeus exclaims, "Aunty!"
- [12:48] Julian Alder asks, "Just alright?"
- [12:48] Eliphas Aegeus says, "Julian! Hey there."
- [12:48] Chaska smiles and nods to Julian.
- (Chaska Alder)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:48] Julian Alder exclaims, "Hi!"
- [12:48] Eliphas Aegeus exclaims, "Oh wait. I uh, forgot the thing I wanted to show you!"
- [12:48] Eliphas Aegeus says, "One second."
- [12:50] Eliphas Aegeus says, "I actually have a favor to ask of you."
- [12:50] Eliphas Aegeus asks, "Would you mind if we spoke inside?"
- [12:51] Chaska Alder asks, "Oh? Certainly? May Julian come or is this private?"
- [12:51] Eliphas Aegeus says, "Uh.. Well he's your son so I wouldn't mind them coming along. However, if you think what I'm about to offer is possible."
- [12:52] Eliphas Aegeus says, "I don't think that he should be around."
- [12:52] Julian Alder asks, "Eh?"
- [12:52] Eliphas Aegeus says, "Unless he's a medical prodigy."
- [12:52] Julian Alder exclaims, "I can be!"
- [12:53] Eliphas Aegeus says, "I'm going to ask if your mom can perform surgery on me."
- [12:53] Julian Alder asks, "Oooooooh what type?"
- [12:53] Eliphas Aegeus says, "Depends on what's possible. I want to bounce some ideas with her first."
- [12:53] Chaska Alder says, "Here, everyone in. We can talk there."
- [12:59] Reaching within his rob, Eliphas procured an ore-like gem to show it to Chaska and Julian Alder.
- "I received this from my grandfather Issac a while ago, and with Ael going through surgery to implant ifrit's eye into his own. Well I had the same idea with this!"
- Extending his hand, he offered the ore to Chaska.
- "If you look inside of it, it shows you your truest desires. Regardless of what you believe you want now, it'll show you the truth behind everything."
- "Like uncovering a veil to speak." he smiled.
- "Xuelian and I bounced back some ideas, but I was wondering what you could do. Since well.."
- He shrugged.
- "I was touched by white magic when I was inside of my mother's womb. It's why I was born with a weak constitution." blue hues shifted from the rock towards Chaska.
- "And why your magic. I was wondering if you'd have more of an expertise opinion of transplanting this into my eyes. Or into my mana circuits? Which ever idea you think is best."
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:59] {Item} You drop The Black Shard.
- [12:59] {Item} You picked up The Black Shard. Dropped by Eliphas Aegeus..
- [13:05] To hear Ael had already undergone his surgery was a bit disappointing to hear. It would have been excellent practice before her work implanting new eyes into the empty sockets of a friend. Still, she would have to live with the fact she simply wasn't free enough. Age had made her weary and she tended to mess out on much more.
- The ore made Chaska curious, her truest desires? She wasn't even aware of her truest desires and what they might be. She believed she wanted to be a great healer, the one who ended wars, but was that truly what she wanted? She would rather not know.
- "I recall that weakness. After your birth your mother asked me to heal you, but you were taken away from Osrona before I could." There were so many days she wished it was she and Lucas who had raised Eliphas and given him the love and guidance he deserved rather than Saga.
- The request was strange, to transplant the stone into the young man? Preferably the eyes? Chaska looked at the size of the stone in her hands and hummed softly.
- "It's far too big for a proper transfer, but if you would allow me to alter it?" The woman seemed to have quite the thought in her head. "Take smaller pieces from the whole. That way you would get your implant but also have the stone to use later if you wish."
- (Chaska Alder)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:12] A shy laugh escaped his lips at the mention of him being taken away from Osrona at a young age.
- "Yeah.. It was a struggle.. But Saga and Ethric helped me with their... unusually methods and now I'm better than ever."
- It was a tiring and draining course, including with at the runes that were pressed into him, the drugs he had to take to boost his physic, and the rigorous training that made him who he was.
- The process took years of hard work and dedication. But now he was here, stronger and more prepared then ever before.
- Silently, he had always thought how his life would've differed if he had stayed with Lucas and Chaska instead. Where he would be in his life, would it have been better? Or worse? He couldn't imagine it being worse, so... maybe if his father had entrusted his life to the Alders.
- It may have been better.
- Lazily, he clawed away at the space between them. Moving the verythought from his mind.
- "Yeah.. Well, I'm here now. So we can make up for lost time." he smiled, "And yes, do whatever you can do!"
- "I'm not sure how it'll affect my.. problem, or how it'll work with my spiritual eyes."
- As mana flowed towards his optical, a slight ethereal blue hue emerged.
- "I was hoping that if the surgery went successful. Perhaps my offspring's could benefit from it too."
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:26] The woman wasn't entirely convinced the duo could properly raise a child, but Eliphas seemed to turn out alright despite all his little quirks. So many quirks...
- Dallan had trusted either Lucas or Saga with the life of his son but without even a conversation the woman decided to take it upon herself to scoop the boy up and raise him as her own. She had held mild resentment over the years knowing Eliphas wouldn't be experiencing the warmth and nurturing love that he needed.
- With permission from the boy she moved over toward the forge, placing the shard down to begin fiddling with it. Clamping it into place she hummed softly, ideas coming to her mind as she conjured her cosmic magic in a refined beam. Almost like her nova ray, but so much smaller and condensed, used as the perfect 'blade' to slide through the stone.
- Carefully she carved down through the stone, two small cubes that were about the size of the human iris. Shifting the core thestone aside she directed her focus exclusively to the small pieces. Allowing her cosmic magic to fade she picked up the pieces and formed a ball of water magic, a small whirlpool in the ball that swirled and tumbled the two cubes. Between the speed and the turbulence they began to round, the magic continued until the two cubes formed into two pearl sized spheres.
- "Perfect..."
- She muttered more impressed with her own work before turning back to Eliphas showing him the tiny black orbs.
- "These, I will be implanting in place of your pupils. I'll use cosmic energy to attach them to your lens and they will regulate light in place of your pupils, but also due to their magical properties you will be able to regulate the amount of reality you perceive. It will be up to you to learn to use it and refine it. Sound like a plan?"
- (Chaska Alder)

- [13:28] {Item} You drop The Black Shard.
- [13:38] Eliphas's life with Saga was... unique at best.
- He was allowed a vast knowledge towards wayfinding and spiritmancy from a young age, and with his father being capable of performing the feat of spiritual sight itself. He eventually came to mimic their process as he had a keen sense for the other world. Just needed proper guidance, one that he only received with the help of several others. But mostly Xuelian Bei-Feng.
- Saga wasn't the most... loving parent there was. At first, he wondered if it was because he wasn't their biological son. But as he grew up, he slowly discovered that amongst all of the love that Saga had to give. They were just an extremely busy person, something that he grew to love as their determination always carried them to new heights, as well as moving forward for the betterment of Esshar. For eternia.
- Her strict love did have it's quirks, but it indeed lacked the compassion he would've received otherwise.
- "Thank you for doing this for me. It means a lot." he smiled softly, moving to take a step back. While beckoning Freiya to climb ontop of his shoulder to allow the Alder space.
- Sapphire hues watched as he watched Chaska get to work, turning towards the shard with interest as she moved to mold it into her liking.
- Time passed as Eliphas later found himself sitting on top of the bed with his legs dangling.
- A bead of sweat drew from his brow as the consequences of surgery suddenly felt surreal to him.
- He prepared himself for this transplant, full well knowing that if something wrong were to happen. It could penalize him for the rest of his life, and who would know what could happen to his offspring's then.
- However he trusted Chaska, as did his father before him. If anyone could complete such a task, it would been her.
- Moments passed on as she finally came back to him with two tiny orbs in the center of her palm, quickly offering himthe plan.
- Swallowing hard, he nodded his head in confirmation.
- "Sounds like a plan."
- Later, slipping off his shoes and placing them neatly beside the bed. He laid out flat ontop of the bed.
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:48] He seemed nervous, and that was completely understandable. It was a procedure relatively unheard of. Implanting new eyes. that was almost a common in Esshar, but to remove part of the eye and leave the rest in tact was a lot more tricky.
- When Eliphas laid down she quickly went to making a little mixture, a few numbing agents as well as relaxing herbs. She ground them together with mortar and pestle before offering him the odd smelling herbs to drink.
- "I need you conscious for the procedure so I can access the front of your eye, but this will keep you relaxed and prevent you from feeling anything." Chaska assured, waiting for him to consume the mix before continuing.
- Setting up allowed it to set in, his body would relax and his anxieties would ease. His body would feel heavy but he wouldn't be able to feel a thing. Setting all her tools aside she moved to wash her hands and ensure that the area was sterilized. Perfect.
- "Alright, I'm going to begin by removing your cornea." Chaska explained bringing the scalpel down toward his eye praying that he was relaxed enough he wouldn't flinch nor pull away. Considering the procedure she put a little extra numbing agent into the mix to keep his body lax.
- Her hands were incredibly steady, her breaths easy as the blade glided around the outside of the cornea, the first removed and placed in sterilized water to keep it hydrated before the second. His vision would blur at that point, perhaps making the procedure a bit less intimidating.
- "Make sure to keep your breathing steady Eliphas. Are you ready for the harder part?" She asked switching to a smaller pointed blade. "Now we will be removing the pupil. Are you ready? Tap your fingers if you can."
- (Chaska Alder)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:56] Nervous? No. Someone like him could never.. Right?
- Digits grabbed at the comforters of the bed as Chaska's words slowly relived his nerves.
- He gave her a nod before sitting up and taking the drink from her hands before pressing it against his lips.
- Feeling the concoction flowing down his throat. A numbing feeling moved throughout his body as he laid back to rest.
- His eyes were open, staring towards the ceiling as he listened to Chaska's words. This was detrimental, if either she or him messed up. The fault would come to him.
- Taking deep breaths, he slowly regulated himself. Calming himself as he eyed the scalpel being raised before his pupil. Slowly lowering towards his eye.
- He allowed for himself to be treated on. Surprisingly, not feeling much pain, if not any. He was relaxed, unwavering as they worked away.
- Nodding slightly, he continued to regulate his breath. Just hoping that everything will go as planned.
- Tap.
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:56] Aurora Alder says, "I'll get it"
- [14:06] The tap made her smile, allowing Chaska to continue working on Eliphas. Her new scalpel was shifted down toward his eye, working with precision to carve around the pupil and only the pupil. No damage was done to the iris nor the lens behind it. Magic was channeled through the tool, immediately healing the edges of the other parts of his eye leaving the empty socket within the eye.
- "Alright, I'm going to insert the stone into your eye now." She forewarned reaching over to get the sterilized orbs from her stand, placing them one by one into the sockets where his pupils belonged. With each one in place she closed her eyes and used a mix of cosmic and holy magic to infuse the black shards to the lens where they belonged.
- They would be awkward at first, it would take time to adjust but in the long run once he practiced with them enough he would do incredible things.
- Quickly she worked to replace the corneas on top of the new false pupils, using her magics again to fuse the screen of the eye make in place returning his full sight to him. Perhaps even more now.
- "How does it feel, Eliphas? Are you uncomfortable? Can you see?"
- (Chaska Alder)
- [17:49] Sasha decided to pay a visit to the Alder home. Entering inside she'd make her way through. "Momma, Daddy, Aurora, .. anyone home?" she rose her voice a bit in order to be heard through out the house.
- (Sasha arl Alder)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Eliphas Aegeus rolled a dice and it landed on: 6
- [18:21] Despite how frightening the procedure was, the concoction that Chaska made was helping immeansely. His body felt numb as the potion kicked in, relaxing his muscles as it became almost impossible to ball up his fist.
- He remained motionless, as his eye grew dry from the prolonged stare. However Chaska saw this coming and constantly hydrated them with drops as she continued to work along.
- Eliphas stared ahead, as much as he wanted to avoid the metallic utensil that fell towards his eye. He knew that he couldn't, despite the eerie feeling have having the blade cut through his conjunctiva. He remained steadfast, as he tried his best to keep still throughout the entire process. Regardless of his nerves exploding from within. Then again, he found most while trying to keep his eyes open.
- Surprisingly, it wasn't messy. Nor was blood spurting out of his sockets like he previously imagined, her work was clean and moved with grace. It was odd at first, but Chaska was delicate with her work ,despite how quickly she performed the task. It goes to show how many years and time she's put into the craft, to master it with such precision?
- He couldn't even begin to imagine the long days and nights she spent to get here. All he could do for her as of now, was be on his best behavior, and to thank her for all of their hard work!
- With the surgery finally coming to a close, he remembered the oddity of having his vision taken from him. Only for a invigorating feeling to replace his loss with the color around him coming to fruition once more.
- "I can.." he muttered, "I can see." he answered with a dry throat.
- "Water.." he asked for as his newly created eyes moved around his scenery. It was... Strange, different even.
- It took only but moments, but as Chaska cleared his view and placed away her items. His focus on the world around him blurred out.
- His heart quickened ashe panicked, wondering if failure had came. If the process was naught but a failure. But as seconds past on, his view flourished.
- The colors he saw before were something of the past, the world around him felt more vibrant than before. Bursting with colors as every minor detail that surrounded he was able to pick up on. If there was a painting that was slightly crocked, food that was kicked underneath a piece of furniture, everything became surreal.
- Then, his vision faded back to a blur as all of the colors in his eyes faded once more.
- Gritting his teeth, a hand moved to his head as his head pounded away at him. All of the information that he obtained, everything that he was able to see now.. Shutting his eyes, his mind erupted with pain as a groan escaped his lips.
- "Aaahh… Give me a... Uh minute or two." he replied with his hand pressed firm against his forehead.
- It was so much, so much information at once. He felt as if he was able to seethrough everything. To see past all of the odds and evens, to see things that he couldn't see before, along with being about to tell his exact location in space and time.
- Eliphas was just glad that he was still on the drug that Chaska made, beucase if not. He didn't think that he was going to be able to deal with the pain.
- One by one, he'd take his chances. Slowly looking around the house with his newly created eyes, only to take breaks every now and then until he eventually got the hang of it.
- "It's... It's amazing.. but all so much to take in at the same time." he uttered those very words vaguely, not being able to fully explain the very things that he was capable of seeing, of understanding.
- Every bit of it, perplexed him.
- Even the simplest of things, such as the bedsheet's fabric amazing him. It was almost like he was experiencing what it was for the first time, all over again.
- "I feel great now Miss Chaska." he thanked with a smile. "Your amazing you know... I knew that you'd be able to do it."
- Turning his head to the side, he looked up towards the Alder while his smile widened.
- "I owe you a great deal huh?"
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:36] When Eliphas requested water she quickly went to get him some, using small orbs of conjured water to hydrate the boy and take care of him. She did smile, smoothing his hair out and placing a kiss on his forehead adding the comfort to the care.
- "You did excellent Eliphas. Didn't even budge. The perfect patient." She praised wanting to compliment him.
- He did worry her with how he seemed to struggle at first, wondering if she had somehow failed. Had she? She thought she did everything correctly, then came the statement. Amazing? It had worked?
- "You owe me nothing Eliphas. I'm just happy to see you thriving. You should know that by now."
- (Chaska Alder)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:49] With a satisfying gulp, he felt hydrated once more.
- "Thank you..." he gasped as he slowly pushed himself to a stand. "It's.. definitely going to be a while before I completely get used to this." he smiled as the world around shift, creating a nuance of the spiritual and physical realm before his eyes.
- "Well, I couldn't just let you down." he offered as he hung his head low.
- The experience was something that he had never experienced before. Something new, now bringing him a joy that he was never able to feel before.
- "Of course, of course. But still. Thank you. You don't understand how much this means to me."
- Raising his head as he moved to stand from the bed, a scene played before them.
- One of him standing up with no issues as the conversation continued. Then another flash happened, a scene of him falling face forward, and then another.
- His hues glowed a soft blue as multiple scenarios played out before his very eyes. Possibly paths that he could take, a direction he could choose with an given certainty.
- But even as he grabbed upon one path, multiple of endings now played out as he struggled to stay on track of just one. And before he knew it, he grabbed a hold of the most genuine path. The one that he viewed before hand of him standing beside Chaska.
- It felt almost as an outer body experience. Being able to see tiny events playing out before his eyes, as if his mind was watching a reel of possibly chances in the near future. None of them being guaranteed, but showing him the possible out come that could happen.
- Eliphas's breathing quickened as he reached out to take a hold of Chaska's shoulder with one hand, almost as if he tried to ground himself in that moment in reality. Trying to separate what was real from what was a mere possibility.
- A illusion.
- "I.. I think I need to go take a rest... But over all?" his once distraught, confused expression faded as his smiled wickedly.
- "I feel better than ever before. Thank you Chaska."
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:06] "Take it slowly, Eliphas. I don't want to hear about you falling." Chaska chided, assisting him in standing. "I know it will take some time, but should you need anything let me know. Alright?"
- When he stood his vision shifting around slightly she could tell he was disoriented. Concern continued to rise as she steadied him, an arm around his waist as he slung his other arm around her shoulder.
- "Yes, please rest. Do you need help getting home?"
- (Chaska Alder)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:12] "Heh.. It may sound absurd to say this.." his grin grew wider as the possibilities that he saw before him became endless.
- "But yes, I'll let you know if I'll need anything from now on." he moved to adjust himself within Chaska's grasp. Slowly straightening himself before falling into her arms again with a laugh.
- "This is.. going to be interesting."
- His words lingered as the possibilities that he now saw before him were... Limitless.
- "I'll be fine, but I'll be heading off now. I won't learn how to use these eyes if I'm not using them constantly. Practice makes perfect after all."
- "Don't worry, I'll do well to take care of myself. I won't push it too far."
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- [19:16] Chaska Alder says, "Alright... Get home safe. I'll visit you soon."
- [19:16] Aurora Alder says, "Take care.. Mister Eliphas."
- [19:17] Eliphas Aegeus says, "Of course, I'll see you two later."
