- Following up a week later with progress check-in.
- On point 1. I talked to Emerge and they are happy to come give us a
- training about abuse 101.
- On point 2. The Exec committee and Paula are working on such a policy.
- We're also looking at "community codes of conduct" from various other
- organizations like Ubuntu, Mozilla, and Python.
- On points 3 through 5. I've had a conversation with Wikimedia who are
- wrestling with the problem of harassment between editors. Jointly, we're
- going to talk to CyberCivilRights soon. Further, I've started
- conversations with the Ada Initiative and CiviliNation. The latter two
- orgs are focused on online harassment and abuse. And Katie has a
- friend/neighbor who is interested in helping out as well.
- All of these orgs are skeptical of Tor, either because of their
- experience with abusers behind Tor, or direct experience with Tor
- community members. However, they're willing to continue talking in the
- early January.
- If conversations move beyond interest to actually trying to do
- something, we should create a small committee of 3 people and continue
- discussions.
