  1. Student Wellness Goals and Strategies
  2.
  3. My goal is, as succinctly as possible, to exercise more. However finding the time will be difficult so some creativity is required. Three target behaviors should be sufficient to achieve this, by breaking it down this way I can increase the chances of progress by being able to accomplish at least one per week even if I am busy.

  6. My family has membership to a health club called The Marina. There is a pool and exercise equipment I can use to burn fat. Burning fat is my priority, not bulking up. My body fat percentage is much too high to be healthy and a lot of the issues my parents have are due to weight and fat.

  9. Being more active normally. As it stands I sit in class and then drive to work to sit there too. Then I come home and sit around at a computer. My lifestyle is too sedentary. To make matters worse, I tend to eat when I am bored and of course I prefer fatty foods. A solution to this would be incorporating walking into my daily routine. This used to not be an issue whatsoever before I had a job and a car. Now however it is. Gone are the days of me walking to school and walking back. I genuinely believe this cut down on my weight gain. Once it stopped I gradually grew fatter. The trouble is finding where to stick it in. I think after work is the only sensible time as I simply don’t have the luxury of doing it before work or school. I could use it as a way to unwind after a busy day in addition to improving my health. Maintaining a casual level of activity is more important in my opinion than going to the gym every so often or even ever few days.

  11. Eating out less. It’s a vice that I very much enjoy, that being the issue. In addition to saving money, cutting down on eating out would greatly improve my diet. I should probably also take up shopping for myself and cooking, though again, time gets in the way of that. So I will stick to eating out less and maybe moving into actually constructing a healthy diet for myself. Without eating out I will still be fed, that is not an issue. The issue is how unhealthy and rich the food I eat is.
