Today is your 15th birthday, the day you've been waiting for. 15 years of life have been leading up to this day. Today you will start your adventure! No more following your dad around, picking fruit, shifting grain, wandering from city to village, village to city, [b]today, you are[/b]:

You can hear your father humming quietly as he cooks breakfast for the two of you, something special probably! Behind the familiar humming you can hear the cracking of the fire, the noise of birdsong and the rustling of leaves. It's going to be another fine day.

The music breaks as your father moves, momentarily distracted by something, [b]kicking through the[/b]:

You take this as your cue to get up, discarding the bedding and stretching in the warm sun.

Your dad has been getting more restless lately, that's why you're camped here and not safely in the little village where you grew up. Ostensibly, he insists he's trying to give you some survial skills, but you get the feeling he's looking for something.

But enough of that, it’s your birthday! You're grown up now! The sun has been up for hours, as has your dad probably, but if you just slipped away, he still wouldn't notice for a while, maybe even he expects it. Maybe he even thinks you've already gone.

You've been walking around for almost two weeks now and haven't seen anything terribly dangerous, what's the worst that could happen.
