- nodded along as Iko #2 began to its explanation of the technique. From the oddity of its name, to its single hand seal and execution. He took mental notes, brow furrowed the entire time. Then, the clone performed the technique.[1]
- Igo nodded, watching intently. His eyes narrowed as he stared. Then, he took a step forward and turned toward the pond. He brought his hands together, formed the ram seal, and then knelt, slapping his hand against the ground.[2]
- There was a gentle rumble as the ground split, and a river of mud surged forward into the pond.
- grinned. He'd a basic understanding of elemental clones already. He brought his hands together before him and focused on his chakra. He directed it into his mouth. There, he began to manipulate it.[3]
- He pressed in on the chakra from all sides, compacting it and hardening it until it took physical substance. When he'd felt confident in its shape, he took inhaled sharply. He spit the chakra out.[4]
- A glob of mud flew from his mouth that hit the ground with a splat. After a moment, the surface began to wriggle and churn, and then it rose up, taking a humanoid shape. It hardens, and then morphs into the spitting image of Igo.[5]
- Yogan, Igo frowns at the emotional display from the clones. His nods to them each as the other clone performs the Flying Stones jutsu. Shards of razor-sharp stone rise from the earth and zip toward the group, tearing them each to shreds.[6]
- When the clone stands, a look of mourning on his face, Igo reaches over and gives it a gentle pat on the shoulder.
- "It's alright, mate. They're in a better place," Igo says comfortingly, knowing Iko's religious views.
- He offers Iko's clone a smile, then turns to his own. With a nod, the clone turns and jobs a few feet away, then turns back around to face Igo. It nods one, and then Igo gives it a thumbs up. Then, he brings his hands together before him.[7]
- He slowly, meticulously performs each hand seal. This way, he can memorize their sequence. Then, he summons his chakra into his his palms. With a grin, he bends down and slaps the earth at his feet.[8]
- A shower of scattered rocks raise from the ground and zip toward the clone. It's eyes go wide, but it is shredded to bits a moment later. It collapses into a goopy puddle of mud.[9]
- Yogan, Igo nods, raising his torch and motioning for Somen to follow him a bit further into the ruin. He walks through a stone archway, making a left and then a right at a corner, and then continues for a little ways down a wide hall. On the left , at the end of the hall, is a large set of stairs that descends into a large pit of black sand and dirt.[10]
- He gathers a few torches and lights them, placing them along the walls of the arena. Soon, the arena glows orange, with light dancing because of the flicker of the flames.[11]
- "How's this?"
- Yogan, Igo nods, undoing the straps of his tanto and tossing it to the side. He'd draw a circle in the sand with his foot, and then sit at the center of it. He looks over at Somen, and points at the two entryways, both of which have large, thick stone doors.[12]
- "You should seal those n' make it so that only your sand can open them," he suggests, taking a meditative pose with his legs crossed and his hands resting, palms facing upwards, on his knees. He closes his eyes and takes a long, slow breath. Then, after a moment, his eyes fly open.[13]
- "Oh, and don't bother trying to use your sand to protect me. If I lose control, whatever happens to me is a lesson on why I need to learn how /not/ to lose control. Make sure no matter what, I can't touch you. Not even with my Jutsu."[14]
- nods, pushing himself off the ground. "Take your time, mate. We've got everything we need here," he says, pointing off to another corner. He'd forgot to mention he'd dragged a box of ration packs in with 2 old, worn, but comfortable looking bedrolls in.[15]
- As Somen retreated into his ball of black sand, Igo breathed in slowly through his nose. When he exhaled, he brought his hands up before his chest. They formed a seal that anyone close to, or who had fought against Igo before, would be familiar with. It was the trademark Scorch seal. Then, Igo would thrust both hands forward toogether with his left palm facing out before him and his right palm over the back of his left hand.[16]
- A wave of extreme pink-orange chakra would surge forward out of the air in front of him, throwing off a heat so intense that the temperature in the chamber would have raised quited a bit in a matter of seconds. As the wave crashed against the stone of the arena's wall, it disappates. The wall, however, is torched black and smoking.[17]
- wasted no time as the blast from his last jutsu disappeared against the stone. He brought his hands together again before, making the same seal. This time, Igo held a single hand out before him. Then, there was an audible, buzziing /schwfft/ sound.[18]
- A bolt of translucent pink energy shot out from his hand with incredible speed. It collided with a portion of the wall before him, and seemed to disappear. Then, almost instantaneously, the rock began to glow a bright red. It threw heat waves out, and began to vibrate violently from the energy created by the intense heat.[19]
- He grinned, watching the brick until the glow subsided and the vibrations finally came to an end. Then he turned back around as Somen called out to him, and nodded up at the sand user's third eye. He walked over to sit in the spot he'd encircled in the sand. There, he'd take one final breath, then sit.[20]
- He closed his eyes and assumed his meditative pose, same as he'd explained before with his hands resting on his knees with the palms facing skywards. After a few moments of mental preperation, his breathing began to slow, and he began to focus on his mind, letting his consciousness drift inward and down.[21]
- //Igo's hands had come together before him and he closed his eyes. Slowly, he performed six hand seals. As he did so, he focused on drawing his chakra into his hands. After a moment, his eyes opened. [22]
- He dropped to a knee and slammed his palms against the ground. There was a slight cracking sound, and then a slight rumble beneath his feet. When he looked up, he grinned. Shards of sharp stone and rock rocketed away toward the cliffside.[23]
- Some of the stones impaled the sheer rock face. Most of the others bounced off. The stone chipped away, sending earthen shrapnel and dust into the air. Igo stood, satisfied.[24]
- He brought his hands together and formed a meditation hand seal; for him it was the tiger seal. His eyes closed and he centered himself for a moment. His breathing became calm and steady. After a few long minutes, he opened his eyes, feeling refreshed.[25]
