1. Might as well begin one for Ashes of Arkham. Might do ones for other fanfics, but this one will be updated as chapters are added.
2.
3. First for the fic as a whole.
4. Action Girl: Azumi and Jessica.
5. All Webbed Up: Um...Spider Man is involved. Do you expect something else?
6. Alternative Character Interpretation: The Arkhamverse!Batman is noticeabley more brutal than his DCAU counterpart. However, this is more on the creator's part than ours.
7. Anti Hero: Spiderman is, as per usual, Type I, though it's not played that much. DCAU!Batman is a Type II. Azumi, Jessica, Arkham!Batman and to a degree Catwoman are Type IIIs.
8. Anti Villain: What Catwoman isn't as a Type III Anti Hero she is as a Type I of this.
9. Armor Is Useless: Played with. It's not always that great, but it does save those who have it from life-threatening injuries usually.
10. Bad Boss: Several, but Oswald "Penguin" Cobblepot is the most prominent.
11. Badass: Basically the entire protagonist ensemble, both canon and not.
12. Badass Abnormal: Scarecrow, as per normal now.
13. Badass Bookworm: Peter "Spider Man" Parker.
14. Badass Normal: DCAU!Batman, Arkhamverse!Batman, Arkhamverse!Catwoman, and Azumi Ian.
15. Batman Gambit: One is in action, yes, but it isn't by the Trope Namers. It's by Azumi, on top of more of a Gambit Pileup than the original game.
16. Building Swing: Jessica, Catwoman, the Batmen, and Spiderman all do this.
17. Caltrops: In Selina Kyle's arsenal, and shifts to be included in Jessica's as well.
18. Catgirl: Selina "Catwoman" Kyle and Jessica Mireu, in motif and literally respectively.
19. Classy Cat Burglar: Selina again.
20. Cool Sword: Wraith's high-frequency stun wakizashi, Talia al-Ghul's katana, and Jessica's Trench Blade rapier.
21. Crapsack World: When you're in the Arkhamverse, you know that, at minimum, you will end up with many more bruises than you are used to.
22. Dark Action Girl: Catwoman.
23. Deadpan Snarker: Many, from Alfred Pennyworth to A.L.F.R.E.D. to Arkhamverse!Batman to Azumi to Catwoman to Spiderman.
24. The Dreaded: The Batmen and Scarecrow at least.
25. Eccentric Mentor: Catwoman for Jess. It's downplayed, she she's not old nor foolish, but she does have her seduction quirk while she's trying to teach Jess.
26. Femme Fatale: Again Catwoman.
27. Funny Background Event: As per the game itself, the thug conversations play out this way.
28. Goggles Do Something Unusual: Detective Vision, Helmet Mounted Displays, VISR, and Thief Vision.
29. Healing Factor: To a weird degree, everyone. Health is awarded with EXP, so the better you fight, the more you heal faster. It's in the world mechanics, so Badass Normals are still Badass Normals.
30. Hey, it's That Voice!: In-universe. Kevin Conroy voices both Batmen, and Grey DeLisle voices both Catwoman and Azumi.
31. Jack Bauer Interrogation Technique: More or less by Azumi and the Batmen, though they don't actually give the pain, so the truthful answer is more justified as being out of fear rather than pain.
32. Le Parkour: How Azumi traverses the city, lacking any other methods.
33. Les Yay: Played for laughs. Catwoman teases Jessica about her looks, and Jessica has a hard time not looking at Selina's swinging behind.
34. Lighter And Softer: Than the game itself. Very, very slightly.
35. Massively Multiplayer Crossover: Of a sort. This is the most people working together on a fic, let along individual chapters, that has happened thus far.
36. Mr. Exposition: Michael Washington Lane, the Arkhamverse version of Azrael. Several others give exposition, but that is his main purpose. He remains a Mysterious Benefactor and Mysterious Watcher, however.
37. Noble Demon: Catwoman.
38. The Other Darrin: A meta example. Adri is writing for Sorin's Jessica in this, though what she's doing is in the canon from the point of this on.
39. Playing With Fire: Jess's magic is a mix of this and Light Em Up, though primarily this.
40. Race Against The Clock: Azumi and the Batmen are trying to find out what Protocol 10 is before it is too late.
41. Secret Identity: Aside from the normal ones from the DCU variants, we have "Wraith" being adopted for for the first time by Azumi.
42. Sexy Mentor: Catwoman for Jess, and proud of it.
43. She Fu: Catwoman's fighting style, combined with Dance Battler.
44. Spy Catsuit: Catwoman has one, which has many similarities to one that Azumi had to wear, triggering bad memories from her and Jess.
45. The Tease: Catwoman, to Jessica's chagrin.
46. Teeth Gritted Teamwork: Azumi's partnerships with Scarecrow and Jessica both.
47. The Password Is Always Swordfish: If there is a password, most times it will be rather obvious. This is sometimes lampshaded.
48. Troll: Edward "the Riddler" Nigma at your service.
49. Volleying Insults: Azumi and Scarecrow. Constantly.
50. Whip It Good: The cat girl duo, both a whip and bolas for both by the end.
51.
52. Prologue
53. Batman Cold Open: As per the opening of the game itself, though there are two in it this time.
54. Click Hello: The cliffhanger.
55. Embarrassing Nickname: "Catgirl" for Jessica, taking from the alias of the sidekick of Catwoman of New Earth of the DCU itself.
56. Fish Out of Water: Jessica, in a sense.
57. Lovely Angels/Sword and Sorcerer: Kyle and Mireu begin a variant of these kinds of partnerships here.
58. Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Catwoman isn't that alarmed by Jess's looks, and up-front says she probably should have expected that eventually. Granted, she's from the DCU, and is friends with a Plant Person.
59.
60. Chapter 1
61. Acid Pool: What Two-Face was going to drop Catwoman and Jess into.
62. Admiring The Abomination: In a sense inverted. Scarecrow is in awe of Batman's ability to beat the living crap out of people... like he had done to Crane himself. More than once.
63. Badass In Distress: Jessica and Catwoman, subjected to a Joker Jury at the hands of Two-Face. They break themselves out.
64. Black and White Insanity: Harvey "Two-Face" Dent himself.
65. Curb Stomp Battle: Batman vs. Two-Face's goons. It's barely even described.
66. Faux Affably Evil: Julian Gregory "Calendar Man" Day rather politely tells Azumi about how he strangled a woman on Valentine's Day. Charming.
67. Groin Attack: Twice from the cat girls.
68. The Man In The Mirror Talks Back: Two-Face's two halves are identified separately.
69. Numerical Motif: Dent and twos, as Crane draws attention to.
70. Save The Villain: Azumi to Two-Face. Sort of.
71. Split Personality: Dent again.
72. Stealth Hi/Bye: The Cliffhanger.
73. Stealth Insult/Genius Bonus: Azumi leaves a swear instead of an actual radio frequency, coded in alphanumeric substitution.
74. Two Faced: The Trope Namer himself.
75. You Got Guts: Why Catwoman has Jess be her student, since they aren't really that different in some ways.
76.
77. Chapter 2
78. Ax Crazy: Spiderman agrees that Zsasz is as crazy as the host of Carnage-616.
79. Bad Liar: Zsasz's Motive Rant isn't particularly convincing, just crazy.
80. Batman Cold Open: Taken to its literal extreme. (Okay, I'm sorry.)
81. Covered in Scars: Victor Zsasz. One tally mark for each kill.
82. Enemy Mine: Between DCAU!Batman and Bane in order to take out containers of Titan, six for each of them.
83. Evil Phone: Zsasz's mission revolves around these.
84. Fan Disservice: Nobody wants to see you shirtless, Zsasz.
85. Good Scars, Evil Scars: See Covered in Scars.
86. Knife Nut: Zsasz again.
87. Motive Rant: A particularly disturbing one given by Zsasz.
88. Second Episode New Character: DCAU!Batman and Spiderman didn't show up in previous chapters at all.
89. Serial Killer: Zsasz again.
90. Soft-Spoken Sadist: Victor Zsasz.
91. Stealth-Based Mission: Spidey's takedown of Zsasz, which utilizes methods not available to Batman, like the Wall Crawl.
92. The Watson: Seems to be one of A.L.F.R.E.D.'s primary purposes here, so as to help explain the plot to people who are less informed.
93. We Have Reserves: Oswald "Penguin" Cobblepot leaves his own men on Joker's side of the city to keep Batman from reaching him easily.
94.
95. Chapter 3
96. Berserk Button: Selina trying to avoid Poison Ivy's is why she asks Jessica not to travel to her place with her, since her Lightning magic would probably burn her plants.
97. Ceiling Cling: Catwoman teaches Jessica how to do this for stealthy movement.
98. Fetish Fuel: In-universe, Catwoman draws attention to how Jess's boyfriend (Will) must "like how good she is with her whip."
99. Hey, You! Haymaker: Jess does this with a bola at long range before jumping into a fray alone at the end of the chapter.
100. It Was A Gift: Catwoman gives Jess copies of all of her equipment except her whip (which is unnecessary due to Ribbon) and her catsuit (though not for lack of trying), including her bolas, caltrops, and Thief Vision goggles, just because she thinks that she'll find them useful.
101. Let's Split Up, Gang: Justified. Catwoman wants to get into the confiscated goods vault and is going to get Poison Ivy, but doesn't want Jessica accidentally invoking Dr. Pamela Isley's wrath by burning her plants.
102. No, Just No Reaction: Jess to being offered a copy of Selina's Spy Catsuit.
103.
104. Chapter 4
105. Ain't No Rule: How Scarecrow takes down the Riddler's scheme.
106. Enemy Mine: Of a sort. Scarecrow leads Batman to Riddler's hideouts with signs. It's less to stop Riddler or help Batman than it is to counter-troll Riddler.
107. He's Back: Scarecrow is back home. Watch out.
108. Incoming Ham: "The Scarecrow lives!"
109. Mook Horror Show: Played by the master of horror himself.
110. No Fair Cheating: Played for laughs, and with no consequences. Riddler shouts this before being cut off when Scarecrow interrupts his game.
111. Notice This: In universe. Scarecrow puts gigantic, glowing, yellow markings where all of the Riddler rooms are for Batman to find and enter.
112. Playful Hacker: The Riddler taps into Scarecrow's radio just to "chat" with him.
113. Refuge In Audacity: Scarecrow's solution to the Riddler's game.
114. Rule Of Funny: See Refuge in Audacity.
115. Take That: From the Riddler about the Incoming Ham. "The Scarecrow lives, but does he have a life?" Also Hypocritical Humor.
116.
117. Chapter 5
