  1. Gods of Yore
  2.
  3. A Terraria Roleplaying ruleset
  4.
  5. Requirements: 10+ players, 1-2 "Gods" (Players with Commands)
  6. TShock ( Any server mod will work, but the SQLite will help greatly with most game mechanics )
  7. An outside chat room for individual teams, (OOC)
  8.
  9. Teams: Red Faction (God followers)
  10. Blue Faction (Athiest-esque Faction)
  11. Gray Team (Exiled people)
  12. (Teams can be added as nessisary)
  13. Player characters:
  14. Basic Players and Demi-Gods: MediumCore
  15. God: Softcore.
  16.
  17. Summary: In the beginning of the game, the Server admin, or a preselected player with commands will establish a goal to claim his favor. (IE: A Tower in his honor, or a statue, etc.)
  18. He may reward players as they feel or boost players he may favor by giving them items. (Only as reasonable within a tier, IE: Giving a player and missing item from an armor set, etc)
  19. Once the god deems a Faction has reached enough status, he will elect a Priest from who he deems fit ( This is judged by primarily equipment. )
  20. Afterwards, the faction continues to work to reach the predefined goal.
  21.
  22. Enemy factions: At any point in the game, if a player has created a small following (IE:3-5 players), He can be elevated to the position of a Demi-God.
  23. Demi-Gods operate in the same way as a God, but without the gifting of items. However, DemiGods will be given armor 2-3 tiers above the average armor of their following.
  24. This faction will be at constant war with the primary God. However, they do have the option of converting the followers, removing the demi-God from his status, or killing the demi-god, and forcing the players to convert.
  25.
  26. Objective completion: Once the main faction has reached their God's objective, the God will select a High Priest, and outfit him with High tier armor and items.
  27. typical Setup for a High Preist includes: Full Molten, Silver top and bottom armor(social slot) and a familiar wig(social slot)
  28. At this stage of the game, it becomes much similar to Egyptian styles. Most people will follow the god, obey the Preist etc, but it is ENCOURAGED for players to band together and rebel. To topple a country, the group must kill off the High Priest, and raze the monument. This constitutes a rebellion, in which the old nation's priest is forced into exile (Gray team) and the rest of the nation must follow the new priest. The god must issue a new Monument Goal, and NOT HARM THE OVERTHROWING PARTY. The party however can choose weither or not they wish to follow the god.
  29.
  30. Godslayers: If at any given time the players deem it nessisary to kill the God, The "quest arc" Godslayer will begin. For this to occur, all 3 normal bosses must be killed, the god opposing faction must have elected a Demi-God, and that Demi-God must have in his possession a Night's Edge.
  31. THE KILLING BLOW MUST BE MADE BY SAID NIGHTS EDGE! You can wear down the God with any weapon, but the kill must be made with a Night's Edge.
  32. If the Demi-God successfully kills the God, the Demi-God is elevated to the status of a fully-fledged God, and the game continues.
  33. The old god must then leave the server and return as a normal human. He can however, attempt to gain a following, and return to his seat of power.
  34.
  35. Other Rules:
  36. 1) God's can not give players unreasonable amounts or levels of items. Their gifting is porportional to their follower's AVERAGE tiers.
  37. 2) Demi-Gods can choose to step down, however they will be exiled (Gray Team)
  38. 3) It is ENCOURAGED to rebel if a leader becomes unreasonable, or if they are being selfish etc.
