We just want to explode things

Alexithymiaa: -Brad was sitting at the counter with a plate of nice chicken sandwich with french fries in front of him paired with a nice diet cherry coke. He was feeling pretty good because food has that effect on him. Picking up his sandwich, he took a big bite of the chicken lettuce and tomato goodness, moaaning just enough for it to be kind of awkward for the waitress as she walked by with someone else's order.-
Covet: Kelsey walked in with Connor in Tow, picking him up to sit him up on one of the stools, then found a seat herself. "What do you want to eat kiddo?" She asked him as the waitress came up. "Hey you." She said to Brad with a smile. // "Mac n cheese, but with the broccoli in it." Connor said As he got into his backpack to get out his school work.
Alexithymiaa: -Setting his chicken sandwich back down on hsi plate, he grabbed for his napkin to wipe his hands off before turning to look at them. "Hey. How was school, Little Man?"-
Covet: Kelsey looked over at Connor, waiting to hear his response. // "It was good, Dad. We did some cool science experiments today. I have to get my homework done though because Momma said I could have ice cream if I did." Connor told him.
Alexithymiaa: "Well I want to hear all about your cool science experiments when you're done, okay? Science is so cool." He saaid with force because he fucking hates school and does not think science is cool.-
Covet: Kelsey looked over at Brad and raised an eyebrow because she could hear the forced tone to his voice. "Yeah, I want to hear too." She said a lot more genuinely then gave their order to the waitress getting herself a salad. // "Okay Dad, it was messy science. and it smelled too." Connor said scrunching up his face as he wrote his name on his paper then started going through the counting stuff they were working on.
Alexithymiaa: "Smelled like what?" He asked, definitely more curious now than he was before. He picked up a french fry to dunk it in his ketchup, popping it into his mouth. (Almost wrote pooping)-
Covet: Kelsey watched the two of them and bit the inside of her cheek, with a bittersweet smile. // Connor looked at Brad, "Like pickles. If you put vinegar with bakingsoda into a film container you can make the top explode off."
Alexithymiaa: "Really? You know... I have a bunch of those at home. We could do that with all the extra ones I have if you want?" He asked, trying to engage the science thing, but everyone knows exploding things is fun.-
Covet: "Just make sure to clean up the mess afterwords." Kelsey said to them. // Connor brightened up, " Could we? Can we make a really big one Dad?" He asked him.
Alexithymiaa: "We can do it outside so there is no mess to clean up." He said with a smile, giving Connor's hair a rustle before looking to Kelsey. "That way everyone wins."-
Covet: "Sounds good, especially if you're going big. I think everyone will be thankful for the dorms not smelling like pickles." Kelsey said softly. She leaned over and looked down at Connor's homework. "Don't forget about your homework kiddo. // "Outside is good, because the lids can go really high." Connor said then looked back down at his homework.
Alexithymiaa: You know, you can do cool stuff with diet coke and mentos too. We used to do that when I was a kid." He grinned, thinking back on exploding soda bottles in the streets. "Hey, I like pickles and I like the way pickles smell."-
Covet: "That one is DEFINITELY being done outside if you do it." Kelsey said because she'd seen the messes that made, "And you're both wearing safety goggles." // "Really? But that's just candy and soda...." Connor said in awe, then shook his head, "I like pickles too, but smelling it all day in class made me feel sick."
Alexithymiaa: "We will do all of our experiments outside. I promise, Momma." He said to Kelsey with a laugh. "I know its just candy and soda, but that's science, Kid."-
Covet: "Thank you." Kelsey said with a light laugh. //"Science is really cool." Connor said shaking his head then went back to his math home work getting a couple more done before their food showed up.
Alexithymiaa: "You know, cooking is sort of like science. And baking." He added, glancing to Kelsey because he was sure she would get a kick out of that comment in regards to Connor.-
Covet: "Dad's right. You have to get the measurements just right, and have things at the right temperature to make sure everything comes together to make what you want." Kelsey said as she dug into her salad. // Connor listened to them. " That's probably why I like science then."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, because you're a master chef." He said with a laugh, grabbing his soda to take another sip. "You know what would be cook? If we could get some big time chef to help you with one of your webisodes and you can ask them questions while you cook."-
Covet: "That would be pretty cool, We'd have to put some feelers out for something like that though." Kelsey said thinking about it. // "Like who?" Connor asked Brad.
Alexithymiaa: "I'm not really sure. We'd have to do some research, Buddy." He said to Connor and then looked to Kelsey. "Think we could make it happen though?"-
Covet: "It might take a little bit of digging but I'm sure we could find someone." Kelsey said with a nod. // Connor smiled and took a few bites of his food, "Okay, we can watch some cooking shows maybe?"
Alexithymiaa: "We can do that, but we need to make sure we have plenty of snacks because you know what happens when you watch cooking shows?" He asked him, munching on more fries for irony. "You get hungry watching them make all the delicious food."-
Covet: "This is very true. It gives some great inspiration. So make sure to be taking notes for your own show too, Kiddo." Kelsey told him. "I'm sure having a SANDWICH before watching doesn't help the munchies either." She said to Brad with a light laugh.
Alexithymiaa: "Well... it just triggers the need to eat more food!" He protested to her, because honestly who watches Food Network aand doesnt get hungry. "Maybe we should all make nice big sandwiches and then sit down to watch some cooking shows._

Covet: Kelsey laughed because she was just giving him him shit. "I think we can probably do that." // Connor spoke up. " Can we have chips too?"
Alexithymiaa: "I think chips after a nice big sandwich is the perfect idea." He spoke, making direct eye contact with Kelsey because he knew Connor wouldnt pick up on the meaning of certain words.-
Covet: "We'll make sure to get some chips for sure." Kelsey said rolling her eyes as she tried not to laugh, enjoying the semi normal moment. "Did you get your homework finished so we can get some ice cream to go?" She asked Connor. // "Yeah, can you double check it for me please?" Connor asked his mom as he finished his dinner.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad leaned over to look down at the math, shaking his head. "Yeah, why don't you review this one, and I'll get the next one."-
Covet: "I've got it. How about you two decide on ice cream and I'll get this checked over and put back in his bag so that we can get back to the dorms for bedtime.

Alexithymiaa: "Chocolate with hot fudge?" He asked Connor instantly because that's what he wanted and clearly this is the right choice of ice cream lover's by Brad's standards.-
Covet: "Yeah!" Connor said excitedly while Kelsey did the mom things so that they could leave.
Alexithymiaa: -And brad went about ordering the largest ice cream sundaes he could to bring home with them because priorities.-
