Jin grow up in the very city, Gwangju. His homelife was fairly, living with his two sisters and mom. His dad was never really apart of his life but that didn't effect his life in any negative way. Jin's mother never really had one stable job, she was always getting let go and having to find a new job. So, that meant Jin and his family moved quite a lot but they always stayed In gwangju. His mom worked as a school teacher, so she made sure him and his siters were all straight A students.Jin wasn't really the best kid in school. He would never do his work and just sleep in class all day. But he thought he had an excuse which was,, 'I'm moving again next month, so why try?" and he was soulfully right but he was also in the wrong. When Jin was the sweet age of 13, his mom found out he had a very sweet sounding vocal voice.So, when Jin was 14, his mother brought him to an entertainment company to see if they can make her lovely son into a star.

Jin is a very happy person. He is always seen smiling and having a great time. He doesn't really the darkness in people, but he sees the good. Jin is known to be the happy virus of the group. He does get angry, just like any other person. He just doesn't really like showing it. When the other members are teasing him,he would just keep his happy face on and just act like it was no big deal but deep inside he just wants to tell them off.As a maknae you would think he would act oh so childish and non knowing of the world around him, but with jin its the compete opposite. He does have his childish moments here ad there like anyone else but he tends to just say as mature as he can be. Sometimes, he doesn't even notice that he's acting out of the maknae mold. He just thinks he's doing his part of the group. Like mentioned earlier, Jin gets teased by the members because of the status in the group he holds. The kid. His status in the dorms is the kid, the maknae, the youngest and he absolutely hate them for telling his over and over that he's just the maknae. Jin is a very simple person. If he likes you then he likes you, and if the hates you then he hates you. He isn't really one to get scared over the basic things others do get scared of. He often gets shaken by little things others don't really worry much about, such as if someone isn't smiling or if someone has the looks of being mad at something he has done or not. When you get to know him you would understand why he is such a happy soul. And it's because his outlook on life. He often says ' Life is too short to be mad at someone '. Jin isn't as oblivious as he poetries. He is a very smart guy who knows when your faking something and when your not. He kind of understands the basic human emotions and how to fake them, because he sometimes fake being happy to not make people worried. He does get sad very fast. He truly cares about what people how to say about him, so if you have the most slightest negative thing to say about him, he will mentally breakdown. On a more happier note, Jin gives really good advice for somebody his age. He just knows the right words to use and how to use them.

When he was sitting out in the waiting room, his leg was just shaking and shaking. All he was thinking about was what if he didn't get in? What if the judges didn't like him and the way he sang? Just a bunch of bad, negative things were filling up his mind.
