- Gran Turismo Arcade Mode FAQ
- Q: What's WR?
- A: 1:14:12.
- Q: What's Arcade Mode?
- A: A quick race mode with unlockable manufacturers and tracks. The physics are different than simulation mode, more "arcade" style. So, exaggerated drifts and turns and overall a faster racing experience. There are credits at the end as well.
- Q: How do you get to the credits?
- A: Win all 8 tracks on Difficult with all 3 different car classes (A, B, C).
- Q: How do unlocks work?
- A: The game starts with 4 tracks (High Speed Ring, Trial Mountain, Grand Valley East, and Clubman Stage Route 5). Once those races are won on Difficult with the 3 different car classes, the track below is unlocked. (Autumn Ring, Deep Forest, Special Stage Route 5, Grand Valley Speedway). After that, 4 car manufacturers are unlocked in a specific order. As in, the from left to right, not lining up the manufacturer to the track. (Toyota, Subaru, Dodge, TVR). The credits go along with TVR at the end with Difficult.
- Q: So, you can't unlock Dodge by doing Grand Valley East, then Special Stage Route 5?
- A: Correct.
- Q: Why are you not playing on the JP version?
- A: Arcade mode is different on NTSC-J. It plays like Simulation mode, not Arcade mode, so the races take forever.
- Q: Is this a fun category?
- A: Not really. I'm not a fan of Arcade stuff that much. The run is kinda tedious, unlike Ridge Racer 4, which is 8 races once, not three times.
- Q: Why was your time so bad?
- A: My old PS2's motor was dying for a long time, so my loads were suffering. With this new PS2, I should be fine. Though, I did have a 1:15:26, but I forgot to highlight it a long time ago, and it's gone.
