  1. [12:57] Riley Pyrus says, "<Bay?>"
  2. [13:02] The Task was on a single mission, one that he would not deter from. Venturing far south, he would drag the poor chef behind him as he hunted what he sought. When nothing was found, Revan would find him desperate enough to march directly into Alabastre, sticking close to the trees, he would ALMOST make it to the market he sought.
  3.
  4. He could almost smell it.
  5.
  6. Though he would be spotted by the sharp eyes Rhoynish, stepping from the shadows with his hands raised, Revan was perhaps unrecognizeable in his templar garb, wearing the Helm of The First Flame.
  7.
  8. "Long time no see, Bay, did you ever get my message?"
  9.
  10. As he talked, the Fireblooded would inch ever so closely towards the market place, his focus seemingly more on the ware present rather than the growing crowd.
  11. (Revan Task)
  12. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  13.
  14. [13:06] Well, it wasn't what he was expecting, but it was still a welcome surprise. As the Helm of the First Flame comes to view and Revan's voice hits the air one would expect a simple welcome. One would, typically, even expect a hello.
  15.
  16. Bay was not that person.
  17.
  18. Much like any warrior would do the six-shooter's drawn in a practiced motion. Its barrel lit aflame as the firearm's kept level at the Task's direction. No expression is held, no, merely a stone disposition hinting towards the built up apathy.
  19.
  20. "... Revan." He began, "I did get your message from Tea. I've also heard your stance on the war. Lil isn't exactly... Private with those kinds of things unsurprisingly."
  21.
  22. There's a gentle shrug of his shoulders before he continued. "Let's make it quick. Why're you here and why are you still dancing with the Demons if you're so bent on killing them later?"
  23. (Bay Lovain)
  24. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  25. [13:17] This was to be expected, really.
  26.
  27. Revan wouldn't make it far into the market as the six shooter was leveled at him, a smirk forming on his face. Almost feels like old times. Hearing his name, golden hues would meet the Rhoynish for just an instant before looking into the Ilmart stocks.
  28.
  29. There it is.
  30.
  31. Throwing some gold at the merchant, the Fireblooded would SWIPE that pudding cup and slip it into his sleeve. Such a successful venture, now he only had to make it out alive.
  32.
  33. "Why I'm here? It's been years since I saw my fellow Guildmate, I wanted to see you were doing well.. And Dancing with them?" He would squint for a moment, hearing Lilly had shared things he thought were told in confidence.
  34.
  35. "I'll be forthright with you, I simply want to see Nysea burn, and it's nobility with it. At first I joined the War for that reason, and the fact that Myllenoris had decided to hunt my family.. However.."
  36.
  37. Golden hues would be cast to the side, Amalia's words echoing in his head, along with the words he uttered himself when giving a sermon to some youth.
  38.
  39. "Mmh.. I've stepped out to focus on the fireblooded.. When ready, we will hunt both the demons and the dragon slayers.. But now, I no longer dance with demons."
  40.
  41. He had thought it would be valuable to train with them, but even Lilly disagreed with that, so he would even hold back on that venture. Hands would remained raised, looking towards his old friend, wondering if he'd pull the trigger.
  42. (Revan Task)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [13:31] Golden hues squint briefly as the coin is tossed towards the merchant. Pudding? Really? Scrunching up his nose he'd let out a light scoff before shaking his head. There was a better matter at hand.
  46.
  47. "I understand the bit about getting back at Myllenoris for attempting to kill your brother. That much he and I discussed on the battlefield-- He didn't fair too well against me surprisingly. Yet the issue still stands with that he wants to use them."
  48.
  49. The trigger's not pulled yet but the weapon doesn't move. While part of him did wish to fire right off the bat... It was best to get everything he wanted to hear then and now.
  50.
  51. Tilting his head forward he'd cock a brow. "Fighting alongside the Demons, however, is something I can't excuse. As much as many would like to believe that letting them tire out in the war is a good idea it's not. They'll only grow stronger from the bloodshed."
  52.
  53. "So-" Lifting his head back up he'd click his teeth idly, chewing on his next words carefully. "How am I to trust you won't go off and fight with them in the next big rush?"
  54. (Bay Lovain)
  55. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  56.
  57. [13:36] Kofe quietly observed the ongoing exchange. Not sharing his thoughts was rare for him, which meant that he likely either had none on the matter or too many to pinpoint a single. He makes no effort to stop Bay's threat, mind you.
  58. (Kofe)
  59. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  60.
  61. [13:47] Yes, the Infamous Task had risked life and limb for one cup of P u d d i n g
  62.
  63. There were so many layers to why others where thrown into the war, Revan's reason's truthfully weren't that much unlike the demons. By throwing himself into the fires of battle, he could mold himself into the perfect warrior. However, even if he didn't support it's use, defending his family would do so.
  64.
  65. It was a quandary he had struggled with, in his youth he wouldn't bat an eye to allying with demons. Though his time with The Dragon's Tooth would change him, and he would start to see it less and less useful, to the outright danger it was.
  66.
  67. "I'm aware. Since you last saw me, I've become head of the Fireblooded, many of which are simply fighting to defend their home. My father's announcement was sudden, and I have not had time to organize our ranks yet.."
  68.
  69. It was atenant not to shy away from violence, though he had already promised Lilly he would not enter the next battle, atleast not on the side of Demons. When asked what assurance the Rhoynish had that Revan wouldn't aid the demons, he would simply squint. A snarl would form on his lips as he marched forward.
  70.
  71. "How do you expect me.. To fight in good conscious.. Knowing that.."
  72.
  73. He marched forward, letting the barrel press against his chest or head, whichever Bay pointed at, and whispering to him a juicy lost chapter to a story he may not have been told.
  74. (Revan Task)
  75. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  76.
  77. [13:47] Revan Task whispers to Bay Lovain: My father killed my mother.
  78. [13:53] Revan Task whispers to Bay Lovain: That the man I idolized all my life is a monster
  79. [13:53] Head of the Fireblooded - How quaint. The Eryni clansman couldn't help but wonder just how far the Golden Flame would've gotten if he was up there with them. Yet, sadly, that wasn't in the chapters just yet. That stare doesn't move as they stride forth.
  80.
  81. The barrel of the gun only presses to their chest, his arm moving back as they advanced.
  82.
  83. Upon the whisper a silent stare is shared back. Seconds bleed by before a simple smile dots his expression. Clicking his tongue he'd tap the flaming muzzle of the six-shooter twice upon the Task's chest.
  84.
  85. "I expect you fight in good conscious another way if that's true. Drag the Fireblooded here or Myllenoris. Myllenoris has no intent on tearing down your religion's temple-- Harming Garljing either. Nysea?.. Yeah, they do sadly."
  86.
  87. "You can deal with them later on." Lifting the barrel so it's aimed at the sky he'd just give a shrug. An emotionless reply, surely, but he was here for facts alone. "You want to get rid of the Demons and that monster?"
  88.
  89. "Take a stand. Make the change. People up there don't want to fight with Demons from what I hear... Lead that little revolution, perhaps."
  90. (Bay Lovain)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [14:12] With the tapping of the barrel against his nyeshk, he would blink, readying for a shot. Hearing that he should move the Fireblooded elsewhere and take a stand, there would be a short shake of his horned helm.
  94.
  95. "No, we must remain in Theria, close with Garljing.."
  96.
  97. Expecting him to fight? The Fireblooded wanted to but how could he when his forces were new recruits and vets pulled out from the cob webs? Everything needed a bit of work and elbow grease, but the Task was working on it none the less.
  98.
  99. Hearing of wanting to rid the demons and that monster would force him to pause. It was a thought was had slowly begun creeping into his mind, he had always wanted to protect and defend his family.. And part of him wanted to see his Father live out his twilight years, but with the chaos he had stirred, Revan felt like this was some sort of final test for him.
  100.
  101. Though the last little word intrigued him. Little Revolution. Perhaps that was what he sought, though even with not every therian wishing to fight beside demons, they were all so varied and differed in their ideologies and prides.
  102.
  103. "You should know me well enough by now to know I don't sit on my hands, Bay." A light chuckle as he patted the Rhoynish on the shoulder, looking to Riley, then seeking to take his leave.
  104. (Revan Task)
  105. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  106.
  107. [14:14] Riley twists their mouth to the side, a hand resting on the hilt of their katan as the talks continued.
  108. (Riley Pyrus)
  109. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  110.
  111. [14:19] Was it really that hard to tear themselves from the dormant Dragon? A light sigh escaped the Eryni's Lorespeaker as his head slowly shook. Another Task was slightly dancing around the subject. While he was expecting a revolution to brew... It didn't seem to come soon enough.
  112.
  113. Letting the six-shooter flip about in his hand he'd slide it back into its holster. Was he to trust the words of a friend again? Trusting one he'd barely knew in the past was already proving to be a poor investment.
  114.
  115. What was life without gamble though?
  116.
  117. "If I don't hear of a revolution before the next march I will stomp my way into Theria and begin my shooting spree." A bold declaration but the Lovain usually held his words true. "So gather those forces up quick. I'm tired of all this prattling about not wishing to fight with Demons... Then fighting with them."
  118.
  119. Crossing his arms against his chest Bay's expression grows a bit more tired. Part of him wished to leap forth and merely put his mark upon Revan's story-- Spur some change in the chapters.
  120.
  121. Yet there's a hope the threat is all that needs to be said to drive such a thing.
  122. (Bay Lovain)
  123. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  124.
  125. [14:29] While Bay's kindness was one to note, Kofe had given up on the idea of mercy. The man's anger, pain, and sorry was carried like a burden and brought him to act according to his instincts.
  126.
  127. Yes, Bay knew more.
  128. Yes, they were friends.
  129. Yes, they could be on the same side.
  130.
  131. But they weren't. Not now. Not in this moment.
  132.
  133. Kofe's golden gaze sat upon Revan and words that cut through the defused tension came from his lips.
  134.
  135. "You intend on moving from Theria in a timely manner. Your clock is ticking; you have until I'm done beating the stupid out of you to change your mind."
  136.
  137. A low hum came. A strength drawn from the stars and a music that reached directly into one's mind was ushered forth.
  138. (Kofe)
  139. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  140.
  141. [14:40] Kitiara happened along the scene that seemed to be unfolding on the edge of the Alabaster market. She wasn't overly sure what was going on, as both Kofe and Bay blocked her path.
  142.
  143. Stepping forward, she'd take note of the familiar bucket-helmet of the First Flame. Revan. Narrowing her eyes on the fool, she'd take her position beside Bay.
  144.
  145. ".. Came to Alabaster with a death sentence, hm?"
  146.
  147. Shaking her head, she'd remove the six-shooter from its holster, spinning the cylinder, stopping with an audible click. ".. I was told that I was allowed to kick your shit in, for what you've done.. Joining the Demons?.. Low, even for you, Task."
  148.
  149. Shaking her head, she'd place her hands upon her hips. Firing her gaze between Bay and Kofe. ".. Dibs on his helmet."
  150. (Kitiara Mari-Lovain)
  151. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  152.
  153. [14:47] Revan would make steps towards what he said, he had to or risk falling into stagnation himself. He was still in the gathering stages.. But surely a stand should be made, a declaration. The Fireblooded would have to consult with a few key members before making any moves, but the drums of war grew ever louder.
  154.
  155. Much like the strumming of the menacing Bard beside him.
  156.
  157. Turning to him, Revan would crack his knuckles by closing his fist rolling his helm about to pop his neck several times. He didn't know what it was with the Rhoynish and their singing and Dancing, but it seemed he was going to have to catch the tempo quick.
  158.
  159. "Mmh.. I didn't truly expect to walk out of here without a few new bruises."
  160.
  161. Though Kit would step forward, a sight for sore eyes. Revan did wish he could stay and chat, but when she said Death wish? He would snicker.
  162.
  163. "You want the helm? I'll let you try it on now if you wish."
  164.
  165. It would surely burn through her scalp, would it not? Oh, perish such thoughts, he still liked Kit and her fiery spirit. Though hearing how behind she was, he wanted to strike her, but would refrain.
  166.
  167. "I'm trying to set the charge for a little revolution, if you had bothered listening before barging in. Yes, I might've wished to defend my family and their choice to side with demons.. I have.. Since seen why I should be fighting otherwise.. So I will do so with what forces I can muster."
  168. (Revan Task)
  169. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  170.
  171. [14:53] "In life you have choices. When it comes to dealing with world problem you can either pick to talk things out or fight them out.
  172.
  173. You've already cast your choice."
  174.
  175. A more tame and restrained Kofe may have been kinder to the Fireblooded, to the man who promised to switch sides, but as he was and after what happened to Cassisu? The Rhoynish had no interest in kindness. The Task family had betrayed their allies countless times and mere patience being requested of them was a bit too much to ask for.
  176.
  177. His right hand rose up and with it a crescendo of notes came forth, launching itself at Revan's frame and forcing him backwards - towards the center of the city. A clear signal that things were not going to be resolved in the way he envisioned.
  178.
  179. That Kofe's path was absolute.
  180.
  181. The time for words was long over.
  182. War had been called.
  183. (Kofe)
  184. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  185.
  186. [15:05] The Shengese didn't want to kill Revan, that was to be sure. But she certainly wanted to beat his damn head in for betraying everything that they had built up together. The Dragon's Tooth Guild, laid in ruins and in disarray, he alone had split them by joining his family, and the Demons.
  187.
  188. "Oh, I'm very fucking aware that you are trying to make 'a little revolution'. Your wife to be, Lilith, told me all about it.." Looking down at her gloved hand, she'd slowly tug at each finger, until it was lose enough to take off.
  189.
  190. Underneath, on the backside of her hand, runes black as Azrael's wings. This was her first time activating this rune.. Hopefully, it wouldn't be the last. "She gave me this, too.. And -.. well, you're going to be the one I experiment with it on."
  191.
  192. Lowering her head, she'd grin. ".. You made a monster hunting guild. Then betrayed its members by joining Demons. Literal, Demons! I don't give a damn your reasonings. You fought shoulder to shoulder with those things in the wa-.." Then, Kofe sent a wave of paper at the Fireblood, pushing him further into the market.
  193.
  194. Giving Kofe a nod, indicating that she was with him in this fight. Even if he didn't need the backup. She needed to do this. Her anger bubbled and popped.
  195.
  196. "You're a disgrace.." With that said, the runes on the back of her hand began to glow a dark hue, as they began to passively absorb the mana from plantlife, trees - and Revan.
  197.
  198. With that same runic hand, she reached into her satchel, pulling out a large piece of Meteorite, that had carried the Mimics here in the not so recent past. She used this to enhance her powers, using it as a catalyst for mana siphoning.
  199.
  200. This was it, she was ready to rumble. Sorry, Revan. Kit hopes he understands.
  201. (Kitiara Mari-Lovain)
  202. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  203.
  204. [15:12] {Lost Dangerous RPB against Kofe}
  205. [15:12] ** Kofe has inflicted an injury upon Revan Task. ("Temporary Injury", "Temporary Injury", "Temporary", "Duration: Medium (4 days)") **
  206. [15:16] Kitiara is a bit grumpy that she didn't get to join in on the fun..
  207. (Kitiara Mari-Lovain)
  208. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  209.
  210. [15:21] There was no contest when it came to fighting against Kofe. The Rhoynish was above what most magi would consider to be strong by any means. Though the time for mercy and kindness was long over. Cassius hadn't been granted as much, after all.
  211.
  212. Crouching before Revan after the overwhelming sounds calling forth for his demise, the bard reached out into the Task's pockets - pulling a packaged plastic bowl of sorts with a spoon taped to it. The very pudding that the man had come to buy from Kofe's shop of all places.
  213.
  214. He cracked it open, right in front of Revan's eyes, and took a spoonful of chocolate goodness in before even speaking his first few words, making sure that the smack of his lips would grant a metaphorical smack to the man's soul.
  215.
  216. "So... I gave you until I was done beating you for a chance at moving to Myllenoris and starting over from there. Now-" He took another spoonful, speaking his his mouthhalf-full. "I know a Task's tendency to turn on people. Your best chance is gonna be as a prisoner of war."
  217.
  218. A pause, and an empty, clean plastic spoon is pointed towards the man's face.
  219.
  220. "Unless you'd rather die in unfortunate circumstances, like my son."
  221. (Kofe)
  222. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  223.
  224. [15:35] He was never to avoid violence, and he would put up his best against the Rhoynish, he would clearly be outmatched. The harmonies that would harm the task would thrum deep through his nyeshk and causing internal damages.
  225.
  226. He tried to fight, but truly it was just pummeling. His heart was not in this fight, simply accepting the beating that came his way. This wasn't why he was here, and the man had lost much, if this was how the Task could repent, then he would accept it.
  227.
  228. Though the unimaginable would happen as the pudding cup would be take from his pocket, his body thoroughly battered he couldn't do anything but watch.
  229.
  230. "That was.. For my fiancée.."
  231.
  232. The fiancée he had risked life or limb to just get a sweet treat for, something to show he cared. But instead here he would be at the mercy of his enemy, watching as all his attempts were swiped right from him.
  233.
  234. A snarl forming on his face at the mention of a prisoner of war, being sent off to Myllenoris. "With the Terraphim? I will be a disgrace at that point." Despite his attunement to nature, he still did not care for their kind.
  235.
  236. "I planned to kill my father with the tools he gave me, the tools of his own trade. I thought it was fitting as a final test from my father.. But if that does not suffice then.." A bow of his head as he didn't bother to speak on the alternative.
  237. (Revan Task)
  238. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  239.
  240. [15:38] Kitiara simply just grumbles and curses under her breath. Eyes locked onto the back of Kofe's head, as if it were a target.
  241. (Kitiara Mari-Lovain)
  242. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  243.
  244. [15:43] "March to Theria and kill him the day you step foot in your city."
  245.
  246. Kofe's words were direct and spoken without a moment of hesitation. Where some may see this as unwarranted mercy or even kindness, it was not. It should be obvious by the way Kofe was enjoying this stolen, paid for, and made by himself pudding right before the eyes of the man who'd die for that pudding that the Rhoynish was no hero, no kind man.
  247.
  248. A brute at best. A bully.
  249.
  250. "This is the only way you'll prove you plan on fighting against Demonkind rather than with it. Act now, not later, not in a few years, not after the war.
  251.
  252. In this moment."
  253.
  254. The spoon was spun within his grasp, and placed right up against Revan's neck as if it were a threat of sorts.
  255.
  256. "If you can't agree to that, you'll die a man who's last impact on the world was to help vile creatures."
  257. (Kofe)
  258. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  259.
  260. [15:51] March there and Do it.
  261.
  262. It was the ultimatum he was given, a sharp inhale coming from him with a sharp inhale. Revan had long been conflicted with how to handle his family, especially with the recent news of his father.
  263.
  264. Though it seemed his elbow was being bent, Kofe was a wise one. He knew that words did not have value without action, and he knew no word held so little worth than a Tasks.
  265.
  266. "Very well."
  267.
  268. It was really all he could say as the spoon would be pressed against his throat. Despite all of the emotions that bubbled within him, how sweet the embrace of the stars would be, Revan couldn't bring to let his story end here.
  269.
  270. "If that is what it takes."
  271.
  272. His father was the one that had declared demons were allowed in Theria, surely with his head Revan could redeem his name to some degree. Leading the Fireblooded as a way of cleansing his sins.
  273. (Revan Task)
