  1. No... you can still think he's wrong but these arent contradictory statements. At least not when he's said them in past videos to Kraut and Pakman.
  2.
  3. 1) he doesnt think discrimination is a significant cause in either the case of blacks or irish/italians, that their IQ scores explain their economic positions. And thinks they were 'considered white' because otherwise their immigration would have been illegal.
  4.
  5. 2) If you google 'flynn effect empty' you will see why he isnt contradicting himself. The flynn effect only affects the raw score, it has almost no bearing on G, which is the variable for general intelligence, so it doesnt really reflect better reasoning but better test-taking likely due to literacy. Conversely, the racial gaps are highest on the most g-loaded subtests. Flynn himself says the Flynn effect and the racial gaps are unrelated for this reason. And in the Pakman video Alt-Hype says that G matters more than raw score. Since the racial gaps are more g-loaded, his dismissal of the flynn effect isnt in contradiction

  11. And I was able to find an article he wrote saying just this http://thealternativehypothesis.org/index.php/2016/09/10/the-flynn-effect-race-and-iq/
  12.
  13. Maybe he's still wrong but I watched his Kraut-related content and these arent contradictions in his arguments
  14.
  15. 1) He didnt dispute 'Irish and Italians werent considered white' on the grounds that they economically assimilated, he disputed it on the grounds they were allowed to immigrate to the US under a whites-only policy. And he disputed they faced major discrimination socially on the grounds it didnt affect their economic assimilation, which is not in conflict with his stance on blacks because he is saying discrimination isnt a factor in both cases. Irish and Italians have the normal white IQ so they should have parity or close to it with at least other white immigrants and they did. His stance on blacks is that their 85 IQ explains their lack of economic assimilation. In both cases he thinks IQ trumps whatever discrimination was faced as an explanatory factor for economic position
  16.
  17. 2) The Flynn Effect point is in reference to how it does not reflect increases in G. While the racial gaps are highest on the subtests which have the most g-loading. Flynn himself says the racial gaps and the flynn effect arent related for this reason and that the increases in raw IQ under the flynn effect reflect better test taking ability than increases in the ability to reason.

  21. His stance is that G matters more then the raw score, and it isnt inconsistent with his stance on the IQ gap because that is heavily G-loaded anyway. His video response to Pakman goes over it I think.
