(*Kan, Yeu looks down - there was anger seething more and more every word he spoke, and likely it'd bubble up and pop at any rate if the conversation continued.. but he chose to calm himself. For once in his life, the Kan felt something in his stomache - a sick feeling, maybe instilled by the rush of a level of anger he hadn't felt in a very long time, or perhaps, that he was surrounded by people that rather undermine the value of Kiyomi's death; a chuunin, "Some bonds you Konohagakure people make. Pride yourselves off them, but at the end of the day, your village is marked with a dark history of murder and friends backstabbing eachother and doing worse than their enemies have to them." he spat to the floor, his final statement towards Hiiro, who he'd seen had been personal friends with Hachiro.

The person of his absolute rage; that fever that made him want to kill - but, he was far from that boiling point anymore. Only tired, beaten and discouraged now. There was too many of them, too large a gap between him and all these people, and nobody seemed to see his side. A quieted breath of frustration rolled down his lips as he spat more dried blood out spitefully on the top of his besmirched hat on his lap.*)
(*Sayako slowly shifted her attention away from Yeu and over to Reno. Quickly she made her way over to him with hushed words.*)
Sayako whispers: Are you getting Yaboku flashbacks too?
Sayako whispers: Someone spouting their ideology and not knowing when they're wrong?

Kan, Yeu says: ..I understand if you don't want to help me, Shogun. You have your agenda, your priorities. I'm no one important to your grand scheme of slaying demons and keeping evils from the common people.

Uzumaki, Reno whispers: Yeah, he's showing his true colors.

She wasn't wearing a headband. She didn't respect the fact that she was a foreigner. It was unfortunate, but it happened. There's only so much you can do for a person. If you were really her friend, you would have talked her out of sneaking off to mentor Bang instead of sneaking into our village to take advantage of Emi several times over." The Sarutobi holds a cold glance, seemingly forgetting that the girl's older cousin was right beside him for a moment.

"She gave me her journal to read, and the things you did to her were detailed inside of it. Don't think you can play the victim and the avenger when you've already proven that you don't give a shit about anyone but yourself."

(*Kan, Yeu 's fists furled, his face as angry as ever. But then he settles - of course, he'd be besmirched, "I didn't do anything to her. That was written because of Kunaima. And settled long after she fled to Kirigakure because your village reeks and stinks of shit and still does from the mud-tracks Seijirama left everywhere in it. You can't use that against me." he stated simply, calmly, since he knew Emi was a good friend of Suzume's, before going onto speaking,

"If you believe that was true, and let any flash of anger overtake you, Shogun --- you'd know Emi died with my hat, the very one this woman had the audacity to tarnish after I'd given it to her as a gift - and had to retrieve it from the morgue after she died. And my robes. There was no dark relationship going on that you were suggested in any 'diary' that was written out of fear and want to remove herself from a village that grew to despise her and punish her at every turn, simply because she couldn't move out of your sight without being reprimanded or Kunaima's."*)
(*Sayako doesn't pay Yeu the courtesy of turning to look at him, but she listens all the same. Only when he was finally done talking does she focus on Hiiro with a questioning eyebrow. That seemed far too calm for the venom he was just spouting.

(*Uzumaki, Reno slowly turned his attention over to Hiiro. He doesn't even pay Yeu no mind especially with all the lies he's been spewing ealier. He looked calmed and would just tilt his head.

Kan, Yeu says: Well, Hiiro? Have anymore lies or things you want to throw at me? I know who I am - and I know the people I surround myself with very well. I live by honest terms, not treachery and deceit that's so thickly laden in your teeth you probably brush your teeth every morning looking at the shit that comes off.
Kan, Yeu says: I had a relationship with her - she didn't want it, so I apologized and that was it, we became good friends afterwards.
Kan, Yeu says: He seems to think I raped her or did heinous things to her.

Emi had been a member of the Temple. And the Temple was her family- when the child and family she was fated, was promised was no longer possible, was torn from her, those members had become her children.

(*Kan, Yeu simply looks jadedly over to the Sarutobi, only slightly curious to see how many remarks would be thrown - but it was only one, "That was a single time and you know nothing about it; I apologized and we were friends afterwards. That's it. Nothing more came of that and anyone who knows me can attest to that - Bastard, the Shogun --.. " he pauses momentarily, realizing the credibility of some his friends were gone, understandably because they're dead, "Kiyomi... Ise, anyone that's been around me long enough knows we were friends."*)

(*Shio pays Yeu a quick, anxious glance. The conversation had taken a poor turn and she didn't know the man enough to even attempt to defend him. Kiyomi's matter was one thing, but this was something she couldn't very well speak on. Her head is briefly bowed to the man before she rises and moves to Sayako obediently.

(*Kan, Yeu leers down at his lap, "You mentioned this for no other reason than to ruin my credibility - but if you knew anything about Kiyomi, you knew she claimed originally to be a Sarutobi, before finding out that was just a lie spun by her parents. (*Uzumaki, Reno would just stare at Hiiro for a moment almost processing everything that was said. The Uzumaki wouldn't say a word at all. He'll slowly amble forth closer to the farmer.

His hands would dangle at his side, looking almost lifeless. A cold stare would be given to Yeu as he tilt his head towards him.

"...Why did you rape my little cousin?" he'll bluntly ask.*)

Suzume asks: ...Hiiro. You don't have the diary with you. Do you?

Sarutobi, Hiiro says: It wasn't my place to. I thought that she might when she was ready.
Kan, Yeu says: You have a blood tie, that's true, but beyond that you're some apparition, like the rest of these bastards.

Charka would then surge from his form and a spike would all of sudden rise from under him, skewering one of his legs if allowed of course. If it did go through, the Uzumaki would just tilt his head and continue to stare at the Kan.

(*Kan, Yeu 's pricked with a senbon. He wriggles involuntarily, and then there's more punishment - his legs, but alas. He's already too battered and tired to feel much of anything than cold, sharp slabs of earth ripping through warmth - the warmth of blood and meat on his leg. He jumps and settles after a pained growl, then looks to Suzume.

"You're going to believe them then." he said, almost as if in disbelief. Frankly it hurt, "A few words on a battered man is enough to switch you, after I've been kind to everyone I know and to the temple, to Bastard. To the friends I made?" he looks at the blade grimly.*)

His attention would slowly shift to Yeu as  he just glared at him, waiting for him to respond to Suzume.*)
(*Kan, Yeu stares at the blade, mortality therein. His. It was sitting there, he rolled his head back again. He figured his words carried no weight here, not anymore, not with his credibility being ruined all a sudden by accusations of rape or misconduct and whatever else, and especially not now because he was so vulnerable. Tied, beaten up and sapped - a shade paler than that sunbaked skin ought to of been, due to his chakra being a brief and fleeting thing - sucked away into that vacuum on his chest.

He was more or less, a prisoner, "Stop, woman. You humble yourself to be no more equal than a farmer and now you're holding your blade over me like an executioneer; you have your own to tend to, I respect that. I understand that - but have the decency to ask me, not that man. Look me in the eye for a moment and don't stray. For a samurai, you are sure as hell inattentive." he huffed.

But he was calm now, if only because he was exhausted and frankly had no energy to raise his voice beyond the dry rasp knotted up in his throat; hoarsed from the fight prior with Hisao, and then that beating from Hachiro, "That day in the mines, I said you were cowed. It was because you claimed to rid the world of evils - the same, simple sentences this woman will try and insinuate is reason to kill me. And I see nothing but evil in one of these men. Hachiro. But for my reasons, no one elses. And that doesn't involve them - but I suppose I was warned. Trouble keeps company." he lips weakly.

"And I was frustrated, my opinion of you lowered then, before I spoke with Bastard.. Before I realized, that you had your rights to be concerned with no one else but your own. Because there are problems your temple are committed to, codes and whatnot."

" But I'm asking you on that very code you believe me for a moment. See reason, not the rage; would I have any reason to lie to you? Have I been dishonest? Have I carried myself like some fiend in the company of your temple? In that village as a whole? No, I've done nothing but help it and help people I've believed've been wronged. Which ironically led to this." he looked at his metal arm, tightly wound with the other in rope, "I've been kind and all I ask, is some sanity. See that these people are obviously going to discredit me because I've hurt or confronted some of their group and they sure as hell won't sing me as some saint when it comes to going against the grain." he continued for a spell - assuming he went uninterrupted.

"And I understand I insulted this Hiiro - whoever the hell you are, but you're the same man who shook hands with a rogue that murdered a dear friend of mine, let him into the village really, like it was an evening stroll. Maybe on more occassion than one I can remember. That's on you, if you're friends. But you were Kiyomi and Emi's friends, and if you truly knew, Emi was my friend." he turnt to Suzume intently then, "We had a relationship, that's the truth of it. It was only ever mildly sexual - a grope, that was once. That's when she admitted she couldn't be in relationship with me because of Kunaima. And I said I understood, and left it at that. We became good friends after that - but that diary was only written as poison. There were no three occasions, much less two. Only one, and it wasn't some dark tale. It was written in fear for this man punishing her, so there were exaggerations; as well as Kunaima's influence once he found out, which is why it's been buffed to make me out like a boogyman. You know that, and I know that. I can see it in your eye; you have trust for me, but you're like any matriarch that's just found out her brood's been attacked in someway. Your first instinct is to kill, but like I said, your code and your own person - I didn't do anything to her. Nothing like has been described or painted in a way that was like that."

He finally started to wind down - those words had tired him, but that sword toted infront of him so quickly, had managed to keep him awake. If only because he felt some sense of betrayal, as much as Suzume might've.*)
Kan, Yeu says: If you don't believe me after all's said and done.. then, that's on you. Cut me down, if that's what you take pride in. While I'm weak and bound for only doing what I believed was right - trying to get an answer for the people who killed my friend in cold blood and act like delivering their body to Konohagakure was much as a condolence as they needed to put forward.

(*Kan, Yeu 's mouth feels dry. He grunts, supposing it was the desert, then looks off to the side as he picks up on the two whispering. Not by intention, but by chance of them standing so close. There was nothing more to be said, he spoke his piece and if anyone else was too stupid to understand it, he made a poor choice to pick up the skills of a linguist out of anything during all his travels. He looked gravely towards Suzume for an answer to it, "Enough whispering. Say what you want to already, Suzume."*)
(*Ling, Lou walked on over right next to the Isihara and his entire body leaned forward like a tilted broomstick, unshaking and with perfect balance.
He eyed the beaten sand user with a brow arched, then the others. Interesting.*)
(*Sayako lets out a slow and steady breath as she continues to watch everything come to a final conclusion. Her hand still rests on Shio's shoulder, a silent encouragement for the girl to stay back from such an emotional group of people all centered around Yeu. Speaking up was one thing, but if Shio repeated history and tried to run in to save him it could end up with her being hurt unintentionally.

"It's time to decide. It's cruel to make him wait any longer." She states calmly toward Reno and Suzume. Making a man plead for his life left a bad taste in her mouth. Yet if you were to ask her, the only person that could have saved him was the long-dead victim.*)
(*Ishihara, Sanako continues to loom over the results of unfortunate events. She'd been away from the entrance for hours, only to come back to blatant cruelty. Could she blame them? The traveler had one hell-of-a big boy mouth. Whatever the reason may be, it hadn't been her business. Likewise, the only business she'd worth chiming in to was that of Reno's. A hand is placed over his shoulder, if only to plant a light squeeze. She lowers her tone to that of a whisper.*)

He wouldn't even try to apologize to someone who was not only a family member but was close to Emi.... Stop defending him."

His attention would shift back to Yeu. He wouldn't just stare at him for a moment then call out to Suzume, still keep his gazing fixed towards him.

"Suzume... How much does he mean to you?" he mutters. Sanako's words were defintetly noted as well. *)

(*Kan, Yeu shifted uncomfortably as there was very obviously a rock sticking through his leg. Broken ribs, to boot. He hadn't been treated yet, so it was only his rest prior keeping him up. He looked to Suzume now, directly ahead at the woman.*)
(*Suzume looks back to Yeu, then turns, sword in hand, and approaches Reno. Her voice lowers.*)
(*Shio backs up a bit till she's pressed against Sayako. In the end, her friend was right. Something about the Uzumaki's words rubbed her the wrong way unfortunately.

"...Emi was more than just some kid, Reno. She was her own person! Why the hell is it that everyone's treating Emi like she wasn't fit to make any decisions for herself? Maybe if people hadn't been so overprotective of her she'd still be here now. Did you ever think about that? Everyone just wanted to manipulate her 'cause they thought they knew what was best for her. Till the very end, I get the feeling that's how things were. It's disgusting."

Bitter words. To her, Emi had been plenty smart. It annoyed her to see people constantly baby her.*)
Suzume says: Or if a Kaguya hadn't shot her in the throat...Maybe she'd be here too.

(*Uzumaki, Reno glanced at Suzume. He'd lower his voice and completely ignore Shio now.*)
Suzume says: Emi was a ward of the Temple. And if she had not been, Kirigakure would have tortured her and killed her.
Uzumaki, Reno whispers faintly.
Shio asks: How much was she allowed to know?
Uzumaki, Reno whispers faintly.
Suzume says: What do you mean? We held nothing from her.
(* One of Lou's eyes open just slightly, surprised by the allegations that may just be false. He directs his gaze to the beaten and battered man, and remembers his reasoning to attack all these ninja, or the ones responsible at least, for the murder of his friend and her master.

He studies him pensively, and the look he's got on is judgemental, like he's actually not in favor of him, but it all changes when the oriental man speaks up, both eyes appearing as lines now,
"Rape allegations are serious. From where I come from, the punishment is death. Yet, I've seen so many young warriors and scholars fall to the emperor's hand due to grudges and jealousy." he had no care what the people here thought of him, the words he spoke appeared wise, his tongue silver,

"What I'm saying is.. leave the past behind, unless you can bring the dead back to life." he states coldly, a pregnant pause, "Only she could have given a decisive answer, not some book. Don't be fools and kill an innocent."

(*Suzume white knuckles the sword, her face scrunches. She lifts the blade to sheathe it.*)

(*Ling, Lou walks behind the Uzumaki and puts a hand on his shoulder less someone stopped him,
"Clear your head and think with clarity. I'll wager you haven't even talked to this man face to face yet. Do that before you take his head."*)
(*Kan, Yeu glanced briefly at Lou, this man was wiser than most, he could tell. And Shio had stuck up for him too so far, but he worried what might happen to an honest man like Lou if he were to linger long around the mines. A foreigner, like Yeu, with eyes that appeared like lines. He studied him briefly, then returned his attention to the others as the words befell them.

He uneasily teetered against the wall, dried blood and exhaustion evident. When Suzume sheathes his sword, there's relief - but, then a realization that his death had simply been signed over to others. In which case, his face simply flattens, waiting for what looked to be his death sentence.*)

(*Ishihara, Sanako lowers her head for a moment. The thought.. it didn't sit her well. She rarely knew not a fact of Emi's being, but simply that she was a little girl-- sometime too brash, sometimes too noisey.

Her chin tilts up, only to gaze over to Yeu as he's rested in his very uncomfortable state. The Ishihara's stuck in unimagineable thought. It only made her cringe in every worse way possible.

For now, she remains shut, only to give Reno the floor. It was his -family- after all.*)
(*Uzumaki, Reno nodded to Suzume. He then would shift his attention towards Yeu. In all honestly, if the Uzumaki tried to talk to him face to face but he seemed to get nothing but  harsh remarks about him. He didn't even acknowledge Lou. He made up his mind already as he was just filled with rage. He'll form the same handseal again.

 Charka would surge from his form and this time, it wasn't just one spike. It was a plethora a spikes would begin to shoot out from the ground around Yeu. They'll aim to skewer the man completely, going through his form and already rendering the wounded farmer.*)
(*Zencho would shift around on it's legs, glancing around at everyone gathered. When Reno moved to finish Yeu off, the fox would add it a full storm of senbon hair at the man.

(*Ling, Lou suddenly launches a haymaker for the Uzumaki's head, any handseal no good to the foreginer. The Uzumaki would find himself slamming into the earthen wall,
"What are you, ten?" he huffed angrily, "Go ease into those mineral waters East of here and think this through. Deliver a warrior's death, if anything." he ticked his teeth and lazily gestured to Kan, Yeu,

Ling, Lou thinks: I shouldn't have been so brash, but this is pathetic.

Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. At this point, she had seen enough hypocrisy to last a lifetime. Here they were trying to make the most of life in the wilderness, yet at the same time it involved acting no better than the very people they talked down upon. Due to her own debts, she'd speak one thing to Sayako lowly before pulling away from her and moving forward.

With Lou handling Reno, she'd handle the fox if uninterrupted. The Kabutowari was drawn from her back and a hammer would find its way into the side of the beast to slam it into Hiiro. Animal or not, she wouldn't hold back.

(*Sayako had kept her hand on Shio's shoulder for just this reason. As soon as the girl tries to step away, she puts all of her strength into this grip to keep the girl right there.

Shio would have had to break away from the medic in order to get over to the fox.*)
(*Ishihara, Sanako noted the swift movement coming in on the oriental's favor. Truth being told, she wasn't expecting for Reno to land any kind of finishing blow on the Kan, but his thought process couldn't be helped. Before he could possibly land any direct hit on Reno, she immediately reacts. A palm is immediately met with Lou's sudden attack, if only to absorb it by gripping for the blacksmith's wrist. If successful, she'd forcibly pull him to the side.

"Stay out of this," she demands.*)
(*Ling, Lou watches the woman overextend and lean just infront of him, as he had used his left fist to launch the attack. It's a very awkward scenario between him and the Isihihara, like she's inviting him for a dance with the awkward way to block a blow.
Although pulled, his footing by no means weak, and he stands resolute, tougher and brawnier than the female. He sways his arm to the side and frees himself from her hold, briefly glaring over at her, before his eyes shift back to the man who he could only presume to be dead.

A lifeless body with several holes and an abundance of blood. If so, then the sight is gruesome enough for Lou to wrinkle his nose, then calm down after a few seconds and let out a fat sigh, having been used to such treatment from his homeland.*)

(* The world was cruel and unusual. Who knew, he'd be stricken down by some by some pernicious lies. As soon as those handseals were being made - his knew his fate was sealed, as the earth churned and speared him. He twisted horribly along the rocks, still bound, and now in such a way that it was like watching a rabbit in a bear trap try and writhe free as the jaws of something snapped around it's body, except this was several times over.

Unless of course, Shio and Lou had saved him miraculously.

But if not, he simply screamed as the feeling of pain he had earlier was explored all over again - earth sliding into his flesh and out the other ends. Blood dribbled down his mouth and he made a few noises, but they were weak and raspy, showing the inhumanity of it. He couldn't do anything, that was the worst thing about it.

He howled and then, his body seemed to slump against the rocks as he was unable to do much else now, littered with some more things it looked like. He was alive, if only because the injuries he sustained earlier, didn't completely ruin him, but not by large. Blood eked out of his mouth and other spots, where the blood was held still from coming out by rocks, "Tt-t-this." he tried to manage between fits of pain and some of the blood choked back, "This makes you happy?" his eyes felt like drifting shut, an honest question uttered on a wisp of a voice. This seemed to be it, unless Reno stopped now, as he lay there, spikes jutting through that metal arm and through his sides and legs and arms, all that. Blood was splayed across each impact.

(* The consequences were bound to be dire. Failure, as far as she was concerned, was never really an option. Punishment without solid evidence was inexcusable and things never seemed to be let go when they needed to be most. When held back by Sayako, she'd struggle for all she was worth.

Her words moments prior no longer mattered. The pain of the defenseless man had moved her heart and she'd do everything in her power to reach him. Unfortunately for her, her strength was beneath Sayako's own. It was a fruitless effort.

"Let me go, Sayako! Let me go!" she shouts, reaching forward desperately with an outstretched as if she might somehow still be able to save this damned soul.

Now more than ever, he seemed to be out of reach. He was filled with spikes and there wasn't a thing she could do to help it. Not a single thing.

(*Ishihara, Sanako held a tightened grip on the man's wrist, if only for the seconds that'd save Reno from a blow to the temple. Her grip was quickly combatted with, as it proves to be broken out with ease. She'd only give him a brief stare before turning to gaze over at the Sayako and Shio fiasco.*)
(*Uzumaki, Reno just watched the aftermath of his display. Not paying attention to anything around him. He was acting full on emotions at this point. He'll amble forth towards the male that was riddled with holes He'll slowly amble forth towards the man as he tapped a seal on his chest.

From what seemed like nothing all of sudden appeared a katana. He'll begin to unsheath the blade and just stare down at the man. His filled with nothing but rage.

"...Yeah.. it does. What you did was.... Terrible.. And the fact you tried to lie about it to my face... It pisses me off...." he'd answer truthly and ask a question of his own.

" Did  raping Emi make you happy?  Did you enjoy it?" he'll ask.*)
(*Sayako kept her composure stoic as she watched the spikes tear through the man. At one point in her life she would have felt a deep compassion for the man, trapped and alone in his last moments. But as it stood, Shio was more important now.

The medic's grip switched to add another hand to Shio's arm, simply to solidify her grip on the girl and keep her from doing anything that could put her in harm's way. "You made the choice, now look at that man. He tried to murder Hisao. He raped Emi. He spoke nothing but lies and hatred so he could escape justice and you want to defend him. You want to attack the only people in this world that are willing to protect you and keep you safe from monsters like him." The words falling quickly as Shio continued to struggle against Sayako's grasp.

"Wake up, Shio. Blind compassion and selflessness won't get you killed, it will get the people you love killed."*)
(*Kan, Yeu twitches here and there, life starting to fade from him steadily. His eyes were trying earnestly not to shut - simply because of pride and halfly because this man still had something to do him, prove to him evidently. His lips curled into a sour expression, "I didn't rape her, nor will I ever admit to something that's a lie. If-if you're going to kill me for the rage in your heart.." he spitefully uttered, "Do it like a man in the least." he simply settled, stubbornly, that katana folded as soon as it was unsheathed. It scattered into more or less a thousand, sundered shards of neat metal and flew off to the side. But a few were saved, if only so he could use what remaining chakra he had from all that sapping to lift that hat Sayako had otherwise ruined off to Shio with the metal underneath it - acting as an airweight like gas into a blimp. It stopped short of her.

(* There was too much blood. Why couldn't she stop it now? Sayako's grip had only become more restrictive and it pained her. More than anything, she wanted it to end.

But the end she wanted only alligned with two other people. They were sorely outnumbered and outclassed.

"Monsters like him? Do you see Reno right now? Tell me -Reno- isn't being a fucking monster, Sayako!" she screams, twisting and pulling with intense vigor.

"He's killing a defenseless man based on hearsay! I get that he tried to hurt Hisao, but he did it because someone he cares for was killed! You can understand that, can't you? This isn't right! Nothing about this is right!"

An object was deposited by her feet and her eyes were drawn down to it. How she wished now it could be him to give the object to the man and not someone like her. Hope was fleeting.

(*Ling, Lou stared away as the man was not only killed, but done in horridly. Lou knew one thing, that a man has no reason to lie in the face of certain, and close death. Alas, it was too late, the blow had been dealt and the wound couldn't heal, as well as the words. Truly a tragic tale, of a man that more than likely never did any of the listed wrongs, to be remembered as something he wasn't. Yet, such was the tale of countlress people.

The foreigner watched with icy veins, and anyone that had his eyes on him would feel an uneerie, cruel vibe, as much as he wanted mercy for the stranger. It all seemed to have vanished.*)

(*Uzumaki, Reno just stared at the Kan for a moment. A faint smirk would begin to form on his features. It was almost sinster like. He tuned out everything around him. The words that would register to him is that of Yeu. He'll begin to wind up his sword as he just stared at the man.

"You can aplogize to Emi in the afterlife.." he mutters, clearly not paying no mind to the man's words before.

"And.. Also, don't worry, Yeu. Kunaima will be joining you soon." he'd say and just like he'll aim to slash at the man's throat, if allowed obviously. Piece by piece, it seemed he started to turn into the very thing  he disliked when he was younger.*)
(*Kan, Yeu 's throat was slashed. Blood pooled over the scene and that was the end of Yeu; hamartia approached, gruesome as it was. His eyes faded over now, finally.*)

Her head swiftly cocks itself over at Reno. The sight of blood splatted across the area. She was seeing more red than shades of gold. Almost without an ounce of hesitance, she'd stride forth and grab hold of Reno's arm, as if to hold him back from anymore damage. Yeu was going to die, whether or not the slash was done.
