  1. [04:54] Yvel would be idling on the bench reading his book, as time went on he'd eventually see Theo run past out of the corner of his eye he'd wave him down to come sit next to him and with a smile he'd point down towards the book he was reading showing the picture of a particular plant. "Just the man I wanted to see. I was reading this book about medicinal herbs and other foliage that can be used whilst in the field to craft medicines and various other cures. Mind helping me with my research? I could use your expertise in the craft despite me not investing my time into Alchemy I want to at least know how to draft medicines and be able to recognize poisons and plants."
  2.
  3. Yvel had been taking his training to be a doctor quite seriously these days. Now that he had felt developed in his magical skills he wanted to focus his time on acquiring as much knowledge and solutions as he could. After all this was something important to him and the knights who would follow under him as well.
  4.
  5. "So do you think you could help me? Or possible show me where and how the different plants grow in the area?" Yvel would ask giving Theo puppy dog eyes.
  6. (Yvel Endore)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8. [05:02] Theodore was heading towards the house's vault before Yvel ask him to come closer. "Oh, hello Yvel, how do you do?" The boy asked, and after that, he took a seat on the wooden bench next to the knight.
  9.
  10. He took a look at the book for a moment while the blond-haired explained his interesting in something that Theo knew very well. "Of course, I can help you with that Yvel." The teenager replied to his brother, glancing back at him.
  11.
  12. "Let me grab something from the vault to start, the lesson, wait for me in the classroom."
  13. (Theodore Endore)
  14. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  15.
  16. [05:05] Yvel nodded and followed Theo into the class room they had set up to teach any of the Endore children about whatever topic they could manage. After all it was always good to have a study room! Yvel hadn't been the student to anyone in some time and it was just the perfect feeling to sit back and take notes. He awaited for Theo to come back while he looked over the book and sat in the chair.
  17.
  18. As he did he'd merely watch as Theo setup before he started his lesson. Intent on listening to the popular alchemist and researcher of the Endore family.
  19. (Yvel Endore)
  20. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  21.
  22. [05:10] Theodore went running towards the family vault of the Endores and took all the herbs and fungi, which he could find.
  23.
  24. After that, the teenager went to the classroom, where his whole family was once educated, there Yvel was waiting for him. "Okay, let's start with the first thing, soothing reeds." He took out from his travel satchel a long rood with some white dots and a musky odor.
  25.
  26. "What do you know about this?" Theo asked showing it to his brother, and wait for his response.
  27. (Theodore Endore)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [05:15] Yvel thought about what he read about soothing reed, While most of the information was medical on his part he'd start by reciting a bit of what he knew. "Well I know it has an potent calming effect and from time to time it is smoked to help reduce pain or just general relaxation."
  31.
  32. Yvel wondered if that was the correct answer after all he was sure there were more uses than one with a plant of that variety. Probably things Yvel didn't even know about it. He'd stand and watch as Theo continued his lesson.
  33.
  34. "Are their any other uses for this plant beyond that?" He'd ask, Yvel always wanted his students to ask more questions or perhaps he himself was had always been a curious guy.
  35. (Yvel Endore)
  36. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  37. [05:24] "Right, Soothing reed, they are a type of relaxing herbs, you can pour their white parts in a tea to calm or relax people who are in need or pain." The boy explained while used his index fingers to points the leaves of the herbs.
  38.
  39. Theodore waits for a moment or two for the blond to assimilate the information and then continue. "it can be used to put someone to sleep, in case that it needs. " he explained and then took the herbs away.
  40.
  41. "I must warn you, that It can be very addictive and its use can lead people to lose their memories, in a long term of course."
  42. (Theodore Endore)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [05:28] Yvel would be jotting down this information in his notes, making sure to add that the it could be not only used to cure pain in a tea but could be addictive and cause memory loss even! What a potent medicine for sure.
  46.
  47. "Mh'd I'd have to make sure to use that sparingly if that's the case, Sure there are somethings people would like to forget but the fact that it can be addictive is worrying as well." After all having too many people abuse drugs because it was placed in medicine wasn't going to be a good look for a doctor.
  48.
  49. As Yvel finished taking notes and writing everything for his review he wondered how he could use them in medicines perhaps it would be best used when he needed to relax someone who suffered immense trauma from a wound that couldn't be healed by holy magic? Yvel kept thinking of ideas he could use the plant for as Theo introduced the next plant.
  50. (Yvel Endore)
  51. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  52. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  53.
  54. [05:34] "Perhaps, you can use the soothing reed for anesthesia," Theodore suggested, and then took out from the leather satchel two reagents.
  55.
  56. "Now, look at these two...do you know them?" he asked, showing to his brother a greenish five-leaf plant and a reddish flower, that resembles caviar.
  57.
  58. The boy glances over to his brother and wait to see if he had an answer.
  59. (Theodore Endore)
  60. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  61. [05:38] Yvel hadn't seen either of those before but he had remembered a passage about a red flower that was called Sinka? Oh yes and there was a few drops in his mead once before as well! "Erm I think the red flower is named Sinka? I am not sure what uses it has nor of the other plant but It sure looks like something you'd want to use."
  62.
  63. He'd look at the leafy green plant and studied its structure making a sketch of both the flower he thought was Sinka and the other plant he knew not the name for.
  64.
  65. After he finished his sketches he'd think more about what it could be and stayed silent as he allowed Theo to tell him.
  66. (Yvel Endore)
  67. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68. [05:49] "lets start with the sinka." He grabs the red flower and place it on Yvel's table.
  69.
  70. "Do you see it colors? this herb calls also the blood flowers, legends said that it grows after two magi battle for their lives, where their blood lands, it enriches the soils and this little thing grows," he said admiring it for a moment, Theo would wait for Yvel to take notes on this.
  71.
  72. "That been said, these kinds of flowers are rich in nutrients such as iron. " Explained the Endore and then took it away from the tables. "The side effect if someone uses it too much can cause erratic behaviors." Added the alchemist, while he walks to his escritoire and glances back to Yvel, waiting for him to digest all the information.
  73. (Theodore Endore)
  74. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  75.
  76. [05:56] "Wow quite the rich history for this flowers creation...but still for something to be born out of bloodshed is quite incredible...and poetic in a way." He'd say as he'd hear what other benefits could be seen from it, It was indeed blood red, But as Theo explained it could make someone have erratic behavior?
  77.
  78. "Hmm perhaps because of the blood used to create it was hyper infused with adrenaline and mana at the time of its creation, This plant is the bi product of two magi fighting and any magi fighting is sure to have explosive hormones going while they' do battle." Yvel would then think of ways it could be used in medicine, While it was often he needed someone battle ready he could in fact use it to have the opposite effects that the sooth reed would have.
  79.
  80. "Perhaps I could use it as a stimulant or a steroid or even process it into pure adrenaline so I could reactivate the bodies cells and kick them into high gear." Yvel continued to jot down ideas around his sketch of the red flower, Making sure to list at the top S I N K A spelling out its name perfectly before waiting for the next herbs description.
  81. (Yvel Endore)
  82. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  83.
  84. [06:08] Theodore listened to the ideas of the on-training medic and smiles. "That's correct you can use it, for that, since it can create a powerful potion, that makes people stronger for a moment, mimicking someone with a lot of adrenaline on his body." The young Endore, took the Alessa on his hand. "But, I introduced Sinka, with this herb for a reason," he mentioned with a calm voice, looking at the specimen for a moment and glances back to Yvel.
  85.
  86. "As i mentioned before, The blood flowers have a lot of iron, which is necessary to regain the, well, blood, and using the Alessa." he extends his hand towards the knight to introduced him the herb.
  87.
  88. "It can create a potent rehydrating serum, also known by commoners as a garden tea, but it can be the best way to reintroduce liquids and electrolytes, into someone's body, in case of burns, fatigue or even blood loss.
  89.
  90. Useful, don't you think?"
  91. (Theodore Endore)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [06:15] Yvel would make sure to take notes on this as well it was all so interesting! Not only did the green plant Alessia work well with Sinka but combined they could create a rehydrating serum that would be necessary especially after extreme blood loss to have.
  95.
  96. "Wow that is so cool, Not only do they both work well in tandem but on their own they are impressive as well. I never knew plants had so much to offer but the more I learn about them the more ideas I get." Yvel would think of ways to use Alessia to rehydrate patients either because of blood loss or some other vicious diseases he could make sure their body was preserved as they hung on for life.
  97.
  98.
  99. Yvel continued jotting down the words he heard and the ideas he had in his head it only continued to stream out, Of how each plant could be worked in together and how by adding and subtracting their unique traits one could craft a medicine that could help the masses."I think im starting to have a wider appreciation for Alchemist a lot more thought goes into crafting a simple potion than I first imagined." Yvel would admit.
  100. (Yvel Endore)
  101. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  102. [06:26] Theodore nods and smiles as his brother begins to gets how Alchemist was used more than just for people to get vitamin X. "That's correct, there is also another use for the Alessia, but that information is something i don't like to talk." The boy explained and shrugs.
  103.
  104. "Alessa and soothing reed can be used together too, but they need a magical sustains, that is rare...fairy powder." Theodore exhales and looks at Yvel with sad eyes. " I gladly do not have any example of that reagents, since it is...disrespectful.
  105.
  106. But it can increase a lot the healing rate of someone, even cure wounds in minutes." The young Endore added and his eyes when to his travel satchel to search from more herbs and lets Yvel take it notes.
  107. (Theodore Endore)
  108. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  109.
  110. [06:31] "A substance called fair powder that can heal wounds in seconds? Wow I never thought something like that existed...Combing that with my holy magic and something I could repair a lot of damage..." Yvel thought for a moment it would be quite good to be sure to gather much of these herbs during his travels so he could better procure potions that could heal wounds that he could not.
  111.
  112. Yvel would start jotting it down, Now he really didn't have much of a reference for fairy powder he honestly doesn't even remember if he had ever seen a fairy before in his life so he drew the best picture of he could of a fair dancing and powered drifting off their wings.
  113.
  114. "Alessa and soothing reed and fair powder ill be sure to bring some to you if I ever find any Theo I want to see what this potion can do!" Yvel was of course oblivious to how fair powder was made and thought instead it was just drifting powder from a fair. and not the horrible horrible truth.
  115. (Yvel Endore)
  116. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  117.
  118. [06:41] Theodore's eyes swiftly change from his satchel towards Yvel. "no... I don't want Fairy powder unless is necessary..." The boy shook his head in disapproval, and after, he got up from the desk and walks to the bookshelf on his left, he took out one of the books and passed it over to Yvel.
  119.
  120. "Page eleven." If the knight dares to open that book, he would see a lot of explanations of some reagents, and on-page eleven, a fairy powder pictures.
  121.
  122. It was a scheme that explains how the bodies of these mystical creatures, turns to dust after death ... some alchemist has gone to fairy tombs only to desecrate those bodies.
  123.
  124. Theodore walks back to his desk, fixing his eyes at Yvel, to see his reaction when he found the true on page eleven.
  125. (Theodore Endore)
  126. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  127.
  128. [06:46] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  129. [06:50] Yvel was confused about exactly what was wrong with fairy powder that got the usually calm and collected Theo to become upset and advertant to an ingredient. But as the book is placed in front of him and he is instructed to go to page eleven he sees exactly for himself what is done to it
  130.
  131. He'd be horrified his reaction was that of terror and for someone as kind as Yvel he'd even shed a tear to think that someone would do such horrid things to such pure expressions of mana and the lifestream. Yvel couldn't help but tear up a little.
  132.
  133. He'd close the book and promptly nod to Theo understanding why he didn't want to use fae powder. He felt a bit disgusted at his ignorance and that there were even people who would desecrate the remains of fae in such an improper way.
  134.
  135. He shook his head and slid the book back towards Theo and let him finish his lesson. He'd probably cross out his drawing of a fae powdwer and tear out the page throwing itin the trash. It was good information to know still but after seeing such horrid images he'd have it forever burned in his mind, He'd always remember. "I see...I won't bring it to you then unless its necessary."
  136. (Yvel Endore)
  137. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  138.
  139. [06:56] Theodore slowly nods, he'd wait until Yvel was ready to continue with the class. It is not easy to just know that something so powerful as fairy powders came from such a tragedy.
  140.
  141. After a moment or two, the boy took out a flask with a greenish contains. "Let me introduce you this now." he'd said with a kind smile on his face, waiting for Yvel to examines the item.
  142. (Theodore Endore)
  143. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  144.
  145. [07:00] "Hmm." Yvel would say as he looked upon the bottle it was filled with greenish liquids that moved quite unevenly. The bottle itself seemed quite interesting but Yvel wasn't quite sure what the liquid could be exactly.
  146.
  147. "Hrm...is it extract from a plant or animal? I can't imagine why it would be contained but perhaps its more toxic than most other things? I can only assume since the glass bottle its in is so think its dangerous in some way. "Yvel thought to himself using his own logic and the medical knowledge he'd gained through endless hours of studying.
  148.
  149. Usually something you'd want to make sure never broke were in thicker layers of glass so it could protect against whatever substance resided in there.
  150. (Yvel Endore)
  151. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  152.
  153. [07:09] The boy slowly moved the flask, the contents were sticky and lumpy. "Poison!." Theo exclaimed and took out some rope-shaped roots.
  154.
  155. "As you know, these come from powerful creatures, they are used to harm people but ..." The young Endore took out another empty flask and put one end of the flexible rope in the poison and the other end in the empty jar.
  156.
  157. Over time, a drop of a thicker and clearer liquid came out of the tip end in the empty glass flask. "We can extract something from these, that can be uses as a pain reliever, without less side effects than the soothing reed, but it's not that powerful."
  158. (Theodore Endore)
  159. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  160.
  161. [07:14] Yvel's shock and amazement would only continue as he saw something crafted in front of his eyes! It was incredible and non the less impressive to see it done before him and something made with poison and a plant named rope root, Next he began to draw the rope root as best he could, Of course he made simple sketches.
  162.
  163. Then he followed by drawing the venom and making sure to note that it was found by harvesting it from powerful monsters that contained venom within their bodies. Something that could be used to harm someone its effects nullified enough to be able to heal someone it was incredible feat truly. "Wow I never would've expected poison to be the base of a healing solvent that was totally un expected. but science sure is something!"
  164.
  165.
  166. He then took the Lax Essence and began testing it out on a few scrapes and cuts he had sustained during a little field exorcise. It was almost as if the pain was dulled entirely! Yvel could see the promise of this on larger wounds of course.
  167. (Yvel Endore)
  168. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  169.
  170. [07:14] {Item} You picked up Lax Essence. Dropped by Theodore Endore. .
  171.
  172. Endore. .
  173. [07:20] "The last one," Theodore mentioned and took out from his travel bag a sugar cap mushroom.
  174.
  175. "I think there is not too much medical use for these, besides that it yellowish part contains a lot of sugar on it and can be used as supplements when someone is low of energy, but i prefer garden tea for that." The boy explained, and after that took out every herb and flask that he had shown Yvel.
  176.
  177. "Do you have any questions?"
  178. (Theodore Endore)
  179. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  180.
  181. [07:24] Yvel still drew a small sketch of the sugar cap mushroom wondering if it could be used for anything more beyond that but if not it would always be good to add in his tea. After reviewing his notes Yvel had felt far more competent in being able to research and locate the various plants and herbs that magi used quite often.
  182.
  183. "No I think that just about covers it I feel a lot more educated about my medical knowledge with these things now. I merely need to go take my exam and see if I pass the bar to get my Medical Liscnes." Yvel would stand up putting his books away thinking about the lesson Theodore just taught him and how natural he was at it.
  184.
  185. As a teacher himself he couldn't have been more proud to see how well his brother did Yvel learned everything he needed to know and even more and somethings he'd rather wish to not know but he accepted. "You'd be a great teacher Theo! I'm sure when the academy opens they'll be scrambling to give you a job haha." Yvel said walking over and giving his brother a pat on the back.
  186.
  187. "I thank you so much for that again. Don't need to take up any more of your time though if you're busy." He'd say with a smile after all he just needed to study for this exam and pass with all the knowledge hes gained so far.
  188. (Yvel Endore)
