  1. Kings Bay was first found in the state of Griffinmead, in the year of 1436 by the Italian explorer Giovanni Rubin and Gomberto Luchetti and named Giovanerto, a combination of the founders first names. At first, the city served as a simple trading post on the mouth of Lake Eden, until the start of the 18th century when it came under Dutch rule. Under the rule of the Dutch, the city quickly grew to be a major metropolis sharing the coast of New York and Philadelphia. It would remain under Dutch rule until 1694 when the British came to take over the city. The British governor Sir John King who began his rule in 1694, was the one who named the city Kings Bay.

  3. King governed Kings Bay until 1740. The city remained under British rule until after the American Revolutionary War, during which the British used the city as a place to keep American prisoners of war. Throughout the 19th century, during the immigration booms, many of the city's districts were formed around the waves of immigration. Examples are Kingston, built around the Irish immigration wave, and Chinatown, built after the large Chinese immigration boom. Little Italy was also constructed, due to the large immigration wave, as many Italians were coming to the city. Little Italy is also known to be a stronghold of the DiCarlo family, an organized crime family set up in Kings Bay.

It was during the 19th century and the start of the 20th century that the city really grew to be a modern, American big city with the construction of Dereks Dam and the famous Kings House hotel, which would be burnt to the ground by an unknown arsonist in 1955 before it was rebuilt. The rebuilding process was completed in 1960.
