quick paste

This isn't really a rant, but rather a quick explanation about something.

I was asked last night if I would play DKC3 (not speedrunning, not streaming, just casually on my own). I don't really see a reason to, and I only have a J version of the game, so the answer would be no. I wasn't offended at all by this question. I think it's fair to ask me that. Reminder that I'm not anti-DKC, but I'm also not a runner of those games. Did I run them in the past? Yeah. Was I in the community? No. I was only welcomed by a few people. If that community was similar to other communities I do consider myself to be in, then it's highly possible I'd still be running the DKC games.

However, I'm not. I played DKC2 casually 4 months ago, but I haven't tried speedrunning any of those games since December 2016. Plus, DKC3 is hated by the DKC community, so I don't see a point in streaming it anyway since my chat would be nothing but "when's 46/1:53?" and "this game is gay LUL". Okay maybe this is a little bit of a rant, but that's all I have on that topic.

The DKC games remain some of my favorite, but I can't speedrun again them knowing what would happen.
