HEY! HAVE YOU HEARD IT ALREADY?

There is going to be some awesome new fresh looking forum software heading our way on the internet!

it's called SimpleBB.

And you instantly think "Wow again some software is getting abandoned within a year"

Well I hope not and I need YOUR help with it Smile
share this around and we might see each other in the near further having an interview

Why is it called SimpleBB?
Well the idea came of by building a as light as possible forum software which is usable by young and old which is user friendly and security that comes at the first place

Why would I use SimpleBB?
Well as a developer I am getting annoyed by software providers stating something is user friendly but when you bought their software it is not, or when you see they listen to their users when they clearly don't care about them.
If you have a cool feature, I will add it to my list of possible upcoming features.
If you have a less cool feature, I will add it to my list of features.

If you spot exploits or bugs then we will get into it as soon as possible and not likely other software providers which waits for weeks, I try to get it done the exact same day (no guarantees given of course).

Would it be 100% free?
Yes I will try to keep it 100% free.
If it is not possible to keep it up then I need to look into alternatives such as low price subscriptions for the download and (more) advertentions, but that's all about the hosting - domain & man hour costs but also about the donations received.

Does it work on free hosting providers?
We are testing it on different free hosting providers so yes it should work.
If your hosting provider is blocking it or it doesn't work, then you should contact us so we can take up contact with that provider!

What if I host content that isn't allowed by your ToS/ToU?
As we do not keep records of who download what we are allowed to take down your site and/or block access to our website.
If you use the forum software for illegal actions,
We are allowed to report it to the local police, which we may or may not do..
For further notices all domains will that are used with disallowed content will be published in a list called: "Domains of Shame".

We are not tracking every forum for legitimate usage and we are not going to close every forum for illegal content.

Illegal activity is in this case:
-Phishing Activity
-Racism
-Discrimination
-Black Hat Activities
-Etc.

Once again we are not going to be 24/7 looking out on forum for these activities, everything has to come off from the reports.
Sites like this are allowed.

This rule is a mind set and might not be taken within the ToS/ToU!

While downloading our software you have the opportunity to list your domain in our database to show the users that you are using our software.
This makes your users aware that you're following our ToS/ToU which increases your trust-worthiness.

This software will not *yet (cough cough)* be done for a living, so we will *still (cough cough)* have real life jobs.
Donations will only be used related to SimpleBB and not for personal usage.

What are our other plans after the first release:
1) Keeping it up-to-date and with new features
2) Making the codes as easy as possible yet clean
3) Better & More servers [to keep the speed growing] and ofcourse, backup servers (if one falls out the other one picks it up)
4) Hosting Providing [providing hosting for our own software for free]
So you do not need to search a hosting provider Smile
