  1. === Early Elevator ===
  2. Climbing and rolling up the short ledge immediately after doing the first Midna jump in Death Mountain Trail causes Link to clip out of bounds. If a jump slash is performed he will land on a platform out of bounds. From here Link can walk to the edge of the platform and perform an LJA to reach a shortcut area. (Iron Boots needed to activate elevator.)

  5. === How-To (Sword Sheathed) ===
  6. 1. Midna jump up and sidehop right
  7. 2. Turn human
  8. 3. Approach ledge and once Link starts climbing hold L.
  9. 4. Do a target-roll and hold forward
  10. 5. Press B on frame 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 of the roll. Different outcomes explained below.
  11. 6. Roll or jump attack once on the platform out of bounds to avoid the Goron punch
  12. 7. LJA to the left to reach the elevator

  15. === How-To (Sword in Hand) ===
  16. 1. Midna jump up and sidehop right
  17. 2. Turn human
  18. 3. Draw sword
  19. 4. Approach ledge and once Link starts climbing hit and release L to centre the camera.
  20. 5. Walk forward for 1 frame, then input roll on frame 2. Keep holding forward.
  21. 6. Press B on frame 5-11. Different outcomes explained below.
  22. 7. Roll once on the platform out of bounds to avoid Goron punch
  23. 8. LJA to the left to reach the elevator

  30. Note 1: Frame 1 indicates the first frame Link rolls. Control stick forward should be held at all times, otherwise Link will drop straight down with no forward momentum after clipping. The following table reveals the outcome of the jump when B is pressed.

  32. Note 2*: If Link performs a jump slash on frame 14, 15 or 16 using the Sword in Hand method, the jump slash animation will cancel and he will drop again with no forward momentum. If B is inputted after this Link will reach the out of bounds platform (although you have to wait a few frames so you don't repeat the process).

  34. Note 3: It's important to roll or jump attack immediately after landing on the platform out of bounds to avoid the punch from the Goron, otherwise he will push you back in bounds on the other side of the wall.
