But when he gets pissed off, they pronounced it as Hell. Backstory: Kyn was born and raised in Helsinki, Finland to a Finn father and a Korean mother. Growing up, he had always been attached towards his older sister to the extent that he would not even bother denying that he has a sister-complex. Kyn and Sera (his older sister) were always mistaken as twins. They did everything together. He had also learned figure skating because Sera absolutely loves the sports. As young as three years old, Kyn had been training for figure skating. It took a while - about two years - before he had fully grasps the basics and another five years to learn the advance steps and execute them well enough. He was ten when he first joined figure skating competition along with his older sister. As soon as he had mastered the basics of skating, Kyn had started to learn how to play ice hockey. Like with figure skating, it took him a while to be able to play the sport well enough.

Kyn was thirteen when their family had migrated to South Korea because of his father's  work. He had studied in Korea Kent Foreign School wherein he had met Soojung Jung (Krystal) who became one of his best friends. She was the one who had noticed that he can sing and she had then discovered his love for skating and therefore, his talent of flexibility. Soojung was the one who had encouraged her to audition to entertainment companies - specifically at SM Entertainment. And he did auditioned but sadly, he was rejected. Soojung told him if SM would not have him, then, he might as well audition for other entertainments such as JYP, Jellyfish, FNC and Cube. It seemed so unlikely that even Kyn could not believed it. He was accepted by the four entertainments he auditioned at. In 2010, he officially joined JYP Entertainment as a trainee.

During his days as a trainee in JYP, he had made friends but his friendship with Jinyoung (Junior as he was called during those times) stand out. Jinyoung had became one of his best friends (aside from Soojung). In the early 2013, Kyn had resigned from JYP Entertainment due to a falling out between him and Mark that had became almost impossible for them to fix. The former had made a decision that leaving would probably the best for all of them.

Kyn had spent weeks contemplating and reorganizing his thoughts. And he came to a conclusion that he wanted to continue the path to become an idol. Sure, he loves figure skating but he had grown to love performing as well. It was just his luck that he was scouted by Serenity Entertainment when he spending time with his siblings. He auditioned and was accepted to be part of Serenity Entertainment.

Personality: Kyn had always been depicted as a prince by his peers - having the looks and personality of one. He is known for being a gentleman and being respectful. He is the type who treats everyone with respect and the one willing enough to extend a hand to his fellow when they need help in academics. Kyn is very sweet and caring - often, he is said to be like a parent - he even got the nagging and scolding part down. He is the type who can get philosophical and gives out advices (that he does not seem to follow himself) and listens well. As such, Kyn is very responsible as well - he takes his tasks quite seriously.

However, as much as Kyn appears and acts mature - he is quite childish as well. A side that only those who he are close to him can witness. Yes, he throws tantrums too and those are not pretty as well as him losing control of his temper. Like a child, Kyn tends to get jealous easily but at the same time, you can distract him easily and stray him far from the original conversation.


Kyn is a very prideful person. He is not one to apologize or admit his mistakes. It usually takes a lot time before he would submit to the fact that he is wrong and apologize for his behavior. He is the type of person who would keep all his frustrations, anger and problems to himself, and he hates depending upon others - especially when tehy could be doing something more important. The thing about Kyn though, he is insecure, and he would silently seek the approval of those he trusts and would do anything to please them because he loves them.

Kyn is also quite perceptive - he is quick to pickup changes in the atmospher and understand how it came to be. Because of this, he knows how to approach situations - even fragile ones - and somehow, help in reverting things to normal.

Stage personality: On stage and on-camera, Kyn continues his angelic persona. Always smiling and oh-so-charming. He would always reprimanding his members - scolding and correcting them as well, fussing over them and basically acts as their keeper and parent. Kyn is also shows his sweet and affectionate side. He would often initiate skinship towards the members or their fans. However, he also shows in public, even angels know when to fall. Thus,  he shows that he can be quite nonchalant, blunt and savage when the situation calls for it especially when he sees an act of disrespect.
