	People have gone through the ages, building their base camps and showing those that want to know of the riches of these mazes how dangerous they can be. Beasts- no, monsters. These things have wormed their way into the mazes, and have come out more often than not deformed and looking like they had been thrown through a meat grinder, put back together into some sort of sensible shape, put through again, reshaped, and given a way to slaughter hapless adventurers.

	They lumber through these mazes, looking for whatever prey they can find to try and consume, and keep living... All of them, at one point or another, have fallen victim to the "curse" of this polluted place. The materials we gain from defeating these foes is what keeps us thriving, and goads us on towards discovering the truth of whatever this maze at Yggdrasil's roots contains.

	Monsters. Monsters each and every one of them, they are. Some of them grown to the size of a colossus, and trapped between that maze's walls... Some, as small as a rat, or a bat, and others that could dwarf anyone that even catches a glimpse of it.
