+Freddie Sparks __ Here's my impression of that 37 second clip. There is so much packed into it! The person filming first pans to show us the crowd that is to be in the path of the truck. Just like a horror movie! Those poor people don't know what's coming - but we do! Ostensibly the person filming is doing so because of the band - but there's no focus on the band - it's on the crowd ahead of the truck.






The camera then pans around toward the truck but first there is the skateboard guy who has already "sensed the danger". He's our first clue that there is danger. However - the women block him from our view and so one of them had to bend down at that precise moment in order for us to see the skateboarder. How lucky! Sure - she could be picking up her prayer beads - but it's not often you see people picking things up off the ground. When was the last time you were watching footage of a crowd and happened to see someone bending down to pick something off the ground? It must happen - but on this occasion it HAD to happen. By bending down to pick up her prayer beads she gave us a good view of the skateboarder looking worried. And we know exactly what the truck is accelerating toward - that poor oblivious crowd! Had we not seen the skateboarder then our "sense of fear" wouldn't have begun until later.






Then the camera keeps panning - past the truck - as though oblivious to its approach - but it must have been obvious to the person filming. However - by keeping the pan smooth and not flinching we got to see two guys react one after the other (but we don't see the truck on screen for the second reaction).






The person filming also managed to capture a guy nearby getting hit (though we don't see it - we see his "feet" and then the "wheels" - the easily imagined horror!). Just prior to that there was a flash of light revealing his face. He looked so peaceful and blissfully unaware. How haunting. How convenient.






After the truck allegedly went through the crowd we got to see a few frames of a girl's face and on it appeared to be an expression of "terror". All in all - could it have been better scripted? Could any more have been packed into 37 seconds? So many key details were "luckily" captured - *yet we got to see nothing at all of the incident itself which would have been impossible to miss with a camera even if not intending to film it! Didn't it all work out just a bit too perfectly*?!
